Fabulous and caring clinic. Privately owned and operated vs corporate owned. Great technology when needed.

He was gentle and concise while outlining our choices. My husband and I had already decided that we didn't want her to suffer if her prognosis wasn't good. We decided to euthanize her and the doctor was respectful of our decision. The rest of the staff were likewise respectful and caring. They were all non judgmental by letting us choose to leave her in their capable hands. I just could not watch her die. Later, they sent us a condolence card. I thought that was very kind. This is the second time that I had to take a very sick and dying old cat to them. I remembered how the doctor did not pressure us into costly tests and therapies at that time. That differed from another vet office in Novi who wanted us to hospitalize the cat. I appreciated Millpond's pragmatic and reasonable advice at that time and at this time. They recognize loving a pet and death with dignity. I highly recommend this office!

He did a thorough check up when he administered the vaccine and told me what he observed, what may happen to her in the future and so on. His office staff is super nice and the office is immaculately clean. I have brought the pup there a few times but we now see another Vet. I would love to continue going to this Vet but he is a good half hour to 45 min drive from where I live...I just can't justify that drive since I have a great Vet closer by. I would definitely go back to him if I moved closer to his area or I ever needed a trustworthy 2nd opinion.

I know everyone has their opinion and experiences of vets. We moved to the Brighton TWP area 3.5…read moreyears ago and took our dogs to VCA in Howell. Nice vet, but seemed pricey. Fast forward to late 2020 and we have an emergency so go to Brighton Town and Country. Liked the ER visit, less expensive, so gave it a shot for a regular vet check up. That experience was horrible so we went back to VCA. I am beyond happy that we went back to VCA. You get what you pay for. While there for a nail trim and other normal routine vet stuff, the doctor noticed my one pup had an extremely high heart rate and needed to go to an ER vet so she could be stabilized. I called vets while waiting for a final bill and walk through of my dog's care and all, including the ER vets, turned me away. She did end up getting into MSU, but I don't believe that would have happened if it weren't for their tech Jessica. I was balling my eyes out not knowing what to do. ALL of the techs were caring and supportive, but Jessica was the one who jumped on the phone and tracked down a vet who would monitor her over night until she could see a cardiologist. I am beyond grateful. If you are looking for a vet, give this place a chance!

I gave them a call and they said to bring her in right away. We got there and there were a few other emergencies they were dealing woth. I waited about a half hour and that was ok because Lola was in no major pain at that time. She was bleeding, but when your nail is ripped off, what do you expect? My one complaint was that they seemed almost too lax that Lola was getting blood all over. I was told not to worry that they would clean it up. We went back to the room, then vet came in right away and took and look, then shared the plan. They took her in back and 10 minutes later she came out woth her paw all cleaned and wrapped. I felt very happy with how clear the vet was in regards to the treatment and her care she was receiving. I could hear the staff in the back talking to her and comforting her as they gave care. They didn't try to get me to run extra tests or provide extra services so when it was time to checkout, the cost was half the price of the last time this happened and we took her to a different ER vet. It was such a relief as these times are tough. I was very happy with this place and will likely Make it our regular vet! Thank you!

