I had no idea what I needed for my TV mounting. Bought a Samsung frame TV which needs a recess outlet. I even had to call a tech at Best Buy and Nicholas spoke to the tech on the phone to figure out what it was I actually needed. He was super flexible with my request and I really appreciated it. Also pricing was very reasonable!

On Nov 15 2023, I spoke with Nick, who promised me both honesty and professionalism. He was adamant about his "honest reputation", along with tons of experience. True sales pitch. On Dec 1, I paid a deposit of $104 and the work was scheduled for December 12th. Nick asked me my location and I gave him the address. He also asked me "which side of Live Oak are you on?" and I explained exactly where my home is. He told me the job shouldn't take more than an hour or two and he'd see me on the 12th. On Dec 12, 15 minutes before Nick was due to show up, he called me. He wanted to both confirm the appointment and to gouge me for an additional $150 for a "trip charge", because he said he "didn't realize" how far away I was. He claimed it would take an extra 90 mintues to drive here. (I drive to Lake City very often, it's 25 miles from here on a 60mph road, 30 minutes max) I guess he thought he could pressure me, but he simply lost all trust I had in his company. His website claims honesty and integrity, ... even claims he is a veteran... but this was not my experience with him. Nick told me explicitly that his behavior fell under his definition of "honesty", but it does not fit mine. I am also a veteran of foreign wars, and we do not treat each other this way. To Other Vets and customers: Don't trust him with your hard earned money! My desired solution: refund my $104 and leave me alone Responding here to Nick... I don't care about your other customers or how hard it is to run your business. Not my concern. I care about being gouged last minute, after 12 days of waiting. I'm sure you were very busy, but again, not my concern. Are you going to do the right thing and refund my $104 or do I need to take legal action?

First, I want to recognize Matt, the technician who came to my home. He was very knowledgeable, professional, and courteous throughout the visit. He took the time to answer my questions and shared valuable information about water treatment systems and installation considerations. He also mentioned that when these units are shipped and transported on their sides, it can sometimes create issues depending on the equipment and how long it remained in that position. I appreciated his expertise and his willingness to educate me on the project. My concern is not with Matt, but with the company's communication regarding fees. During my Yelp communications, I was advised that this would be a free estimate. Based on that representation, I scheduled the appointment. Matt reviewed the project and provided a quote of approximately $2,700. After obtaining several other quotes in the $400 to $550 range, I decided to move forward with another installer. Only after I informed Matt that I would not be proceeding with David Gray was I advised of a $49 service charge. At no point during the Yelp conversation, scheduling process, or prior to the appointment was I informed that there would be a charge associated with the estimate. Had I known about this fee in advance, I would not have scheduled the appointment. What made the situation more frustrating was that after declining the work, I received an invoice via email for the $49 charge, despite my understanding, based on the Yelp messages, that the estimate was free. This came as a complete surprise, as no fee had been disclosed or discussed beforehand. I believe companies should be transparent about any service-call, trip, diagnostic, or estimate fees before scheduling appointments so customers can make informed decisions. Again, Matt was excellent and represented the company professionally. My review reflects concerns with the company's communication and billing practices, not the quality of service provided by the technician. I would encourage future customers to confirm in writing whether any charges apply to estimates or site visits before scheduling an appointment.
