We got transferred to Towne Square Dental because our previous dentist is only seeing pediatrics and my gorgeous daughter is 15 years old now. It was easy to make an appointment. We arrived at a good time filled the require paperwork for a new patient. The ladies up front where nice and greeted us with a smile. We didn't have to wait to long to be taken to the back. My kid got her xrays and a Dental cleaning. The rooms where too small and so close to eachother the if you are claustrophobia you won't like it. My husband and I are new to the Boise area and were looking for a new dentist that had weekend and late afternoon appointments. After searching the internet we found Dr Glaus at Town Square Dental. Scheduling was simple and the online registration form made it super convenient. Upon arrival we were greeted by two lovely ladies. The reception area was clean and inviting. I had the privilege to meet a wonderful dental assistant Mohamed who took my X-rays. Usually the X-rays poke my mouth but I was pleasantly surprised that it didn't hurt. Then I got to meet the Doctor. He took time to ask me about my dental concerns and his presence was very calming as I am normally very anxious visiting the dentist. Then I had my teeth cleaned. Overall my husband and I are very happy with our visit. I have now scheduled my son and recommend both my parents to this office. read more

First off let me start by saying I hate going to the dentist because I feel like dentist judge you for not having perfect teeth, so I've tried multiple dentist in Boise meridian etc. and this one is by far the best I have found in my opinion. Both my wife and I have used them. There great and no judgement at all, everyone was nice and understanding with our budget, and even tried and helped us where they could. They took the time to make up a dental plan for us and prioritized which was most important very well. We were very comfortable in the office and during the procedures. If I could give a zero star I would. The clerk at the front counter is rude to all customers we saw come in. She's belittling and nasty. One asked to speak to the office manager and she refused. When we received an email to verify an upcoming wisdom tooth extraction it incorrectly said cleaning and exam. The clerk told me that I should know better and that the paper can't be changed and we should just know where to go because it's NOT written on the paperwork. Hands down, this is the best dentist I've ever visited. I've never enjoyed seeing the dentist, ever. I've actually avoided going ever since I made it out into the world on my own. It was never an issue until a couple days ago, when I had a wisdom tooth decide that wisdom came with the inability to eat solid food and excruciating pain. Of course, I did not have dental insurance. After calling several dental offices, and not hearing back from a few, google reviews lead me to Towne Square Dental. Here's the step-by-step.... The Initial Call: Aubrey, the receptionist, was very polite and did not give me any attitude whatsoever when I asked for some estimates as well as availability. A few other offices had given me an exasperated "We can't tell you until we see you". I was sincerely appreciative of this. Aubrey even informed me that the dentists could both evaluate my condition and likely extract the tooth on the same day. The Check-In: Quick and seamless. I told them my name, they gave me some forms to fill out and that, as they say, was that. After maybe ~5 minutes I was brought back. The X-Ray and Consultation: Again, wonderful. Han, I believe her name was, was very friendly and talked me through the process. She had a very gentle touch when putting the piece you need to bite down on for the X-Ray. Dr. Jordan Pilling soon came in and explained to me what I was looking at, with respect to the extraction. He insisted on a secondary, admittedly more pricey, X-Ray because he found the first one was not quite showing the end root of the tooth in question. After the second X-Ray was done, he explained more risks associated with the procedure and explained the nerve in my jaw that could potentially be affected by the extraction. In a display of true integrity and character, the good Dr. said I would not be charged for the second X-Ray as it was "Just for him" and did not give any more insight than the previous X-Ray. After signing a few waivers, I was told to lay back as the anesthetics were administered. The Extraction: There was a lot of pressure, maybe about 10 minutes or so of just "feeling" a push in my mouth. Dr. Pilling applied enough anesthetic that I felt 0 pain and out came the bloodied stump that had been making me miserable. I was given a small packet explaining proper care, as well as time to ask any questions I needed. They asked me what my preferred pharmacy was and then I was off to settle my tab, the scariest part of any dental visit. The Tab: $270 for the total affair. Dr. Pilling did not charge for the secondary X-Ray, which he ultimately deemed ineffective and after a quick signing of my debit slip I was off to get my pain meds and begin the healing process. Seriously the BEST BEST BEST dental office I've been too. I broke my tooth and I'm 26 and work in the service industry. They got me in right away- fixed my tooth in 30 minutes and I was SO nice. They stayed an hour after closing to fix my teeth. Didn't act annoyed at all and didn't even say anything about staying late. The receptionist is amazing and the doc that gave me the numbing shots was gentle and seriously hardly hurt. The dentist was a Saint. I'm 26 and I have health insurance but dental and vision are different and I'm just so thankful to find these people. The prices were great too. SAME DAY apt after 2 hours of calling with a dental emergency. Unheard of. Recommend to everyone anywhere read more

