They have forged documents to mimic my bank! The banks investigation team found Town Mortgage was forging documents in attempt to get more money! They also stole the escrow money and I had to pay out of pocket on top of the escrow money. My brokerage agent wrote a letter to town mortgage with no response. We have just retained an attorney and with the assistance from my bank and brokerage can show some very egregious behavior. They need a congressional investigation. Mortgage company is trash. It's sad that you get a mortgage with a real lender and end up with one of these backyard or basement organizations. As many others my mortgage amount has accrued fees without any explanation or sensible reasoning. They seemed to have lost my Mays payment although I have the tracking number and all other necessary information. You can't get a supervisor on the loan. I would love for them to sell my mortgage back to a reputable company. UPDATE: They claim below that the misapplied my payment which is the most non-sensical thing I've ever heard. In addition I checked my credit this morning and they reported me as being 30 days late so my credit just took a 70+point drop from that reporting. I will provide an update if this is ever resolved and corrected. In addition I have been asking towne mortgage for over a year why my payment increased. I understand that my taxes went up however my mortgage is about 300+ more than it was a year ago and the answer was the taxes which can't be true because the taxes are about $900, that amount would have been satisfied with the extra money I'm paying in about 3 months or so but I pay this additional amount faithfully for over a year. When I call no one wants to answer as to why this is happening. I also have sent emails to get something in writing, also no response. I get having a business model that makes a company profitable but I'm sure I'm not the only person this company is taking advantage of. It's a shame there's nothing you can do but refi and who wants to do that? I shouldn't have to be inconvenienced as much as I have been with this company. YIKES! Dealing with Raeshel Phillips (Escrow Specialist) Linda Maas (Manager of sorts) and Jenny (the phone troll), has been hazardous to my health. I've had a mortgage with this company for several years and have never really minded dealing with them. My mortgage is on auto pay, I think not about it, and here we are...until 2 months ago when I decided to pay down my mortgage to remove the PMI that I have on my account. June 4, 22 - I called in to request an estimate of how much would need to be paid down on my mortgage to remove my PMI. Jenny, said she would pass my information along. When I inquired as to how long it typically takes for a response, she responded curtly as if to say, "Whenever they get back to you, they get back to you. Deal with it." Wow, how lovely is she! June 6, 22 - Raeshel Phillips responded back via email that I would need to pay $105 to have someone assess my property to get me an answer. I advised that very same day that I wanted to know an approximate amount to see whether or not I even had those types of funds available before proceeding. July 7, 22 - (1 month, 2 days and 3 emails without reply later) - I received a response with the total amount, to the penny, to be paid off. Seems simple enough. Raeshel apparently was on vacation for 2 of those weeks. Now, everyone deserves a vacation, but you can't tell me that the company ceases to exist while she takes her vacation. She can't be THE only person who can answer this rather simple question. During this time, I called and spoke with reluctant-to-help Jenny I believe 3 different times, asking who I could speak with to get this answer. She relayed to me that no one would answer that question without paying the assessor to come out. Helpfulness overload! On the final occasion, before collecting Linda Maas' information, I advised I had been reaching out to Raeshel via email and had not received a response. She stupidly admitted she could see the log of these emails that had gone unanswered. INTERESTING! So as an employee, you see this customer has been reaching out numerous times without response without any lightbulb going off for good ol' Jenny to then perhaps prompt a response from someone else who could help. Nope! Customer service, on any level, must be above her pay grade. July 8, 22 - Check was sent from California to Michigan. July 11, 22 - I emailed to advise that the check had been sent 3 days prior and to please notify me once received. Now, I don't work for the US Postal Service, however, I do know that it doesn't take 14 days to deliver one envelope from CA to MI. Between my initial advisement on July 11, 22, I emailed Raeshel 2 additional times inquiring about my check and explaining my concern about my banking and routing information being available. She responded back on July 22, 22 claiming that the check was received that very morning. In the email she stated the broker would be reaching out in 1-2 days to schedule a time to come assess my property. July 26, 22 (4 days later) - I emailed to ask for the