I did a 5 day stay and I have stayed here before and it was an average stay. This time, was different. Out of the 5 days I only received room servicing 2 days. Then with that servicing the only thing that was done was towel exchange. No hair dryer in the room, the conditioner was empty every day, the pillow cases on some of the pillows were inside out, beds were never made, soap and lotion never placed or replaced. Then let's talk about the bed. It was awful. When I called because my back was feeling horrible I was told all the mattresses were the same age and were the same. I would not recommend staying here, I would choose one of the other three and go w those. read more

We checked in close to 10pm and was warmly greeted by (Freida?) who gave us the run down of information (breakfast times, laundry facility hours, parking, cleaning service, etc.) and offered us the last of the delicious peanut butter cookies and two bottles of water. We stayed in 811 which was perfect as it was close to the laundry room. Laundry room was clean too! Our room was clean, lots of towels and bedding for the sofa was available (although we didn't need it). My only complaint was the bed was hard as a rock! read more

I stayed in this Towneplace for a little under 2 months. It had everything I needed (comfy bed, full kitchen minus oven, shower, couch, TV, desk, AC/heat unit) even though the room layout was not ideal (cramped kitchen, couch facing bed with TV off to the side, cramped shower in decent sized bathroom, no space for suitcases). I had some weird billing issues. The guy who checked me in gave me bad information. Whenever I asked to talk to the manager, he was clearly avoiding talking to me. It eventually got sorted but it was a pain. Only one employee was helpful (Kylie I think, she deserves a mega raise). Other things of note: pet friendly for a one time fee and they did let us stay on the 2nd floor but no elevators, almost every washer and dryer were out of order during my stay so doing laundry was a challenge, super outdated gym and towels often out, jacuzzi was super dirty and didn't get hot at all, occasional free cookies in the lobby, super basic continental breakfast items, lots of hills/stairs and not a whole lot of grass for dog walking, close to some shops/restaurants, parking near your room can be tough if you get home late but most of the time they had plenty spots, very friendly housekeepers but never came during requested times, you can rent a basketball at the front desk, pool closed before Labor Day which was lame, nightly parking fee plus tax really adds up but you can avoid room tax for long term stays. Felt like the business needed a giant "please excuse our mess" sign out front, but as far as a good night's sleep in a safe, quiet area it did the trick. read more

Review of TownePlace Suites by Marriott, Mukilteo, WA Stayed Thursday, September 11th through the 16th while visiting family. Upon arrival, we went to our room, unpacked for a 5-night stay, and left to join family. Shut the door, checked to make sure it was locked, and it came right open! We repeated the process twice with no success, then saw 2 housekeeping staff going by so we asked for assistance. They were non-English speaking, so we pointed to our door and demonstrated to them how it would not lock. Apparently, one of them had radioed the front desk, and the maintenance man arrived. He easily opened what should have been a locked door, fiddled with the knob on the inside, closed the door and thought that would do it. My husband told him to try the handle, and it came right open without a key in sight! After 2 more attempts of this ridiculous routine, it finally locked. We said this was not acceptable. He told me to call the office. Before he left, I asked him to remove the used condom 3 feet from our outside door! He actually picked it up with his ungloved hand!!! The receptionist said we could move to another room, but they had no downstairs rooms available. We requested downstairs 3 months earlier when making this reservation since there are no elevators. At 78 and 76, carrying heavy luggage up the stairs is very difficult. Plus, we had just unpacked everything for a 5-night stay. My husband finally was able to jiggle the door to keep it locked but had to do this and worry about our safety and belongings for the entire stay. The carpet was so dirty, I started wearing socks. Photos show the thread bare linen that I washed my feet with and the dirt on my socks. Plus, we were given 1 washcloth for 2 people. We were able to catch a housekeeper and given more washcloths. The curtains were uneven at the bottom and torn at the top. The smoke alarm went off after each shower as the fan did little to nothing to dissipate the steam. Windows remained steamed up for over an hour afterwards. The bathroom door would not stay open and would hit you as you stood at the sink. Television worked intermittently, sometimes it would come on and other times, it would not. First shower I took I discovered the hair conditioner dispenser was empty. The most frustrating issue, other than the door, was that we stayed here 2 years ago for same length of time and our experience was 90% better!!! It is why we were expecting the same during this stay. What a disappointment and miserable stay. The number of points we used at this rundown, neglected property, got us a week's stay in a lovely resort in Williamsburg, Virginia earlier this year. Marriott should send a corporate member to inspect this horrible location and make a sweeping change in management and upgrades as this is a very poor representation of their (Marriott's) proud name. read more