I have very severe anxiety when visiting the dentist. I recently had to get some fillings done and I am new to Boise, and chose Boise Towne Square because it was close to my home. They were by far the friendliest and most patient people I have met. They walked me through every step of my procedure, and never acted like I was being dramatic or annoying. They made me feel comfortable, and did a phenomenal job, took their time, and really made sure they were doing it correctly. Would recommend to anyone. read more

Good Dentist, but very bad charging!! They never honor their own quotes! They will give you a price before you have the work done and then charge you more after it's done! They have done this for 4 family members, and for that reason None of my family will ever go back! Dr. Pilling has done a lot of work on my mouth and if he ever felt exasperated by my nervousness he's never let on. I've been a patient of Dr Olsen's for a couple of years. Yesterday I would have rated his office at 5 stars. A year ago my wife needed a tooth pulled at the time of discussion on whether or not she wanted to go a certain route with treatment she was told our insurance would cover the whole thing. Months later we were told the insurance didn't cover 300.00 of that treatment. We tried to get information about it but were stone walled every time I called. Finally I talked to a staff member who said that employees were let go as it came to the Doctor's attention that patients were given wrong information. We still felt that we shouldn't be charged for a treatment when we were told it would be covered by the insurance. A couple of months later we were both in for a check up. My wife talked to the Dentist about her concerns over a balance she felt we shouldn't have to pay. That is where the discussion ended. Then today I received a letter stating I needed to find another dentist and were no longer welcome at Dr Olsen office. My wife received the same letter. The reason stated was I had missed to many appointments. I called up Dr Olsen's office as I was sure there was some misunderstanding. I was told by a staff member that we my wife and I had missed three appointments in the last year. That by missing these appointments we cause other problems for other patients. I was floored. Three appointments missed in one year and now we have to find another dentist? I am still not convinced we missed this many appointments. Even if its true why didn't Dr Olsen's office send us a warning letter that to many appointments were missed? When I pressed the staff member she mentioned that my wife and I were very upset over an outstanding balance. I said this is true and my wife discussed this with the Doctor at her last appointment. I mention to the hygienist that my wife was upset but I didn't discuss it with the Doctor. The staff member said that Doctor Olsen had written off our outstanding balance because of the mistakes of the past staff members. Neither I nor my wife were informed about this information. Neither of us have received a letter stating the balance was cleared. The staff member then pushed the fact that were were being asked to leave the clinic do to our missed appointments. I feel we were ask to find another Dentist because we pissed off Dr Olsen and possibly embarrassed him. This was no yelling match it was a polite conversation but this clinic is set up like most dental clinics with partitions. Due to the fact Doc Olsen asked my wife if she was upset while she was in the dental chair the conversation could have easily been overheard by other patients. I'm delighted that our balance has been cleared but I'm saddened as we both appreciated the excellent care we received at Dr Olsen's clinic. This last situation shows us that Dr Olsen ego is more important to him then his patients. That he would rather get rid of good patients with excellent insurance then work things out with his patients. My main warning is: If you question Doc Olsen about your balance and piss him off be prepared to find a new dentist. read more

I took my son here and it was a terrible experience. This office is extremely unprofessional. They destroyed my son's teeth. They packed him full of fillings that were completely unnecessary. I do not recommend this office to anyone. Spare your children the pain and heartache of having such botched dental work. The staff were discussing how much they had drank the night before, and the music that was playing in the waiting room was laced with profanity. The previous doctors at this office are no longer there. There is now only Doctor Olson. There is something really wrong at this office. I went here because of good reviews and then realized that the dentist had changed. When we entered the office, there was a patient asking why she had to pay again. At first I thought the patient was misunderstanding and gave the office the benefit of the doubt; until our experience. We have Medicaid because obviously we do not have a lot of money. My daughter needs her wisdom teeth removed and I had called Medicaid before the appointment to make sure this was covered, which it is. Although the dentist seemed nice enough when he examined at my daughter, I do not know if he does a good job, because she did not receive any treatment that day. Immediately, when the staff told me about the costs, they told me that anesthesia is not covered with Medicaid and I would have to pay almost $400 or I could have my daughter get lesser anesthesia for $50 if I preferred. When I spoke to Medicaid, they said that they would cover anesthesia. About a week later, the office called & said Medicaid denied the claim. I asked the office staff if they had filed the claim properly & they insisted they had. I called Medicaid and they said the dental office had not coded the services properly and consequently Medicaid denied the claim. I really feel like this office is trying to overcharge and scam people. I went to another office and everything is going to be covered. If I could give this office less than 1 star I would.
