I canceled my application with Town Line Townhomes well within the 72-hour window -- in fact, within 24 hours. I was told I'd receive my refund, but no one (including Megan or Robert) communicated that although the payment was sent electronically, the refund would take 2-3 weeks and arrive by paper check through the mail. This is completely unacceptable in 2025. Everything is electronic except when it's time for them to return your money. Waiting weeks for a physical check is inconvenient, outdated, and not clearly disclosed anywhere in the application process. Had they been transparent from the start, I would have reconsidered applying. Potential residents deserve to know this ahead of time, especially when mail can be delayed or lost. The lack of communication and outdated refund policy makes this experience extremely frustrating, and I cannot recommend this property based on my experience. read more

The Management is horrible here. Lived here for 4 years and after I moved out, They declined to return my two months deposit and asked me to pay $9000 for unknown expenses. My deposit and $9000= $15,000 that they stole from me. This place is not worth it, Small rooms with suffocating environment and rents went up $1400 during my 4 year stay. Its a trap once you sign the lease. Save yourself money and hassle. Run fast and far from them. read more

Another update: I've been here 10 years now and I do love living here. I love my cute townhome. Its still quiet and pretty here. Maintenance is still amazing! Always quick and always fixes your issues no problem. The leasing agents are no longer a revolving door like they were several years ago and they are great! Never have any issues with my neighbors. My only gripe still is that most years the rent goes up a bit too much and no matter how great of a tenant you are or how much you ask....corporate will never negotiate your rent renewal. Its not the property manager's fault though, their hands are tied. I may be moving this year but only because the cost of the rent is a bit too high for my income and I live here by myself now whereas I used to live here with my ex husband. I would rather not move and maybe I will be able to stay but honestly if and when I do move I may cry a bit because this was truly my home! read more

If I could give less stars I absolutely would! My husband and I probably ended up renting here only for the lady that showed us the apartment. Only to find out a week after moving in that she was no longer with the company. And after living here for three years I have never seen the same face in the leasing office more than twice. We have an end unit and if my husband and I aren't home by 1:30 each day from work, we are guaranteed at least a 500+ yard walk to our door. This is a nightmare in the rain, snow or grocery shopping day. Then there are the other tenants who have no idea how to park or drive for that matter around the complex. I have lost count of the number of times I have almost been in an accident while driving around a "slow curve" throughout the development because people don't understand driving laws or no parking signs. The maintenance staff is efficient, and I appreciate what they do. They're quick to fix your problems, or even suggest future repairs if needed. They're also really good with snow removal. I work a stupid early shift and on snowy days my sidewalk and car were normally plowed out by the time I left at 5am. Thanks!! The "gym" is a whole different story. There is a reason no one under the age of 16 is allowed without an adult. This is not a play place or jungle gym. Please go somewhere else to let your young child scale workout equipment unattended. It's also never cleaned! There is always trash and debris all over the place - either clean up after yourself or don't go. The addition of the mat and ball were nice, but I would have liked to see a few free weights and a bench added in. For what I pay in rent each month it's the least you could do. Oh and maybe chain the tv remotes to the tvs - they are always missing! The apartment overall is nice. It's a decent size for just two people, but I will agree with other reviews - the walls are a little thin. I can hear very clearly when our neighbors are arguing or punishing their child - oh then their child stomps like a dinosaur throughout the house for the remainder of the night. Thankfully it's not too disruptive - haha. In the end - renter be ware. They sell you one product on the surface and once you're comfortable things change and colors begin to show. read more

Been here for 1 month and the only positive thing to say about this place is it's a nice complex that is family oriented and safe. The application process was excessive. Requires 4 sequential paystubs which I don't even look at myself quite honestly I sent my offer letter that I had from my job that was not satisfactory. Then once our application was accepted there was a lot of extra paperwork that was required and I have rented two other types of housing in the past one apartment and one house that did not require this much paperwork. It's not like this place is much nicer other than amenities such as pool and gym. Then the unit itself, somewhat dated small kitchen with poor ventilation and not much closer space for the amount of rent you're paying for. Whoever did the modeling must have been a leprechaun- going up the stairs there part of the ceiling that comes down so low anyone over 6 feet has to duck. The door frames are narrow. We had to buy a new box spring for queen mattress because it wouldn't fit up the stairs. Went to the mattress firm up the road on 202 and I told the sales lady what was going on and she said we're not the first customers who have had to come in for that reason. There was an ants nest when we moved in. Out in maintenance took up about 2 weeks to address. The water pressure for the shower is awful. The central air does not travel well through the unit- It feels as though it does not travel upstairs nor in the den if the door is closed. Then the pool... they are taking precautions with covid so it's by reservation only with two time slots available. we go on a Sunday afternoon nearly 100 degrees at our appointment time in the later afternoon only for the lifeguard to say oh sorry I'm going on my break the afternoon time doesn't start until 3 pm !! Sorry the management didn't update the times.. oh really they just have changed in the last 5 days since that's when we made our reservation and there was no mention of it. Also very passive aggressive letters sent about what is and is not allowed on lawns. Management complaining about excessive potted plants, too many chairs. If it's not bothering the other tenants I don't understand why it should be an issue. Probably won't renew the lease when the time is up but as I said my only positive experience is the first line of this review. read more

