Great stay at this hotel. The room was comfortable, spacious bathroom and the kitchen had everything you could need. The complimentary breakfast was ok, nothing worth noting. See video for options. The quality could've been better but it's free. The waffle maker was fun and actually good. Comes out crispy and light. Parking plentiful. The GYM was great, it was clean and everything was working. It had mats, 2 benches, free weights and a few treadmills. Overall great place to stay when in Tehachapi. Close to everything but then the town is small so everything's close! read more

I give this location five stars. We stayed for two nights. The staff was friendly and attentive. The room was clean. The breakfast was enough to hold me over until my next meal. The workout room was clean and the equipment was in fine condition. The fire pit was great. The only feedback for management is to get new cushions and to make sure the 10:00 curfew is observed for other guests who need to sleep. The car charging stations were amble but were a little slow (but a speedy charger is up the road at the gas station). read more

Really happy with our stay here. Check in was a breeze. The little marketplace has frozen organic Amy's! I have food allergies but this is one of the few frozen foods I can eat! Great selection of other items too. Room was spacious and clean and I loved the kitchen. Very nice to be able to make a meal when you are too tired to go to a restaurant. Breakfast offerings were excellent. Eggs, sausage, oatmeal, super toppings (almonds, walnuts, pepitas, dried fruit), breads, pastry, yogurt, and more. Nice and clean, but the customer service was horrible. Front Desk was a young lady and she was on her cell phone and seemed bothered when I asked a question about the breakfast selection. Breakfast was set to end at 9:30. I came down around 8:15. There wasn't any waffle mix left. I politely asked if there was going to be more made. Front desk told me that breakfast told me that no more would be made because they stop serving at 9. It was a Sunday 4/27/2025 and a sign said breakfast ended at 9:30. She went to the back kitchen area and then another lady comes out and says " Its going to take me 15/20 mins to make it" might not be done in time . I replied back " breakfast is for another hour, why wouldn't it be done in time if you said 15/20 mins? I said that's fine I don't mind waiting. Then she says's "It might have lumps in it though cause it takes a while to stir" I asked her why would it have lumps in it ? Mind you I'm a black woman traveling with my black son, so now I'm feeling like she was going to purposely keep lumps in it. A guest from hotel walks ups up to me and says " Thank you for saying something about the waffle mix, because breakfast ends at 9:30 and I too wanted waffles". A polite lady who worked there and had a jean coat on, assured me that waffle mix was being made and would be out soon. 15 mins go by and lady comes out with mix. We made are waffles and went back to our room. I planned on staying one more night, but decided to leave and go next door to Holiday Inn, which I had a better experience. Stayed here for work for a little over 2 weeks, didn't really have many issues beside the fact they took over a week to clean my room or give me towels even after I requested it. And to top it all off, I had found the biggest spider I had ever seen. It really ruined the rest of my stay while I was there, even though I got to switch rooms. I was not able to be comfortable in the room anymore knowing these could be around. Not sure if I would consider staying here again after this occurrence. read more

The lack of reviews and pictures on Yelp had me feeling very skeptical, but I took the risk and I'm glad I did. Front desk staff (day and night shifts) were super friendly, and the staff that worked at the continental breakfast was sweet and friendly as well. I checked in at 9 PM without complications. The rooms are literally suites, very mini studio apartments with a fridge, two burner stove, all the cooking utensils and ware you would need for an extended stay (I only stayed one night, it was $151 w/ AAA). The closet lights up when you open it which it great for pairs where one likes to sleep in and the other wakes early! No need to use your phone's flashlight to find stuff from your bags! Also there are storage shelves in the closet. The bathroom is roomy, the shower head is very high for tall folks and water temp was perfect. The pillows and bed were so cozy, comfy, and perfect. The room was very clean, the hotel itself was very clean. The 24/7 gym is an awesome perk, it's just the basics: cardio machines, free weights, kettlebells, some balance options, and one step-up stool. Literally the best continental breakfast ever: Looked like a mini dennys - self serve version anyways. Plenty of breakfast options: oatmeal with all the toppings, dry cereal, bananas, milk, oj, Apple juice, coffee, Belgian waffles, turkey sausage, scrambled eggs, hard boiled eggs, bagels and breads, etc. I unfortunately did not have enough time in my stay to visit or enjoy the pool, but I was informed that it was open from 9 AM to 9 PM. I also did not get to enjoy any of their hotel restaurant foods, there is a seasonal menu posted in the elevators, and then there is, I believe, a standard menu that is in each room. We stayed in room 305, which is a king room. This room faces the front parking lot and is on the third floor to the upper right of the entrance when looking out the window. My only minor complaints are that the bathroom door swings all the way open and covers the tv (so the door has to stay closed) and you can hear people in the neighboring room coughing or playing music (not talking though). But I truly enjoyed my stay either way, thank you! read more