Stayed 3 nights and for the price paid not bad but not great either. No traffic noise however I was awaken all 3 nights by a crying baby above me at O dark thirty. The picture of door security repair looks like a third world country repair. Replacing the molding would have been cheaper than the labor spent to make this tacky repair. The complimentary breakfasts were commercially prepared breakfast sandwiches on warming trays and every heated item contained cheese and I unfortunately have a dairy allergy! Everything! We went to rent a room for a couple of nights. We are older and our house was going to be open so we thought it would be easier to stay in a hotel. First of all there are no elevators so stairs to everything. After we got to room found it was extremely small. The bed hardly fit! This was a suite?? It hadn't been cleaned! I'm 70 years old and have stayed in many Marriott hotels through my life for both personal and business. The TownPlace Sues by Marriott Seattle Everett/Mukilteo is a DUMP. We stayed in room 424. It was filthy. We specifically asked about the sofa bed when we checked in and when we got ready for bed there were NO linens for the gross mattress on the sofa bed. When we complained we were told you have to ask for them. If we were asking about the sofa bed mabye they could have asked us. Entering the bathroom there was a clump of hair on the tissue box. In the corner of the room there was an artificial eye lash in the corner of the bathroom that looked like a insect. We went to put something in the freezer and there was opened Reese's Peanut Butter Cups with two dirty spoons in the freezer. We were so tired we decided to just go to bed and get the hell out of there the next morning. Next morning, my friend went to shower first. Took the bathmat off the side of the tub and it was covered with hair. The tub filled with water and the tub didn't drain. I waited 20 minutes, and it still hadn't drained so I wasn't able to shower. By now we just wanted the hell out of there. We stopped by the office and I asked for the manager. Manager doesn't get in until 11am. They would have them call me. By 12:45 I hadn't heard so I called. The manager answered the phone but wouldn't identify themselves as the manager until I pushed. When I walked through what had happened I was told that we should have complained when we checked in and not when we checked out if we wanted compensation. Really? I even sent pictures. She said she needed to talked with housekeeping to verify. Again, seriously? I'm sure housekeeping doesn't know what condition a room was left in. She said she'd call me back. Instead I got an email stating there was nothing she could do. I called the Marriott, I was told by them that I had to go through Capital One Travel since I had used my points to book the room. I called them and they told me that they had to work with Marriott. Today, I got this email. Email: Here's more information. TV had no volume control if you need to connect your laptop. Apparently all Marriott hotels have retrofitted LG TVs that do not have volume buttons and blare the TV at ridiculously loud volumes. I don't watch much TV but do like to use it as a second monitor or use my own fire stick when I do want to watch TV. Even if you do try to watch the crap TV there is so much lag between lips moving and the actual talking as to make even Sportcenter unwatchable. Will not be staying at any Marriott ever again. read more