This is deifinitely a 5 star development in regards to how well they keep the property and respond to maintenance issues. My only issues were the rent increases each year which I realize some are to be expected but not as much as they are, along with the new guidelines on not being allowed to have BBQ grills. I am frankly surprised about the negative reviews. I stayed there from May through August of 2014. I found the unit as well as the complex very clean, comfortable, quiet and in good condition. Moreover, the staff were always exceptionally polite and helpful. I had no issues getting my deposit back (along with a nice letter) and on time. In fact, when I needed their help a year later to confirm my stay there they went above and beyond to be helpful. I would highly recommend Townline Townhomes for short or long-term lease. read more

We came across similar situation like Warren P where Townline Townhome sent collection agency NCC business service behind us after 3-4 months of vacating the room. When we were moving out of house, townline did sent people to check any damage and no complaints reported. It was very disappointing experience which today I shared with them by sending mail to manager at townline. Nobody cared to call me from townline management before or after vacating the room. While Townline Townhomes' actual apartments are acceptable (though cold and thin-walled), the office shows a real determination to get money out of you after move out. Instead of a security deposit you pay for a $200 surety bond, which they use to pay a collection agency to come after you if you, in any way, disagree with the fees they levy when you move out. We lived in a 1100 sqft. townhouse, and wound up with damage to the carpet in the tiny second 10x10 bedroom. We were happy to pay to replace this carpet, but they insisted that they 'no longer had the same color carpet available' and therefore would be charging us to replace 1100 sqft. of carpet. (I suppose it is pretty tough to find carpet in such a wild beige hue.) They were completely unwilling to discuss this like rational human beings, and instead sent us a bill postmarked the 23rd which read, 'If this fee is not paid by the 23rd we will remit your account to the collection agency." I'd avoid TLTH (as we affectionately refer to it), or just budget $700 - $1500 so that you can pay whatever fees they dream up for you upon move-out. read more

I just moved out of there at the end of August 2012 and recently got the damages bill. They claim the kitchen and bathrooms were filthy, yet they don't specify why or how (I know they weren't because I got a cleaner to clean before I moved out). Now we have this huge bill to pay and no one is willing to go into further explanation. I also completely agree with the staffing issues on other posts - there have been multiple property "managers" that are definitely not up to par! If they want to maintain an upscale property then they should have competent people. Last thing, the invoice for the damages arrived on Sept 20 but was dated Sept 17. So they expect payment in full within 4 days, even though on paper it seems like they gave me a week. When I brought it up to the manager, her response was "yes I do see that...." I liked living here but beware because its nice and shiny looking on the outside, but in behind the scenes is shady. I will say that the grounds are kept up nicely, and the pool and gym are nice amenities. Also, the queen box spring DEFINITELY does not go up the stairs, we had to buy a split. The insulation is super thin, so downstairs its freezing and upstairs is ridiculously hot (ALL THE TIME). The dryer takes 2 hours to fully dry clothes, whether its towels or socks.. I cherish the time I lived here. This is my #1, my absolute best rental experience of my entire life. Management is fair and reasonable. Maintenance works with pride to keep the units in good shape. The landscaping and common areas are beautiful all the time. I very rarely heard anything from neighbor units. So, the insulation is decent. I only left because my job moved to King of Prussia. I documented the condition of my unit very carefully when I moved in and moved out. Upon move-out, I was not charged for any damage or cleaning. read more

We have been living here for a little more than 3 years. The staff has always been awesome and they take care of maintenance issues in an immediate and professional manner. However the rent increases each year are more than I have experienced anywhere else, and in looking at other comparable developments in the area the rent here is higher than anywhere else. We always pay our rent on time but each year it goes up too much. We soon won't be able to live here. A more current issue is the letter we just received stating that we are no longer permitted to have propane grills We have had ours since we moved in, along with many of our neighbors. It was ALLOWED when we moved....charcoal grills were not. We cook out all summer long as to keep our electric bill down. We just signed our renewal last week and nothing was mentioned about this happening or we would have not renewed. They say it's a fire hazard yet we are permitted to use electric grills which require running extension cords into the house which is dangerous. We also received a letter in our mailbox regarding a small garden angel that we have outside. We are told we are not permitted to put anything in our garden area, which pretty much looks awful as they continue each year to plant dead plants. As much as we pay in rent we should be allowed to make it our home. It's a shame because we really loved it here and planned on staying. read more

Look elsewhere!!! My husband and I spent as much as we did every month to have the overpowering smell of marijuana in our unit, coming from our connected neighbor, calling the police and the constant battle with the office and upper management all for them to have done nothing at all. I could not believe the lack of concern with this issue!! Since they would NOT allow us to break our lease (considering we had a NEWBORN in that unit!) After it was up we were VERY happy to move out and find somewhere that appreciates good tenants and not having to worry about inviting family and friends over in fear that it would smell of drugs. Bottom line, spend your money elsewhere and somewhere that cares! read more
