Truth be told, I'd give 4.5 stars if it was possible. However, Yelp won't change and in this case,…read moreit was closer to 5 than 4 stars. We visited while on vacation in the area. We wanted Italian food and definitely were not disappointed in our choice. It was very busy and outside dining was not a choice because of rain. We were flexible and took a seat along an area by the bar. Our experience didn't suffer as a result. Our server was very busy; however, she was attentive and took time to answer our questions and check on us during our meal. We started with cocktails. My dirty martini came out perfectly dirty and with the three olives I requested. Once we ordered, it did not take too long before our meals arrived. They were perfectly hot, generous in proportion and very flavorful. My Linguine Fra Diavolo was spiced nicely and surprisingly had many shrimp. My partner ended up bringing some of her ample meal home (hotel). We were honestly too full to get dessert, although the options sounded delicious. An odd thing for us was the lack of bread to accompany our meals. We could not think of a time when an Italian meal wasn't served without a bread. Nonetheless, our meals were great. Was the meal a little pricey? Yes. Was it delicious? Yes. Would I go back if I was in the area? Definitely.

Overall, we were looking forward to visiting and actually had a fairly good experience while we…read morewere at the restaurant. To start with the good - the brussels sprouts were crispy and flavorful (recommend!) and the kids menu was reasonably priced with good options. The pasta main was also solid, not exceptional but definitely tasty. Our server was absolutely lovely, she was the highlight of the visit! Unfortunately, we ordered the fish special which was halibut and noted that was a little mushy on one side (sadly towards the end of the meal). We stopped eating at that point, but alas, too late. The individuals who ate the halibut became profoundly ill overnight (with what was most certainly food poisoning based on the timing and duration), while the rest of our party who did not have the fish was just fine. The rest of the day was completely zero risk food, which left no other true culprits. We tried to reach out by phone and email without so much as any acknowledgement. Unfortunate across the board.

We showed up on a Saturday afternoon around 5pm right before the dinner rush. When we arrived,…read morethere was one patron at the bar and another group sitting at a table. We were immediately greeted and shown to a table. Waitstaff was wonderful and joked with us as if we were old friends. That's always the best feeling. While they stayed professional we cracked up here and there! We started off with calamari. Both the red pepper marinara and spicy aioli hit the spot. Calamari was fresh out the fryer and brought to our table so quick! I ordered a lasagna Bolognese and that also came out fast and super fresh. I could only finish half of it and that was all that was needed to make the trek home. Keeping this place on the map. By the time we left it was nearly packed! The main drag has so many good options. This is certainly one of the spots to dine!

I wasn't too hungry so I got the bruschetta and we split the calamari too. Calamari app was good but would have liked some more variety vs just the rings, it seemed too Cisco-y for me. The dipping sauces that came with it were delish though--a nice roasted red pepper sauce and marina, you can't go wrong. My husbands lasagna portion was huge and came out piping hot, his was enough for a couple meals too so added bonus. Nice place and would definitely stop here again if I was craving Italian food in Frisco.