Horrible and disgusting room! I would never stay here! Looked like it hadn't been cleaned in weeks. Grime, hair and dirt in tub , crumbs and dust on floor, bugs in window , and nasty stuff on the counter and in sink. We stayed for 10 minutes and had to leave . Our other family member was getting a room as well so we both had to find a new place to stay!!! No way either of us were staying there! The staff is not helpful and will not refund saying they don't know how ? Horrible place . We went to hotel down the street and saw three other people that left as well. While the front desk staff was sweet, my experience at this hotel was the complete opposite. I booked a room for a month long stay but ending up leaving after night 15 due to my experience. The whole time I stayed, my room was not cleaned once after multiple requests. I was also told multiple times it would happen the next day, but still failed to occur. Next the security latch on my door did not work properly. Sometimes it would close, sometimes it would pop off immediately, and sometimes it would pop off 30 mins to 2 hours later. Needless to say, it had a mind of its own. Being in a new town and by myself, this was a very concerning safety issue. I requested maintenance check it out, but that request also went unresolved. Lastly, I was able to hear the people next to me having conversations and the people below me coughing up a lung at all hours. With all those noises and the obnoxiously loud running toilet in my room, I was never able to get a nice night of sleep. I understand that some things are out of peoples control. Things happen! Hotels get run down, staff members get sick, etc... That is why every time I spoke with the hotel staff I remained nice and pleasant. So when I told them I can no longer stay because my basic needs were not being met, they understood and we very apologetic. I am a Marriott member and this was the most disappointing location I have ever encountered. Overall Mukilteo is a great little area, I would just recommend staying not at this hotel. We are frequent travelers around the PNW and have stayed at a number of Marriotts (specifically the Towne place Suites in various locations), so when our power was out for a week after a crazy wind storm, we muscled up our points and booked somewhere with warmth, light, and wifi. We did get those things, BTW - well, 2/3. So we are grateful that there was a roof available to us. We had, in fact, booked out through the weekend (5 nights) knowing our power would likely come back before that, but because all of our stays at Marriott properties have been amazing. Usually, the rooms are large and comfortable, there are free laundry facilities (a must for a family), a nice warm pool, free parking, continental breakfast in the morning, and the staff never balk at our strange requests for additional linen, dishware, or garbage cans. But this Marriott... This one was very, very different. We had lights and internet, at least, but the internet wasn't locked down to the property at all, so was insanely slow. The parking is $10/car/day, despite an empty parking lot. The heat settings were either the North Pole or Hades. The pullout bed was an inch thick (I measured) and stained and dirty. The staff wouldn't part with additional blankets or pillows, didn't have a single extra garbage bin available, and when we asked for pillowcases, they were "out". The laundry was coin op, no change machine available even if I did want to do laundry during my stay. The pool was outdoors (IN WASHINGTON) and obviously closed, along with the hot tub. In fact, the entire "hotel" was actually a complex of what looked like tiny apartment complexes with poor outdoor lighting and teeny, tiny rooms. Our "suite" here was literally a 400 square foot apartment with a 3/4 fridge, where a room with the same name at the Bellingham property was an actual hotel, two queens and a king, full kitchen with breakfast counter and full table, couch... And all of those amenities disappointing us at the property we stayed at were not only free in Bellingham, they were effortlessly accessible, indoor, and administered by a staff that seemed to want us there. Needless to say, we cut our stay WAY short as soon as our smart locks notified us that our power was back on at home. Never staying here again and seriously questioning how the franchisee can manage to keep the Marriott name without upholding their values regarding customers. read more

Worst stay ever, especially for a Marriott! We got in late last night, front counter person was really nice and helpful with check in. The poor guys looked tired, he advised that the pool was out but the hot tub is working! We got to our room and it was smaller than we expected from the online description! After setting up for our stay, we noticed quite a few problems. The first one was that the kitchen was super small, the freezer smelled off, the track lights were dirty with spider webs, carpet was dusty! We set up the couch bed and noticed a couple of nasty stains on the mattress, we took out the protective cover and it was all torn up with holes! The mattress itself was horrible, you can feel the springs big time and one side of the bed was almost flat! The closet hanger rack bolts are coming out of the wall and the iron hanger was the same. We went don't to advise the desk person and that poor guy apologized several times, got us a new mattress protector and advised that will make notes and tell the maintenance person. After a good conversation, found out that they were super low on staff, and he's been there since 7 in the morning and we talked to him at 2230. I asked him how come he had to work pretty much a double and stated that super short staff because they all quit! I asked if this location was corporate or franchisee, stated a franchise and a new company just took over on the first of the month and I guess the other employees didn't wanna work for this company and made it harder for the few that stayed! Woke up this morning for the breakfast and we saw the same guy that was working the desk, helping with cleaning or setting up rooms, I asked if he even went home and he said for a few hours, this guy needs a raise for sure! On the breakfast area there was hardly anything out for consumption, had to ask for more coffee, and breakfast sandwiches, but there was plenty of cereal and juice though! I do wanna say the morning crew had there work cut out for them, there demeanor wasn't very pleasant but I do wanna say that I understand there frustration working several positions because of the former workers leaving! The pool was closed because of the filter system being broken and it looked like a dirty mote and creatures living in there but the hot tub was open but big enough for like 4 people and there was already a family in there! read more