broker's information, and express my distaste for her lack of urgency to help her customers. As of this morning August 2, 22, (11 days later) I have yet to receive a response. SHOCKER! August 1, 22 - I FINALLY, involve Lisa Maas via voicemail. August 2, 22 - The broker called five minutes prior to Linda returning my phone call. The timing seems very suspect, given my very direct voicemail left for Linda to call me back immediately the night prior. The broker was friendly and explained he had ample availability and is scheduled today. I asked him out of curiosity when he received the work order from Raeshel, to which he explained Friday, July 29,22. He has no reason to lie about that, but according to Linda Maas, he lied about this timeline. ANOTHER EXCUSE! It was clear within about 60 seconds of speaking with Linda that she was more concerned about defending her employee and making excuses than actually listening and resolving the issue. I explained that I'm a reasonable person who understands the COVID excuse, understaffing excuse blah blah blah, but that it took me 2 months to call her to complain about the situation. That seems INCREDIBLY reasonable and patient to me! Linda, a piece of advice, listen rather than respond. I knew talking to you was not going to benefit me in any way, but Raeshel's lack of follow through was so flagrant something had to be said. A simple acknowledgment and apology would have gone a long way, but it is apparent that you must not have been trained or socialized in conflict resolution. As you can see, I was not the type of customer being rude or harassing toward anybody and was more than patient in between each of their lack of responses. Terrible Experience with TOWNE MORTGAGE COMPANY! I cannot express how frustrated I am with my experience dealing with TOWNE MORTGAGE COMPANY. They have been charging me arbitrary fees without any explanation and completely ignoring my inquiries. I took out a loan with them a while back, and suddenly I started noticing extra charges on my statements, including like double charged monthly payment, late payment fees, additional unknown fees, etc. None of these fees were mentioned in our initial agreement, and when I tried to get answers, I was met with absolute silence from their customer service department and other departments. I've sent multiple emails and made numerous phone calls over three months, but it's like talking to a brick wall. The lack of transparency and the company's refusal to respond to my legitimate concerns is appalling. I strongly advise everyone to stay away from TOWNE MORTGAGE COMPANY. Their business practices are unethical, and they clearly have no regard for their customers' rights or concerns. I am now having no choice to escalate this matter to the Towne Mortgage Company management and regulatory authorities and seek legal remedies to resolve this dispute, and I urge others who have faced similar issues to do the same. Avoid TOWNE MORTGAGE COMPANY at all costs. You deserve a loan company that treats you with respect and transparency, which clearly isn't the case here. Towne is holding up $391,000 of our money due to their incompetence and sloppy business practices. In 2017 our loan was taken over by Mr Cooper. We have been paying on our mortgage to Mr Cooper every month and we have good credit. We have never received any statements that we owe Towne any money and even have an email from a Towne employee dating back in 2017 stating that our mortgage is now with Mr. Cooper and that we have been "released" by Towne Only problem, they never filed the release with the county so it looks like we owe $391,000 to Towne AND Mr Cooper! It looks like we took out a second mortgage when we never did and we definitely have not received $391,000. We just sold our home and on our estimate of payout it says that Towne has it recorded that we owe $391.000! They will not release the money to us until Towne will file the doc they should have filed 5 YEARS AGO!!! This has my husband and I are so upset. We cannot buy or get into a contract on another property until this is resolved. WE ARE IN FINANCIAL LIMBO BC OF TOWNE MORTGAGE AND THEIR INCOMPETENCE!!! If I could go lower in rating I would. When you login to pay the computer puts you out past the due date/past due of 16th. Paid on the 14th. Computer would not allow it to post till 18th. Marked me as "late" and charged a late fee and an unknown $40 fee. CFPB is going to get screen shots of all of this. They also claimed we were going to another company years ago, then sent a letter saying "no still the same". How many set up payment with the "new company and marked late. I have had my mortgage with Towne Mortgage for 2 years. My hazard insurance renews every year on April 1. This is the second year that I have received a letter from Towne Mortgage stating they have purchased insurance on my behalf. After FINALLY talking to an agent (most of the phone numbers listed on their website are for debt collectors) I was told they have not purchased insurance on my behalf - they did not purchase insurance last year, in short, they lied, again. read more

