Sweet potato fries were the only thing I ate that weren't soggy, one star for those. Plus they pack people in, & the people are loyal so second star for that. I'm a complete newbie to this south shore bar pizza thing but as an outsider this is possibly some of the weirdest but fascinating fan loyalty for bad food I've seen. I got "all the veggies" which apparently pineapple is now a vegetable. It was a huge mistake because it was soggy central, even though I ordered it crispy. If you're going to get anything here i think it's this -- cheese pizza extra crispy with lace crust. This is a spot loved by locals for some good bar pizza, salad and fries. Also, they have some daily specials such as American Chop Suey. Too often the service is inconsistent. Some are good servers, some just going through the motions. Last visit, after the lunch hour we arrived, got seated and didn't see out waitress for 10 minutes. No acknowledgement of the wait. Ordered fries as an app, 15 minutes later she dropped them off said "enjoy" and took off before I could ask for ketchup, finally walked over to the bus station and grabbed it myself. I finally came here after all of the hype and the pizza was a disappointment. It was very bland. I now take that back where they still are consistent, but they are consistently skimping on the toppings! I ordered an onion pizza, there were only a few shavings of onions. After I sat for 25 minutes after seated at the bar , told the bartender, never had to wait 25 minutes, she told me she was really busy, was not the case. 7/17/2020 - If you live in Boston, you're familiar with Channel 25, FOX. You also know that, during the summer they have a segment called "Zip Trip" which highlights, weekly Massachusetts towns. Their shops, food and people. So, I'm watching one day and the town of Stoughton is being featured. One of the Restaurants you MUST go to (they said) is Town Spa Pizza. Stoughton isn't far from my home, so i decide to go and pick up something for my family for dinner. I pull up and it's a revolving door. People going in and out. Okay I say. The outside didn't look very welcoming. I put on my mask (#COVID-19 sucks!) walk inside and immediately noticed the lack of moping to the floor. Over to the right LOL, you can buy lottery tickets. Probably other things as well, but isn't this a pizza shop? I get my food and try to pass my debit card to the worker. "We don't accept cards. We only take cash". I don't have cash. "There's a ATM right there". lol Are you kidding me. Is that even legal. What kinda establishment don't take cards? I take out the money i need. Thank goodness it was an Envision ATM, so i didn't have to pay a ridiculous fee. Okay, almost done. Get home. Open my food and how I wish i took pictures. I see other photos online and the food looks great. I can only tell you my experience. I ordered onion rings. Greasy and old oil. Seafood plate. Greasy and old oil. The clams and shrimp was rubbery. Thank you for ruining my Fathers Day gift from my wife. The only thing I wanted for Father's Day was town spa. I could not have that tonight because my wife was lied about how long the food would take by the unprofessional desk help. I enjoyed eating this pizza but I don't live in the area. Adding a cheese pizza and Greek salad one min after ordering does not constitute changing order time from 20 mins to a hour. My wife left after waiting 35-40 mins inside. The worst part was they were okay giving us our money back like we were nobody. That's why we will not be back! I would love a response from ownership or managers but I highly doubt they will want to deal with one pissed off customer they have more important customers to deal with. read more

We used to go to Town Spa quite often before Covid. If you're into bar pizza and like to chose your own toppings without being judged - Town Spa is the place to be. I'm not crazy about the service, but the food is great with the "take out" option. Heads up! They only accept cash. read more

I am still giving Town Spa a 5 rating because I do not want to hurt anyone's livelihood during Covid. But last nights pizza was atrocious. I order a pepper and onion and a mushroom pizza. It was a mess. They had triple the amount of cheese as usual. Is there no measuring cups used to dish out the cheese so that every pizza is uniform? The pepperoni pizza ordered had the perfect amount of cheese, the same amount used since the 1960's. Don't do me any favors by giving me 'extra' cheese for free. Sometimes I will order pizza and ask for 'light on the cheese'. I've stopped that as the last few times they put practically no cheese. If a regular pizza has say 1 cup of cheese, if someone asks for light cheese put say 1/2 cup of cheese. It's no rocket science. As usual, the chicken fingers were amazing as was the famous honey mustard. Greek salad was stellar. Please, please just make pizzas correctly. read more

Excellent pizza, incredibly tasty! My favorite is the light sauce, extra cheese and pepperoni. They only do personal pan pizzas which I thought was a little weird at first but I can completely understand why now. It keeps all the flavor uniform I think. I think it's a great idea honestly. Their prices are a little high in my opinion but it's definitely worth it. The staff is very friendly, wait time is average, there doesn't appear to be dine-in at the present time. The pizza is very savory, my boyfriend got the buffalo chicken at one point and it was amazing, even though I usually go for more traditional pizzas. I highly recommend this place! read more

I've been going to Town Spa for decades, and it still measures up as one of my favorite pizzas anywhere in the US. I eat there whenever I'm back home visiting. A few extra comments: - ask to get your pizza extra crispy. It won't come out super crispy or anything, but it adds a slight amount of crisp - they offer thick crust pizza, but just stick to the original - the crinkle cut fries are amazing as an appetizer - there is a full-size Crescent Ridge Oreo Ice Cream Pie on the dessert menu. It sounded amazing, but it was crap in reality. It was basically just vanilla ice cream with some Oreo pieces spread on top. Get your dessert fix elsewhere. read more