The room I got was clean and spacious. I like how the rooms come with a small kitchen. Breakfast downstairs was great. Enjoyed my stay here. The location is a great midway point from Northern CA to the desert. The room was exceptionally clean and the decor was modern. The room was very well appointed, with a lot of conveniences for the working traveler. The bed was very comfortable and I had a good nights rest. My 91 year old grandma, including her 90 year old husband and my mother, home flooded and they were put out of their home for a month. My grandma is legally blind. They went to this hotel and has had the best experience. I highly recommend this place. Faith checked them in and gave them the best service. My grandma took a bad fall yesterday and Justin working the front desk ran to her picked her up put her in the wheelchair and helped her in the car to go to the hospital then when they arrived back to the hotel once being released from the hospital he take back to the car helped her on the wheelchair and into her room. Front desk has been bringing her breakfast every morning. Thank you for being so kind caring helping and generous to my family. read more

If I could give 0 stars I would. My whole family stayed at this hotel so that we could attend our grandfathers funeral, we drove 5 hours and were greeted by the most awful rude lady named Teresa who was the manager, she gave our accommodations away and told us that she couldn't accommodate us any longer and there's nothing she can do and argued with us for 30 minutes and was so rude and was not willing to work with us at all, she jokingly said we could stay in a room under construction and laughed in our faces, she finally decided she does have one more room on the first floor which was what we originally booked to accommodate a family member who needed to be on the first floor which we called many times ahead to make sure that we were able to have that. I'm just shocked someone like her would be a manager... when we finally paid and got checked in we went up to bed and we were awoken at 1 in the morning by Alexis who does the audits called our room and said Teresa left her a note that said we didn't pay... she said if we don't come down and pay she will kick us all out of our rooms. This was 1 am and we had to be at our grandfathers funeral at 8 in the morning, we were having a rough enough time with a huge loss in our family so to be treated so awful by strangers who are supposed to accommodate you and make sure your stay is stress-free is not right. We were charged 12 times and they said it wasn't them, we eventually got refunded when we check out but they really messed with us out of spite. These girls should not be working in hospitality, coming from someone who does work in hospitality.. the rooms were dirty as well, there was garbage under the bed and crumbs all over the floor, the bedding had stains on it. read more

I put in a lot of time choosing the right hotel to stay at alone with my kids. We stayed here this weekend when the high was in the 90s so an outdoor pool was a must. There were photos advertised, when we got there the grill area and pool area were not like the pictures. It is an indoor pool, not outdoor like it showed and it was closed for repairs. I had other cheaper options but chose Towneplace suits because the rooms looked nice and it had an outdoor pool. After driving for 4 hours with 5 kids getting on the phone and getting my reservation cancelled through the third party app that I booked was a hassle, so we stayed with seriously disappointed kids. The room was nice and the breakfast was nice. My issues are with the horrendously awful customer service and false advertisement. When I walked in the workers were arguing with a customer on the phone and laughing as the customer called back and they kept hanging it up. Idk what that was about but it was extremely uncomfortable/unprofessional to witness. There was no apology about the pool, no alternative suggestions offered. When I went back to compare the amenities I saw offered online they were like I thought when booking, I should have taken screen shots because they must have had a lot of other angry customers because the pictures are now off their websites. I feel duped and no one cared at all or was sympathetic at all. My sister also booked a room here and was charged a pet fee after check out, not told about it at check in, and was hung up on. I have no doubt this is what happened after witnessing it during check in! Tehachapi is a small town and there are not a ton of clean/safe feeling hotels so i was excited to find this place, if you are looking for just a room it's fine, but you won't find a drop of customer service if anything is wrong! I wish I would have spent my money at one of the other options. read more