Oh my goodness we have stayed in nearly every hotel in Mukilteo and a few in Everett and how surprised I am by the staff and ammenities here at the Towne Place. Linda Dermates at the front desk goes above & beyond to m as me you feel comfortable and at home. This was by far one of the worst hotel experiences of my life. It started by a Hotwire hot rate hotel. We get there and they wouldn't accept any of our cards because they claimed they're not real banks or cards. Then when we decide to cancel we go outside with our family to the car to figure out where we are going to stay before driving anywhere . After that, one of the staff members came out and tapped on our window to yell at us, honestly thought he was homeless until he flashed his nipple. I mean his name tag... inside his jacket that was awkward af... needless to say he told us to gtfo and leave because our reservation was declined? We ended up leaving shortly after booking a wayyyy better hotel and got on the phone with them to get a refund due to covid! They refused because she said they are strict on cancellation. It took a whole hour between this rude staff chick at the front and Hotwire to get it resolved because she didn't understand how hot rate hotels work at all. They shouldn't be listed on there and honestly shouldn't be in the hospitality business because there was nothing about this place that was remotely hospitable in any way!! They were aggressive, rude , and borderline psychotic! read more

Beware of disclosure practices!! Stayed here during a family emergency and found the place to be clean (most important!) and quiet. Problems arose when the bill came. The front desk clerk "omitted" the fact that our rate changed nightly by just saying "your rate is $139/night" - not that this rate was only for 1 night - and they charge $10/day for parking - which we weren't told about, but is buried in the hotel site. Once I filled out a negative survey the manager contacted me. While appreciated, the compensation was some Marriott points and $23 refund. This certainly doesn't make up for the attitude of "the customer should know to ask the right questions". Very disappointed in this hotel - will not be back. read more

It's been a long time since I've stayed at a TownePlace suites, so I wasn't exactly sure what to expect. The reward redemption was fairly affordable, it was on the way between Vancouver and Seattle, and the reviews were decent, so I decided to give it a shot. We got in around 10PM at night, one of the last people to get there. The front desk staff was helpful and efficient, and the little shop in the lobby had a decent selection of affordable snacks and drinks. There was a decent swimming pool and grill area, and the area was pretty quiet so I can see this place working as an extended stay property. However, parking was a pain, and it took a trip around the entire parking lot to find a single spot. The rooms were decently sized, clean, and didn't look terribly out of date. It was a comfortable stay, and the sofa bed wasn't half terrible. The bathroom did look a little dreary and dark though, so that could have been better. My other main complaint with this property is breakfast in the morning. It was free, but it was a total madhouse. They were out of half the items, and the minute anything came out people were mobbing the place. If we weren't going on a cruise in 2 hours, it could have been really annoying. TownePlace Suites is ideally located near the Future of Flight Boeing plant tour in Everett and just minutes away from the Mulkiteo ferry to nearby Whidbey Island. There are plenty of restaurants in the area, the location is quiet and there are wineries and distilleries close by. A basic hot breakfast is available daily and my room was clean and comfortable. read more

This is actually my second week staying here this is a pretty nice place to stay gives you a townhome type of atmosphere. It's a little dated but well-kept you have the essentials that you need in regards to... obviously your bed, a couch seating area, a desk and a kitchenette. Your also provided a dishwasher and a stove top along with a microwave. Along with you stay they have for HBO channels towel service and dishes provided along with the coffee maker in your kitchen. The parking is plentiful next to whatever building your residing in and they provide a breakfast in the morning along with dinners on Monday and Tuesday's. read more