RUN!!! Don't switch Insurance companies when you get a better rate because they flat out refuse to pay it. Who knows what my escrow looks like because they refuse to tell me. Don't worry about paying on time, they pull it out late anyways if you are lucky, in our experience they don't pull it at all then when you try to pay it takes over 3 months to do so because they make you hold for 80 minutes until they close or it disconnects. Then they refuse to take the amount even if it is more than what Freddie Mac requires. The small potatoes are that they have zero communication skills, their website and online payments are absolute garbage and in all reality these guys seem like a scam company. How they are able to sleep at night is disgusting. This company is managed by the devil itself. Don't take my word tho, look at literally anyone else's review. read more

RUN AWAY!!!! My husband and I have been working with Towne for FOUR, almost five months trying to get a mortgage. We're buying a home and a few acres from someone we know so there are no realtors involved to hold up the process. We've jumped through every imaginable hoop and complied with every single request. We've had two different closing dates only to be told we need to do "one last thing". They are absolutely ridiculous. We purchased our beautiful home a few years ago. After an unexpected company-wide layoff while my wife was pregnant with our twins, we fell on hard financial times and fell behind on our payments. Not long after, Towne Mortgage purchased our mortgage from our original mortgagor with the knowledge that the mortgage was in default. We later decided to short sell our home to minimize the financial damages to us and the mortgage company. However, Towne Mortgage made the process far more drawn out, expensive (to us and them), and stressful than it ever needed to be. We, as well as our real estate agent and attorney, were dumbfounded by Towne's unnecessary and prolonged stalling and stonewalling. This nearly two year ordeal included: -multiple requests for repetitive, and often voluminous, information along with a recurring Columbo-esque "just one more thing" routine -an ongoing and inexplicable Keystone Cops routine by employees assigned to our file -months of time wasted figuring out that we were [obviously] in no financial position to rehab our mortgage -the loss of two buyers -multiple changes in the minimum sales price threshold -requiring our final buyer to agree to a $10K last minute increase (which, thank God, they agreed to) -an ongoing and unnecessary financial burden on our family And strangest of all, it appears that Towne could have broken even or possibly even made a profit but for the costs and property taxes accrued during its nonsensical delay tactics. Now, granted, we were unfortunately in default and Towne was apparently acting within it rights, but why the unreasonable and unnecessary delay, costs, and stress? I am a realtor and my client's are about to lose their home due to an underwriter that is over zealous. Gift was given and money was wired to Title company and transaction history was sent in to underwriting. No they are saying that is no good. Client got 14K out of 401k plus the remainder from his childs god father and bestfriend for 9 year said I will give you what needed because I want you to get your home. He send cashier check, gift letter, pictures of family, his bank statement , transaction history, pictures of family with both at wedding. That is not good enough. What is the issue? Rates have dropped and they sent me a letter reminding me of this and asking if I wanted to consider a refi. Do I?!? Heck yeah! Have I called three times with no response? Yup. San Diego Credit Union gave me the direct # of a loan officer via instant messenger and he answered right away. Quicken loans called me within 60 minutes of my email. Towne?!? I have had a loan with Towne since 2004. I would recommend a different lender. On a couple of occasions, the mortgage payment made it there past the due date. If that happens, they will call and pester you. They have no respect for your time. "Check is in the mail" is not a good enough answer for them. And you can count on them having no mercy. No matter what circumstances, if the check makes it there one hour late, they will hurt your credit. There is no reasoning with them. read more