If you are looking for a vet who will show compassion not only throughout your pet's life but also…read moreduring one of the hardest days you'll ever face, I encourage you to carefully consider your options. Based on our experience, I would recommend considering VCA BRIGHTON ANIMAL HOSPITAL before here. This review is not simply about the heartbreaking loss of our dog. It is about how this vet treated our family during one of the most difficult moments we have ever experienced. Our dog was a patient here for years. We adopted him as a senior dog, knowing his medical needs would likely increase with age. Throughout that time, we invested thousands of dollars to ensure he had the best quality of life possible, only because we understood that was the only option. During the final months of his life, we were at this clinic monthly, if not more often. Everyone knew our dog. As his condition declined, getting him into a vehicle became extremely difficult. We made the painful decision to provide him with a peaceful, in-home euthanasia through a hospice service. We elected to have his cremated remains delivered to Towne & Country for pickup because the hospice provider routinely works with this clinic. When we called Towne & Country to ask if his ashes had arrived, we were told they had not and that we would be contacted when they did. After following up directly with the crematory, we were shocked to learn that Towne & Country had REJECTED delivery. The crematory informed us that when they contacted the clinic to clarify, they were given a "hard no." Unable to understand why this would happen, I drove to the vet in person. I was told that because our dog had not been euthanized by Towne & Country, they would not accept delivery of his ashes, even though he had been an established patient there for years and had received extensive treatment from this practice throughout the final chapter of his life. At a time when compassion should matter most, this response was devastating. We were already grieving the loss of our beloved dog, and instead of being met with empathy, we were left scrambling to figure out how we were going to bring him home one last time. To make matters worse, while I was visibly upset trying to understand the situation, a member of the front desk staff laughed at my reaction. This experience also reflected a broader pattern that we experienced during our dog's care there. When we sought a second opinion, Towne & Country was unwilling to send his medical records to another veterinary practice. Every pet owner deserves the ability to seek another professional opinion without added obstacles. I understand that every veterinary practice has policies. However, policies should never come at the expense of compassion, communication, or basic empathy, especially for long-standing clients experiencing profound loss. A simple conversation or willingness to help us navigate the situation would have made all the difference. This experience permanently changed how I view this practice. Losing a pet is painful enough. No family should have to endure additional heartbreak simply trying to bring their beloved companion home one last time. I rarely write negative reviews because I know every business can have an off day. Unfortunately, this was not a minor inconvenience, it was one of the most important moments of our lives, and Towne & Country failed us when compassion mattered most. VCA Brighton Animal Hospital was amazing. We wish we would've had his ashes brought there.

We couldn't be happier and are now complete believers! Since his acupuncture, Loki has a new lease on life! Dr. Matt is caring, thorough and goes to the extra trouble to explain everything in as much detail as you desire....I asked lots of questions, and all of them were answered. He is very knowledgeable on Eastern medicine and recommended some additional herbal therapies. The needles never seemed to cause Loki any pain and the sessions lasted less than an hour. We had a total of 5 initial treatments, and will do quarterly tuneups going forward. We saw drastic improvements after just 2 sessions. Loki is now pain free and as nimble as a dog 1/2 his age. Steroids never did that for him! I highly recommend giving this practice a try to anyone experiencing chronic issues with their pet.

It was difficult to find a veterinarian and office our family clicked with after our beloved vet retired. The reasons I trust Dr. Botsford and staff with my wonderful animals are #1. When my animals have an actual medical problem, Woodland fits them in. They are compassionate and quick. It's important to me that my animals are seen by the same vet that has their history when they need medical attention as is inevitable. Not only well visits and vaccinations. #2 Dr. Botsford and staff are gentle with my animals and my animals are not afraid after appointments. I have been to different vets in the interim between and I know my babies! They trust Dr. Botsford and staff. #3 Woodland and Dr. Botsford are unpretentious. My cat peed himself in the crate before an appointment. We tried to clean him up. Without hesitation Dr. Botsford picked up my cat and just took care of him! . We live on a farm and sometimes my animals may not be perfectly groomed. I feel no judgement, Only concern for the issue at hand. The office is very clean, but not fancy. The prices are reasonable and Dr. Botsford tells u options, recommending the most sensible. #4. I just opened up their Christmas card and it's SO CUTE! 6 dogs looking up at the camera at the same time, with a little kitten in the background. Dogs look smart and like they are loved . Background setting is behind the office desk. No costumes or poses. UNPRETENTIOUS! When we look for a Doctor to take care of our animal children, we don't need pictures with Santa or all that fluff! Our family needs a Doctor with old school values. A Doctor that really cares about animals. A Doctor who will see them when they're sick. I'm so grateful to have settled on Woodland Animal Hospital to care for our animals. I don't mind passing 10 other veterinarians on the way there! I'm very particular with the care of my animals. They can be rascals! Lord knows we need Dr. Botsford!