We've been staying here every summer for the past few years, and it's time I write a review about Marriott's TownePlace Suites in Mukilteo. Mukilteo is one of our home away from home. Every summer, we trek down to visit family, shop, visit museums and zoos, and EAT. Lots. We choose to stay here because the rooms are always nice, clean and neat. The staff are very, very friendly. Every room comes with a kitchen, kitchenware, fridge, microwave, LCD TV, etc. Each room also comes with free wired and wireless internet service. Free breakfast, not great, but good enough for a quick fill up before starting the day. Breakfast includes, hard boiled eggs, cereals, miso soup, muffins, bagels, toasts, make-your-own waffles, and fruits. There are quite a bit of breakfast spots around, so not a big deal. They also have a small pool and a small basketball court, which my kids love. On top of that, this is pretty central to the places we like going to. The room was very gross. There were different kinds of hair in various places throughout the room. Found something called jungle juice under the bed. Something was smeared on the base of the television. Spiders in the room. Broken coffee maker. I could have looked past all of that until a guy came to being us replacement sheets and pillows. He made some very disparaging comments about the cleaning staff not doing their jobs because they couldn't speak English. He didn't have to make that comment. Will report to corporate. Stayed here on a whim when I decided I was too tired to drive. Friendly staff. Security guard present and walking through complex. Rooms had clean carpet, although the bathroom sink had some toothpaste remains from a prior guest. Quiet room. Family comfortable bed with sheets that smelled of chlorine. Nice kitchenette that includes a good sized refrigerator, coffee pot, sink, and two electric burners. Free wifi. Desk area doubled as dining table. Towels were stiff. I think if I was staying here for more than a few days and came by car, I would consider bringing towels from home. Dinner available nightly. Breakfast was better than expected and included the obligatory waffle iron, dry cereal, oatmeal, bagels, muffins, and yogurt. But they also had rice and salmon and hard boiled eggs. Overall, it is an excellent value and if I was in the area I would likely choose to stay here again. read more

This place would deserve 4 stars, however I take one off because of the noisy refrigerator that woke me at night. I love to point out the friendly and helpful staff. The place is clean and doesn't have the old carpet smell that even a three star hotel might have. I've booked a queen size bed room, but it surprised me to see the size of a suite that came with a small kitchen and everything you need; small sofa, and nice work table. The bathroom is clean with a walk-in shower instead of a bathtub which I like. Comfortable bed and clean bed sheets also a plus. If I come again I would pick this place but unplug the refrigerator before I sleep for sure. read more

Booked this hotel for my son and his family as they were flying into Paine Field last minute on New Year's Day. My daughter in law had surgery a few days before and had many medications with her and forgot them in the hotel at check out. The hotel made sure to go the extra mile to get in touch with my son to get them back to her...the staff there are top notch. Great experience when customer service seems to be a thing of the past. The room was very clean and spacious. Son was very impressed for a hotel at this price point as he travels quite often around the country. read more

We had reservations to stay at this location for months due to it's convenient location to the Future of Flight museum and tour. Upon arriving, our room wasn't ready and I originally thought it was strange that they wanted my phone number to let me know when the room was ready. Usually the wait is less than half an hour as housekeeping clears rooms for new guests. We waited a while (over half an hour) and decided to find the museum for our tour the next day. It's just minutes away so we quickly located it and went in. The staff said it was no issue to move our tour to 2 PM so we went on it, but their rules require cell phones to be left behind. At 3 PM the Marriott app showed our room ready for check-in and a 3:16 voice mail stated our room was ready. We picked these up at 3:30 PM and were back at the Towneplace Suites by 3:40. At the desk we were told they had no rooms ready. I was angry that after 3 hours of waiting and two levels of notification that they had no rooms ready. The desk clerk asked for three minutes to get a room from housekeeping, I told him that he had five and then we were leaving. After ten minutes we were out of there. I documented this with Marriott customer service and gave them 4 opportunities to make this right under their Guaranteed Reservation policy. Their response was that Towneplace Suites management would get in contact with me. It has now been one full month and no contact has been made. This location doesn't care about its obligations and the Marriott Guaranteed Reservation policy appears to be a hollow promise. Let the buyer beware. read more

Chose this hotel because it looks to be very close to Future of Flights which we were going next morning at 10am. It was very close, about 3 minutes away. If you drive for 5 minutes, that is too long. BTW, there is a Hilton pretty much on the same premise as Future of Flights so its a 1 minute walk to the front door. I have points with Marriott hence Towneplace Suites. Check-in was fast, no problem. They didn't have any room with 2 double beds; I mean, the hotel only has a king bed plus sofa bed so we had to take that. Its an extended stay so it had a small kitchen but with all utensils and pots/pans. Room was clean, nice and seemed new. Room was OK size but once the sofa bed is pulled out there isn't much room to walk. Usual Towneplace amenity inside the room. As for its surroundings, we went out for dinner and ate at Z's Burger, which wasn't very good (see my review). A small plaza diagonally across with Thai and Chinese restaurants. You can walk there in 5 minutes. A minute up is a pizza place which looked to be the most happening restaurant in that area. Also a Taco Bell right there. Not that many selections but the basics are covered. We didn't drive too far but not that many places in the immediate area. Breakfast was just OK, could be better. Hard boil egg, no scrambled egg. No meat items (no sausage/bacon). Cereals, oat meal, fruits, toast/muffin, yogurt. The best item is probably self made waffle. If I have a need to be at this area again, I wouldn't mind staying again. read more