Do yourself a favor and run screaming in the opposite direction from this company. Awhile after buying my house, Towne Mortgage took over servicing my loan. Sadly, they took over from another, fairly put-together company that I liked. Ever since the transfer, the lack of competence and professionalism I've been forced to deal with has been cartoonishly horrible. Month # 1. I received notice that my loan was being transferred. Okay. I went to their website to set up a profile so I could pay my mortgage online, like I always do. When I did, though, there didn't seem to be any record of my loan in their system, so I called their customer service number. They told me that it can sometimes take a week or two for a new customer's info to get plugged in, so check back in a week. Fair enough. I expressed concern that this would put me past the due date for my payment, but they assured me that they waive any late fees or penalties within the first month that a loan gets assigned to them. Well, fancy that! A week later, I got a notice from them in the mail, saying that I'm past due on my payment, and that if they don't receive payment by X date, they'll start foreclosing on my house. I called them again and was furious, but they told me to ignore the notice and just wait until their have all my info. They didn't have my customer info set up until the last week of the month. Month # 2. First of the month, go online to pay the mortgage and their website says I can's pay online. So I call them, again. The customer service rep told me that their website is going to be down FOR THE ENTIRE MONTH. (Sounds to me like someone needs to fire their IT person. A month? Are you serious?) He told me that usually I could pay over the phone, but they can't take phone payments at that time, either. Call back in a week, please. So, I call back a week later and their entire phone system is down. All calls are forwarded to an automated answering machine that sounds like it's from 1985. I begrudgingly leave a message, knowing full well that nobody will ever call me back. (Shocker: nobody ever called me back.) I called them every morning for several days and finally, FINALLY got someone on the phone. They directed me to a third party platform that they had set up in the meantime, for online payments. I pay. It takes 11 days for the payment to clear and I never receive a receipt for the payment. Month #3. Wake up, wake up, wake up, it's the first of the moooonth... I go online to pay my mortgage. By now, they've had a nice, leisurely 30 days to fix their online system (at their customers' expense.) I throw in my profile info and password and get an alert that they have no information on file for me. Long story short, I'm in the process of an early refinance JUST so that I no longer have to deal with these clowns. My only sympathy is with all their employees who will have to find new jobs when this company goes belly up. read more

Things most lenders just provide without needed to ask like an amortization schedule. $10. Really $10 for a simple math equation. I'm already excited for it to be sold to a new lender. This has been the worst experience I've ever had. Two payments were made just 3 days apart and I have sent the proof from my bank so I can get one payment back ( I am very well paid up). They keep arguing with me and refuse to refund my second payment although the statement shows both payments as the same (processed). I have offered to give them my banks phone number and they refuse to call them, LOL! What a damn joke. read more

They are very responsive and go out of their way to make me feel like I am an important client for them. Their underwriting is very efficient and they return phone calls promptly. Haha, I figured I'd see a low rating for this company when I decided to write a review. Even worse, all 1 star reviews...not even one 2 star rating lol. This company is a joke. Ever since my loan was sold to them, the problems have been countless. They basically don't have a functioning website. You have to use a specific browser to simply log into your account. I was very interested in refinancing last fall. Cliff notes version, 5 MONTHS go by and the refinance doesn't go through. The last reasoning as to why there was a hang up, a $60 credit card balance. Unreal. I could go on about how they deal with changing homeowners policies, as well as other issues, but it's not worth my time. Bottom line, if your loan is unfortunate enough to be sold to these clowns I would consider refinancing with another company immediately. I have started this process myself. read more

This company's lack of caring is RIDICULOUS! I have been trying to get an issue resolved since JUNE and STILL they are affecting my credit. After leaving voicemails with a woman named Alexandria 4 times, I FINALLY got her on the phone and when I told her about leaving the voicemails and how I was glad to speak with her she acted COMPLETELY clueless and careless to them and didn't even apologize. Below is an email I attempted to submit via their "contact us" on the web because calling doesn't get a response. When I filled out the form and hit submit I received a message stating a "database error occurred". This unfortunately doesn't surprise me as their communication is THE WORST EVER. Message attempting to be sent... I have attempted to contact Alexandria, to no avail, regarding a late fee that was supposed to be dropped because of a glitch in your ACH withdrawal setup. She does not return my phone calls and it has not been resolved. The last time I made contact with her was July and she said it would be reflected in my next statement. This is not the case as Sept and Oct statements both show the fee. I am requesting that this be taken care of IMMEDIATELY and an email confirm or post mail confirm be sent proving that it has. YOUR company's issue is affecting MY credit and that is not okay. I will be reporting this issue for further action. I CAN"T WAIT to refinance with another company....NEVER AGAIN! read more

