So Rite-aid closes up and now Walgreens takes advantage? I put in an order for doctor prescriptions on Friday, had somebody get it on Monday. They were given 2 out of 3, and never bothered to mention they didn't have the third. We didn't notice it until it was time to take them before a surgical procedure and the one we needed was missing. The doctor had to give the medicine intravenously. CVS is not that outta the way. I have also heard good things about Walmart Pharmacy. Edit. Had to add the prior experience where I needed to purchase an over the counter medication I hadn't heard of before. I asked the pharmacy for help on it and they first said where is my prescription, and then said, we don't help with over the counter. Rite-aid used to be so helpful. read more

Constantly the worst chain store I know. Takes each customer 10 minutes to check out on average weather they have 1 item or 10. Low on sale stock if not out of sale items. 3rd and last time I walked out because they couldn't get the customer ahead of me checked out in under 10 minutes. Photo department is utter trash. This pharmacy is the absolute worst. There is always a line, constantly a wait on the phone, and every time a prescription is requested it is followed by "Sorry, we're running behind schedule. We'll keep you updated." And that's if the prescription is even processed upon request... If insurance doesn't cover your prescription they typically won't fill it but they won't notify you that it's not covered, so you have to call and ask what's going on, then they will tell you and if you still want it filled you'll have to go ahead and ask them to do so at that point. Same situation with if a prescription is requested too early - once it is a valid date for refill, even if prescription was already requested, you'll have to call and remind them to refill it. It's at the point I will be moving my prescriptions over to another pharmacy, even if it's further away. Not sure how many negative reviews it will take for them to make improvement given many have already been posted and nothing has changed!! read more

Impossible to get someone live on the phone, prepare to wait 30 minutes +, constantly being put back on hold. I think they run the clock to make sure you hang up and don't bother them. They also LOVE to just cancel your prescription for any insurance hiccup without notifying you first - so there is no chance to fix it. Had a dose of the shingrix vaccine and reserved it, knew exactly how to process the claim thru our health insurance, and administered the shot just fine so I'm a fan. Many thanks to pharmacist Dr Patel at this Morristown Walgreens who was a big help. Really great hours too, open much later than I expected. I've used the photo printing service here many times, just upload the file and start driving, always done by the time I've arrived. Usually super cheap too. Of course this is also a convenience store with milk eggs soda candy cards paper goods condoms cosmetics vitamins diapers cold meds etc etc. read more

Wow. I rarely leave reviews and don't know that I've ever left a negative one at that. Just got off the phone with such a pompous male pharmacy employee. I tried to pick up a prescription last week, they said they never received it. I call my doctor's office, they send back a confirmation of receipt from the Pharmacy so I call in. The man that answered says yes, it's on hold because insurance doesn't cover it, (they failed to tell me that when I was there in person last week), then says they don't cover it because it's over the counter. I have a prescription strength version of a another vitamin and ask for clarification, saying I get one thats prescription strength but this one doesn't have that? He laughs amd says no, theres no such thing, I went to school for 6 years, I'm a pharmaceuticals expert, doctors are not, they're good at what they do but not this.... Um, I'm sorry what? No one asked how long you went to school, doctors go to school even longer and do study pharmacology because they have to know what to prescribe, if it was OTC just say that. Don't be a condescending jerk. A simple, "there is no prescription strength and your dr can verify that, sorry they didnt tell you when you were here, we have several OTC options here etc." would'be sufficed. Insufferable, and maybe slightly insecure too. Apparently they didn't cover talking to customers/patients during your 6 years of school. read more

I am loyal to Walgreens because of my Midwest roots but more because a pharmacist once lent me money for insulin when my card would not work. That said, they are crowded--have taken on too many functions, difficult to reach, bombard you with emails and texts. A single visit can be a degree of hell. That said, you CAN find very competent pharmacists and technicians. You stick with that store. It's taken me 3 years to train them at my store--I am a heavy consumer. I will continue to use the Ledgewood store even though I have moved 20 miles away. Parsippany is horrifying. Wharton is iffy. read more

Avoid this pharmacy like the plague. I waited 50 minutes for a prescription for tooth paste only to be told by Fiorella that they didn't have the tooth paste. Fiorella, the girl who looks like a deer caught in headlights, must be the most useless pharmacy worker in the entire state of New Jersey. I think I repeated my information 3 times per question. As someone who works in the city and goes in and out of drugstores on a weekly basis, I have to say this Walgreens is one of the most organized and professional ones out there. Granted, it's not as chaotic and touristy as the ones I see in Manhattan, but it's refreshing to step in to clean aisles and up-to-date tags on all their items. No complaints with the pharmacy either. I refill my prescriptions online every month and they send over an email me as soon as it's ready for pickup. There's usually no wait at the window and the staff is very friendly and helpful every visit. read more

This pharmacy is very busy, staff is more busy chit chatting. My prescriptions just got transferred from local Acme to this Wallgreens. Every time I pick up my prescriptions they have something missing. Wait time is 20 mntS to half hour. I will not recommend this pharmacy at all. It's very bad. read more

I work in customer service, so I never do this, but I was so taken aback by the lack of urgency and customer service at this Walgreens, that I felt it necessary to warn others. After waiting in line for about 15mins, I was told that my child's prescription was not ready and I needed to wait 10mins on the side, which was absolutely fine. But after 50 mins of waiting, and watching the lines get longer and people getting more and more agitated and complaining, I decided to ask the rep how much longer I would have to wait. She informed me that the pharmacist was just getting to it. When I finally got the medication, it seemed she couldn't work the pin pad, couldn't understand the system and was so confused when filling the information in for my child who is a minor. On top of all of this, they started searching for another prescription and after 5mins she realised it wasn't even for me and I was waiting on a different prescription that didn't even belong to me. I understand staffing issues and mistakes, but at this point, it felt like incompetency. Apparently I wasn't the only one that felt this way, as within the hour it seemed as if they were continuously getting complaints. They are clearly understaffed and overwhelmed and with Riteaid closing, I can only assume it's going to get worse read more

On January 28th 2019 I attempted to pick up my Epilepsy Medication. I was told by the pharmacist that they could only give me a weekend dosage due to lack of inventory. Said PHARMACIST failed to mention that the PHARMACY would be closing early (5 vs. 8PM). To avoid having a seizure I had to check into a local Emergency Room. I went back to the following day in hopes to pickup my medication... only to find that the pharmacy was CLOSED for the holiday!!! read more

The absolute worst pharmacy I have ever been to. Have had several issues with them filling my prescription properly. They always have to special order my prescription and after waiting several days for it to come in, they gave me the incorrect meds. No apology, and no responsibility taken. They basically blamed me for their mistakes. Again today I called to make sure my meds were ready as they had promised over the last several days (I called everyday to check on the progress). They told me that they found out yesterday that my meds were not available and will not be ready until tomorrow. Wish they would have told me that yesterday when I called. Well now I am SOL. The best! I lived in morristown for 4 years and felt the staff especially the pharmacy staff here was like family. They are amazing to all of their customers. After I moved to Bedminster I would naturally switch to a closer pharmacy only to realize the horror. I immediately switched back and do not mind stopping here on my way home from work. After moving in the neighborhood for a few years, I started to like this Walgreen. By knowing the people working here, I became for appreciative for their kindness. They will stay until 12 midnight for the last customers. The pharmacist also provides nice consultant work for your minor health issue and you can get the right stuff quickly.
