You can start by training your staff correctly. My loan officer didn't do his job. Jason Wagner aka Hall was made aware of my mistreatment of my refi. Nobody followed through with theblances. My creditors are being sent the wrong amount bc they didn't do their job to go over numbers. My advice. Stay away from Hall Financial. The BBB complaint is next. read more

I had a horrible experience. I worked with Hall Financial for five weeks and they asked for document after document and several proofs of our income. My wife was on workman's comp but her supervisor submitted a letter that she would be welcome back to work when she was released to go back. After all we did, they cut down their offer at the end to half the cash back we had been promised. And an underwriter on the phone kept cutting me off and wouldn't let me talk. Five weeks wasted! Don't go with these guys or you will be disappointed in the end. read more

Called looking for a mortgage. Gave some info over the phone and was promised a return phone call the next day. No one called. So I called back and left a message. Still, no one called. Weeks later, someone called to ask me how things were going. Sorry, but I took my business to a company that actually wanted it. A few weeks after that someone else called me to see how things were going. In the middle of telling them my complaints she put me on speaker phone. I will never use this disreputable company ever again. First time I used them they were great, then a HELOC and completely messed up the entire process. Delivered wrong contract terms, terms I never asked for. I will be reporting this to the State Attorney General Office for review for ethics and misleading and false advertising. Bunch of greedy and dishonest sales people, quick to call you back but don't expect them to follow their estimates,

I worked with a mortgage specialist there and got through the entire process of submitting documents along with paying for an appraisal. My home value, according to homes sold in my area as well as home valuation sites show that my home had significant appreciation since I purchased it. So, once the appraisal came back, it reflected a near 20% value decrease. When I questioned the results, I was told they stood behind the appraisal value. We are a black family in a mixed community and the value my home was given was $20/sqft lower than the least expensive home in my area. This same situation happened to me before and when I explained it to Hall, they said there was nothing they could do. So I went to another mortgage company, got a new appraisal and the value went up more than $20/sqft... less than a month apart. I sent a copy of my new appraisal to the manager at Hall Financial and tried to imply the new company may have misrepresented my home. Rather than admitting there may have been racism involved, he would rather believe other companies are lying. Terrible organization that stands behind bigots... I have the emails to prove it. Absolutely ATROCIOUS. If I could leave less than 1 star I would. From the beginning talks with Dustin Walker and the many misleading statements and lies, to the support specialist Tiara Keahey whose communication is terrible, I WOULD NEVER EVER USE HALL FINANCIAL AGAIN. The funniest part, every time Hall Financial screwed up, they blamed it on someone else. "Oh, it is the underwriters. They want more info", "Oh that is the title company, and they will have to change the paperwork". All a bunch of crap. All lies. When I have asked to speak to these people's supervisors I received a call from Jim Bentley. Jim tried to cover the lies and misleading statements. Even pretending to be upset himself this was going so poorly, LOL. When I asked Jim for some higher up execs at Hall so I could share my experience, Jim blew me off, would not provide any info. The people at Hall were friendly and our refinance was quick and relatively hassle-free. HOWEVER, the initial estimate we were given--the numbers that led us to choose Hall, were not close to the numbers we ended up with. We were told we would save $180 a month and get $2000 at closing. Instead, we saved $50 a month and got $200 at closing. If these amounts had been accurately stated, we would have refinanced with our previous lender and saved thousands in closing costs.