TownePlace Suites Mukilteo is a value extended-stay hotel on the Marriott spectrum of brands. This property has an inviting, relaxed feel. The grounds are top-notch, and the physical structures are well-maintained. The individual accomodations make me think of cottages or a very quiet, luxury apartment community. It's not like the Boeing engineers and contractors who stay here are a rowdy crowd. Close to the ferry to Whidbey Island, the hotel is a perfect stopping point for a family vacation or a weekend outing. Mukilteo is a small town, but there are stores and restaurants nearby, and a Taco Bell is next to the hotel. A grocery store in a shopping center is a short drive down Mukilteo Speedway. The service is friendly and personal, never intrusive. There is a pool, a hot tub, a laundry room, and a small gym. Although I never stayed longer than a weekend, I would be very comfortable spending a few weeks here. (Review based on more than five visits.) read more

Stayed here one night by mistake, I wanted the staybridge down the road. My room was dirty, hand prints and smudges on the doors and appliances. Stained sheets. The room next door had a "Keep door open" cardboard sign and odd smells coming out of it. The front desk said they had no other rooms and I couldn't get a refund if I left. I scrubbed down the room and slept in my clothes . Breakfast food looked good but it was being held below safe temps. I completed the survey and received a copy and paste from Tova. No apology, no offers to make things right. Stay somewhere else there's plenty to choose from. read more

Place is very clean and well maintained. Service is great. Lower cost and better value than the other Marriott hotels in the immediate Seattle area. They offer gym passes and some free food/alcohol in the afternoons. I would stay here again and like this place. read more

This is a great extended-stay hotel, even though I was just here for one night. It's in a pretty good location and it's easy to pop on to the highway nearby. Rooms were clean, spacious, and decorated in a way that was not typical for a hotel. It felt more homey. I also loved that the rooms were basically in town houses instead of typical tiny rooms in a high-rise. There was also a bunch of communal facilities (which we didn't use), including an outdoor pool & hot tub. The only thing lacking here, though it was complimentary, was the breakfast situation. There was a decent amount of selection (bagels, muffins, oatmeal, eggs, fruit etc), but the kitchenette in the lobby was definitely not equipped to service the number of guests that were there. We arrived decently early, and a lot of things were already gone, including the coffee. All of the tables in the lobby were also taken, so we ended up bringing the breakfast back to our room to eat it. The staff seemed frantic in their attempt to help everyone, as if they were unprepared for so many guests, so perhaps this was a fluke. One of the cool things I liked about this hotel was the map in the lobby (see my posted photo). It was a large, magnetic map on the wall, and the staff had added little magnets around to show nearby attractions and stores. Stayed here with my dog after moving and it was great! Exactly what I needed. Nice room, relaxing, quiet, spacious (relatively), great WiFi, excellent staff. Don't hesitate to stay here if you're good with the price point. I dinged it only because it's pricey and they still use coin operated laundry machines. Try something that can be used with your hotel card or debit card. So much easier. Would I stay here again? Absolutely. read more

If you plan to stay at this hotel, be sure to ask for a room on the top floor if you want to get some sleep. The walls are thin and you can hear everything from every neighbor. Not to say the upstairs room. Perhaps I am a light sleeper, but I sure could hear them farting all night. read more

Stayed one night. Check in was smooth and inviting. The room was large, clean, had a kitchenette. WiFi was fast. The only downside (and it was small) was I couldn't get the tv to show a guide, so I had to slowly move through each channel to find something to watch. Not a big deal. It's a cute place. We choose this hotel back in September because it was pretty centrally located to my family reunion and a few other things we wanted to do. The rooms are like mini apartments (maybe converted from??) which gave a nice homey feel. The room was clean and comfortable. Nice little fitness center, outdoor pool and hot tub. Only con would be the thin walls. Hotel desk was friendly and they offer beer, wine, juice, sandwiches, etc for purchase in lobby. read more