I've been very happy with Towne mortgage. Almost everything is gone smoothly. I only have one issue that hasn't been resolved. I'm dyslexic with numbers. So because of that when I needed to change checking accounts for my automatic payment two months in a row I entered the wrong digits. I still need a month paid late followed through and made sure it was going to go through on time. They still charge me a $50 fee because I didn't enter in the right digits and it came back to them even though the new account number was entered correctly and they were paid and on time. I'm working real hard to make sure they are paid On Time and they did not give me a break! I couldn't help it! No they haven't pushed me to pay this fee a whole lot. BUT sometimes it shows up on my bill which I kept copies of, and sometimes it doesn't. They should just waive the fee. so sometimes I think I don't know it anyways because it's not even on my bill. Come on get over it, with consistency, please. Other than this silly sometimes addon fee, absolutely no problems. read more

I have had them for 1 year, doing a refi. They didn't pay my taxes, or insurance, when I went to refi. They did after I caught it, didn't have policy numbers, I had to have had all this to purchase my house. They don't know how to do anything, I don't recommend, had other mortgage company no problems. We've had our mortgage with Towne mortgage for two years now. Very few issues until last year when it was discovered by US that they failed to add our second parcel to our mortgage and therefore failed to pay the property taxes out of our escrow. As the result of their error, they're now saying that our payment is going up $200. I talked to a nice lady in the escrow department and she said well we can either let you spread this out over 24 months or you can pay half of our protected shortfall upfront and that would take it down some too. All for something that was THEIR error. Ridiculous and unacceptable business practices. read more

Be very careful with this mortgage company. I bought a home two years ago and had an 800+ credit score. I'm in the military and was overseas for two years with auto payments set up. The loan was sold to Towne Mortgage while I was gone and they didn't receive my payment for one month. I had auto payment on and one payment got lost. They just never cashed the check and I never got notification. Immediately upon recognition of the delinquency I made my payment. I asked multiple times through phone calls for them to review the 600+ dollar late fee on my account and also have sent them an email. I get no response and no action. My credit score fell to 690+ over the situation and I just need to work to improve it for however many years. They won't respond to me and won't look at the late fee. Trust me, I have very good credit and have owned multiple homes. Be careful! read more

