Experience was deplorable. Nobody seems like they care about pets, they're just doing their jobs. I received an urgent call from Dr. Jen, claiming my cat had Feline leukemia virus. I took him in for a possible eye infection, but they wanted to run a $310 blood panel, so I let them. The catch is: she only did a test that's used as a preliminary screening tool. Two tests are required to give a FeLV diagnosis and she omitted that info, failed to inform me of this fact regarding two tests, and furthermore attempted to convince me of how confident she was in her results. She knew I have 3 other cats and insisted I bring them all in for testing as well. That's a lot of money for the clinic! Just sayin' Anyways, due to her lack of emotion and compassion on that devastating call and during the exam, I took my cat for a 2nd opinion to someone trustworthy and had that 2nd test done, which is more accurate and necessary for a diagnosis. The results came back negative. Don't waste your money, which you'll be shucking out a lot of if you go here. Even for simple bloodwork. Dr. Jen has single-handedly eroded my trust in veterinarians. read more

This clinic was so very kind, gentle, sympathetic, timely and just plain perfect today during one of the most dreaded and painful experiences pet owners can imagine: saying goodbye to a dear friend. They treated my poor, cancer-ridden Rosie cat as if she were their own and consoled me while I sobbed at her loss. They also discounted my bill, which they did not have to do and which I am so grateful for. I don't have my Rosie anymore, but I have a new veterinary clinic where I know, For A Fact, any pets of mine will be cared for like the family members they are. My thanks are eternal. read more

This vet is all about the money grab. They recommend expensive testing that is not necessary and 2/year visits for pets that are on medication or they will not renew prescriptions. They do not care about the animals, it is all about maximizing what they can charge you. Do not use this practice. read more

This place killed my cat. I had a cat, FIV AND FELV positive. So she has been on and off sick for a couple of months. And the times that I have gone in, they have said it's her leukemia and of course, I believed them. I had no reason not to. There was no way to determine her age and I've had her for nearly 3 years so I knew that anytime could be the time the cancer takes her. Most recently I went because she had become completely stiff and paralyzed. I was very concerned because it was nothing I'd ever seen from her before. They ran tests and concluded that it was, once again, her leukemia and she would soon pass. They prescribed me steroids to give her a "pick me up" and as soon as I realized they weren't doing anything for her, she had already been too far gone. She was having consistent strokes and while the leukemia may have contributed, it WAS NOT her primary issue. They jumped to conclusions because it was always her leukemia before and because of their carelessness, she may have gotten treatment. She may not have had to suffer the way she did. She may still be alive. This was COMPLETELY unprofessional. Every precaution should've been taken. Every angle should've been looked at. And because these people decided not to, my cat passed after only 2 and a half years of having her. read more

took my 13 year old, small dog here mostly for an open tumor on her neck. Sat in the room waiting for over a hour. They wanted me to get a ridiculous amount of unnecessary, expensive tests not even related to the tumor. I felt like I was being upsold, not helped, the whole experience. They came back with the results of the tumor, saying it was benign and would be $1,800 to remove! I then took her to my old hometown vet for another opinion. He said it would take him 15 minutes to remove and $300. Felt quite uncomfy and I was being upsold from the moment I walked in this Vet office read more

We took our kitten in for constipation and they recommended an enema. we were very concerned and so we had them do it. They charged over $600 for this. We had issues on the follow up so we changed vets. We just went there and he required another enema and the new vet only charged $80. Town Center took advantage of us and completely overcharged. this is completely unethical in my opinion and would never recommend this vet. read more

I have been going to Town Center since 2000. I know all the staff members by name, and they know me and my critters. Why drive 40 minutes to a vet office when there's plenty of vet offices closer to my home? 1) They specialize in the dog breed, Bernese Mountain Dog, which we own. Our dogs have been going to Town Center since they were puppies. Many southeast lower Michigan BMD breeders go to Town Center even though there are other vets closer to them, too. 2) In my experience at least, they are more scientific about diagnosis and treatment than some other, closer vets. (Sometimes at other vet offices, I would feel like they were treating the animal for MY satisfaction, and not spelling out all the options in an objective way so that I could decide what was best for my pet.) 3) They explain all the medical stuff to me so that I can understand, too. 4) They have seen us through some tough times with our critters. Yes, you can easily spend a fortune on a pet, and they have always been able to help us decide how aggressive the treatment should be. 5) They are willing to equip us with the stand-by medicines and skills we need to handle minor emergencies ourselves at home, until we can get to a vet for more help if needed. 6) When necessary, they have provided information to a closer vet when there isn't time to drive all the way to Howell. They are willing to work with other vet offices and I think that shows professionalism. Their patients come first. Tip: The parking lot is at the back, off E. Clinton Street. If you want to keep your car cooler for your pet(s), make your appointment in the morning and park against the wall in the parking lot. The wall will cast a shadow and keep the car cooler. read more