Well let me just tell you I have NOT had issues with this company Towne Mortgage until the storm Harvey. I NEVER called them they called me talking about the CEO or whomever was giving affected clients $500 to use or to pay towards their mortgage. I was so thankful because i was rescued from my home by boat and still in hotel and that would really help me so i took it and was Thankful. Then the customer service agent stated that they would defer payments with me picking my payment back up November 1st and them allowing me the opportunity to repay those two months back monthly or if i had a hardship with that set up some type of repay assistance with their collections team. LOW and behold i get a freaking ACCELERATION letter that i was in default and received information where they want my information to assist me from going into foreclosure. I feel like I'm going through another devastating storm so i have just paid to get the 2 months THEY are stating i was late in payments to keep from loosing a house i cant even stay in, now I would have did what i needed to pay those months but when you defer something tack it to the back especially when it is a storm that no one has control of. Every person that has been affected and there are MANY have told me that their mortgage company tacked it to the end of their mortgage but not this company. As soon as i can breathe and get my home to where i can live again i will definitely refinance my loan with another company as these people have no compassion for their clients and are all about the mighty dollar! OK, so they called me on Nov 9, 2016 about refinancing my loan. Mind you, I was minding my own business and didn't have a desire to do so until they called. I was promised we'd close before December and here we are almost a full week into Jan. 2017 and we still haven't closed. Trying to get info or even a callback from anyone at the company has become a chore in itself. I'm really pissed because it's not like I called them about refinancing, they called me. Now they acting like I'm bothering them. I need to know one way or the other so I can move on with my life. I mean, it's just a home loan we're dealing with - not like this is anything major! My patience with this company is past shot. ------ Update 10/17/17 - well, the refinance didn't go through and I'm just looking back over this to see where (obviously) a social media PR rep had the audacity to respond that they don't do loans in my area and that I got them mixed up with another company with the same name. HOW ABSURD! First off, I think I should know what company I pay mortgage to and who I've been dealing with back and forth regarding this refinance deal. I am a current customer of Towne Mortgage and find that their customer loan and services department is pathetic, dishonest, and untrustworthy. I had recently refinanced my mortgage with them and went through the typical document blitz and credit verification etc. After the dust settled my credit rating was still in very good shape and things seemed fine. Around 45 days after the loan was complete I found that my credit was checked again, a hard pull, by a mysterious bank I've never heard of. This caused my credit to sink approximately 30 points; from good to fair. I suspected first off that it was a mistake so I contacted the credit bureau to see if they would shed any light on it. They told me to contact the bank directly and I did. They told me that they did business with Towne Mortgage but little else regarding the hard pull. I contacted Towne Mortgage and was told by them that they didn't pull my credit at all. Then after digging and bugging them, since I knew they were incorrect, they admitted they had done a "soft pull' because of a quality control random check and that I had been selected for somehow. The agencies informed me that a "hard pull" had been conducted but Towne didn't see to know or admit that they had done so. After more bugging and work I got them to finally admit that they had conducted a "hard pull" but they claimed that that wasn't why my credit went down. I ordered and paid for a hard copy of my credit report and was told by the agency that most likely my credit fell due to this unscheduled credit pull since there was no other activity anywhere on my report. I was referred to Townes' legal department that told me they were going to work with the credit bureaus to undo the credit check but nothing has changed yet. It can't be undone unfortunately and I wondered why they didn't know that. And why their legal department was involved stinks of culpability.. I don't appreciate the dishonesty, indifference, and the incompetence that the staff has exhibited toward my concerns. And in a world where a credit rating can make or break you they are not the lender that has your back. read more

This company's lack of customer service & caring is absolutely ludicrous. I have been trying to get an issue resolved since July 20, 2016, an issue I was told was due to a computer glitch. It's affected my credit in such a negative way that I've been denied a car loan, received increased insurance & interest rates along with my credit score dropping 80+ points across the board! I was told in August this was all corrected & now there's TWO mortgages being reported. I've sent 3 emails since September 6, 2016, none of which I've received a response. I can't believe they can simply ruin one's credit & get away with it & most importantly not care. Stay away. Their online system is antiquated and not working right now at all. I called and had a very rude person on the "customer service" line. She then warned me that if I gave her the wrong information my payment wouldn't go through and I'd be charged a late payment fee. If you are looking for a mortgage company, look elsewhere. Unfortunately our mortgage was transferred to this company. I have already begun researching how to get my mortgage transferred to another entity. Absolute terrible customer service and feeble ability. In my attempt to obtain a loan, there were difficulties that should have been resolved or at least started on days/weeks prior to the issue arising. When trying to get clarity on certain requirements or fine print, my questions were simply ignored. When my closing date kept getting pushed off and I voiced my concern, I was audibly laughed at. I purchased my first house and so far this is a bad experience. My mortgage was sold to Towne almost right after closing. This mortgage company does not return any calls and I sit on hold for 10+ mins before I hang up. I own a small business and don't have time to baby sit a company that is making money off me. They are not paying my taxes. I keep getting notice of past due tax payment and fees. Looks like I will be doing an early payoff or refinance. I mailed a payment over 2 weeks ago and it has not bin cashed. read more

My husband and I contacted them early last year to get a pre approval. We were in the process of looking for houses and found quite a few we wanted to put offers on. All we initially wanted was a pre approval but they insisted we give them every document needed to start a loan. There was such a lack of communication and every time I tried to get a pre approval I was constantly told they needed something else and it would be a little longer. We even drove out to their office in Troy to personally give them all of our information. Weeks after that meeting we still had no pre approval and the girl we were working with would never give us a straight answer. We ended up missing out on 4 houses we wanted to make offers on. Eventually the girl just stopped responding to us. We went with another company and then months after the fact, Towne sent us a letter saying we were denied a loan. Umm what? All we ever wanted was a pre approval letter, and between their lack of communication and horrible customer service and the fact that they ran our credit reports so many times that our scores got lowered makes me want to give them 0 stars. read more

I am sorry to have to write a negative review. Though I have no choice. In the beginning Mr. Doherty was pursuing me, telling me all the things he thought I wanted to hear. I even told him no to tell me what he thought I wanted to hear, but the truth. Now I feel very but aside and can't even get a hold of him most of the time. He even told me, the other day oh no, we'll get this re-finance though. Still no real response or closer. At this point, I feel he is just messing with me. I do not consider this good business. Don't tell people one thing and mean another. This man is a salesman and will tell you anything to get a sale. Then he'll walk away and leave you hanging. My husband and I are veterans just looking to re-finance to make our lives easier. We have been in the same home we are trying to re-finance for 46 years! We are not likely to not pay our bill. read more

My agent Mr. M. Benedict had lead me to believe that refinancing my loan to a lower interest rate was the way to go, it was so good i decided to do a15 year term instead of 30. It seems the two months working with him there was always a new issues that he claims he knew nothing about, first, you need an appraisal because you have change the term of the loan, second your appraisal didn't come in high enough now you have to pay the difference, oh and that quot i gave you was incorrect you now have to meet a certain percentage and make up that differences between the balance owned and appraisal and it can't be rolled up into the new mortgage. Heres the kicker, he was so sure that the loan would go through with no problems and I believed him, he told me not to pay Mays mortgage to my old mortgage company, days went by didn't hear a word from him, now its getting close to the end of the month and I need to pay them before I get a thirty day late on my credit report, finally i hear from him and he said there was a delay in the paper work go ahead and pay them and I'll pay you for the late charge ($52.00). Same crap happen again for June, another ($52.00) late charge, I text and emailed him and haven't heard back and don't think i ever will, he doesn't have the common decency to own up for what he promised and I'm out of $104.00. Towne Mortgage has some flaky people working for them, I will never ever do business with Towne Mortgage again. In summary, to get the correct answers you need to correspond directly with the underwriters not to these flaky agents that BS you. read more

It's a miracle if you are able to log into their website and make a mortgage payment on your first attempt with no issue. Website rarely works, many times payment is returned for no reason, late payment/returned payment fees show up. Sometimes you will get the payment conformation email with a transaction conformation number in it and they will still seem to have an issue with the payment or claim to have not revived it and GOOD LUCK getting ahold of anyone. Tax documents arrived incorrect and I waited a month before I had to call to get my correct documents. This was after many attempts to get ahold of someone. read more

I decided to Consolidate with them against My better Judgement because THEY ALLOW YOU TO MAKE PAYMENTS WITH A CREDIT CARD this WAS THE BASES FOR US TO CONSOLIDATE WITH THEM AND CONTINUE WITHOUT SALE OF OUR MORTGAGE TO ANOTHER COMPANY HOWEVER THEY DECIDED TO SELL OUR LOAN TO (CENLAR) DURING THIS PROCESS we worked with John Strieter who woulod not even come out from behind his desk when the Computers were down to talk to us when he decided to sell our loan and claim that it was an accident sorry JOHNNY NOT HAPPENING, ThenI then got a call from his supervisor who has also lied to us some guy by the name of sursack or whatever his name is, he lied as well, I talked to the new mortgage co and they said he lied they have not received 1 single call from them concerning my mortgage FIRST they are trying to cover their tracks on taking payments by credit card second I have notbhing but time on my side and I will be Boycotting these POS starting tomorrow so see you there also if you have been screwed by them or towne feel free to email me at themaximus71002@yahoo.com I WILLNOT QUIT I WILL NOTGO AWAY I WILL OPEN A WEBSITE DEDICATED TO YOU AND THIS CAUSE (NO ONE MESSES WITH MY FAMILY EVER)!!! read more