We used to love this vet. Then we moved from howell. We needed to spay our puppy who had the Puppy Package with them. I made an appointment with the secretary who stated that my dog just needed to be done with her heat for 2 weeks and that's when the spay could take place. We drove 45 minutes out there and they turned us away because she was too swollen and it was supposed to be 2 months not 2 weeks, the receptionist had given us the wrong info. Ok fine, I'll take the extra 10% off that they offered and we made another appointment at the counter. So we make an appointment for 6 weeks later. We showed up and they had canceled our appointment. Between these appointments I had called and asked them (twice) to send her records to her new vet. They said they would. So today comes around and we take her in for her spay. They had canceled the appointment in their computer system because I had asked for her records. THE KICKER is that the new vet hadn't even receieved her records! They offered us a discount, but at this point they now screwed us over twice. We are just getting her spayed closer to home, it's not worth the discount to drive back out there. I recommend for check ups, but they need to better communicate between doctors and staff and they need to NOT cancel appointments simply because someone asks for a copy of their dogs records. read more

I was new the area a couple years ago and needed to find a new vet for our puppy. I chose Towne Center Vet Assoc. I was happy with all aspects of the routine care she received, and all the staff was so kind and welcoming. Fast Forward to today, I had an urgent situation with my Son's older dog Bella. He got married Saturday and is off to his honeymoon while I care for her. I had an urgent situation with her that her own vet was too "busy" to see her. I am so grateful to all of them. They immediately got her records, had me bring her in and took care of the problem in a matter of an hour. Thank you to all the staff and Dr. Prudente, we are so grateful! I've been taking my terrier mix to this veterinary office for 10-years. Dr. Pozniak was a wonderful, compassionate veterinarian and I so appreciated our visits. I last visited the office on 6/8/20 and was so sad to see how the exterior of the office has declined! I know this may not be of importance for some, but it certainly is not welcoming! There are weeds everywhere and unkept landscape. The paint on the entry walk is all peeling off. I'm not certain who now owns the office, but it would be nice if they even paid someone to clean up the outside. There are many teenagers out there that are looking for pay and would be willing to do so. I would be embarrassed to recommend this office to someone at this time. If you are thinking about bringing your beloved pet here, think again. Their staff, (expressly Samantha and the new young male vet) ignored my concerns about my dogs terrible smell, even when I expressly asked them to check her back end for infection. Instead, they proceeded to ridicule her calling her "Stinky" multiple times within earshot and belittle me for not bathing her enough. "She rolled in something dead", they said. No call back on the blood work or samples taken from her cyst. $260 later I still have not heard a word. Instead, I found a new vet, who discovered her untreated vulva infection, citing it was "the worst she'd ever seen and the other vet should've listened to your concerns." Overly fake friendly, unprofessional and dismissive, this place is not what it used to be since changing hands. No thanks. read more

We have been going to Town Center for 6 years. The practice was previously owned by Dr. Jackie Pozniak and as of November 2015 is now owned by Dr's Erik and Jenna Corbett. We were very happy with the practice before and couldn't be happier now. Even though Dr. Pozniak is retired, she continues to work at the clinic one day a week. The transition to new vets has been seamless. The care that our animals receive is wonderful. We have five Dalmatians! We have seen both Dr. Corbett's. They are highly professional, very personable, obviously love the animals and really know their stuff. Without hesitation, I would recommend them. read more

I have been going to this vet for YEARS and loved Dr. Posniak. I've been there just a few times and did not care for the new owners. They wanted to do a bunch of expensive blood work and test on my dog (who is old) and when I said that I didn't want the test done I was almost attacked my the female vet (can't remember her name) and she screamed, "don't you care about your dog??" I was shocked......and now I'm done. Going to find a vet that cares about the animals and NOT the money. read more

I have been taking my dogs to Dr. Pozniak for 10 years. I have been nothing but completely satisfied and would and have recommended her to many. This office is staffed with people who care and, unlike any other vet office I have used in the past 36 years, they remember me and my pets and treat all of us like family. The staff at Town Center is first rate. Dr. Corbett and his staff are excellent. The staff is very good with our dog Charlie. They have made her feel at ease when she visits. The office is super clean. They treat Charlie like she is part of their family with love and understanding. We are very well informed of her treatments and why she is being treated the way she is.
