We have been using their services for the past couple of years with very good success. We had a local company that charged much more however we never got the results we have with Townsquare. They have been quick to respond to changes on the pages and also my rating have been close to the top of the Google search every month. Last month we had a total of 22 calls directly from mobile phones, which they make very easy to use with any mobile device. Our sales have been much better since we stopped using Paying Google. If you are looking for a good company for your website this one is definitely not one of them. It's been over a year when i signed up for their services paid more then $2500 and got zero results, when i called and asked them why my website isn't bringing any business I've been told that results don't come for a short period of time like a year and I need to spend a little more time and Iv'e been offered more aggressive ad's campaign for more money of course. Then I asked to cancel my services, they didn't want to do it and said that they want my business and they will improve, since I paid for a month in advance i decided to stay to see if they will improve anything or not, nothing has changed as for traffic what they actually did is adding a little more content to the website. So i canceled my services on the last day before billing and called credit card company to block the merchant, month later i got a call requesting for prompt payment and if I don't pay they will send it to collection agency So, I can't express how disappointed I am with this company. Do not choose this company if you're looking for an E-commerce website made. Don't even choose them at all to be honest. I'm not the type to leave bad reviews but I feel like I need to warn others from giving this company their money. I'll tell you a few of the things I've dealt with since August. 1. I gave them $1200 in advance (for 3 months) because I had extra funds and knew it'd take about three months to start seeing traffic. Well, after meeting with them, they had one phone conversation with me about my products and services. I told the ideas of how I wanted my site just like in the initial meeting. They said they'd help edit photos(they didn't) They made my site live without my consent on a very busy holiday weekend WITHOUT a shop for my customers So I missed out on around $200. 2. They started charging me for a live site that was not approved by me. I had to have a meeting with them because they were taking money out of my deposit. THEY TOLD ME I WOULDNT BE CHARGED UNTIL I WENT LIVE. I understand that but I went live without even approving the site. 3. THE SITE. Was horrible. I asked for a commerce website and they pretty much loaded all this information in about how my customers can CALL NOW, LEARN MORE, EMAIL US. Nothing about a shop. It looked like a site you'd go to to learn about a lawncare business and call them for their services. 4. After telling my account manager or whatever his role was about how I hated the site and giving him ideas of e commerce sites and templates, I felt good because he seemed to understand me. He said he has NEVER DONE an E Commerce site. WHAT?! He said he'd give the new ideas to the website builder people and I'd have a great site. They came back to me with an EVEN WORSE site. At that point, I was over it. Told them I wanted my money back and that I'd do it myself. 5. They refuse to give me my total amount back. They only want to give me 2 months back. At this moment, I just want that money back but guess what? It's been 7 days and I haven't even heard from them about a refund. In conclusion, Don't use them. They say anything to get your money and then leave you with outdated looking sites. They may know a thing or two about SEO but there are a myriad of companies that'll value your service and hard earned money than this place. read more

My husband and I own a moving company and have put our blood sweat and tears into building a reputable business... and collection reviews over the years was a big part of our focus. We had 60+ reviews on Google and were #1 in our area organically. Town Square Interactive made us so many promises and not only did they not deliver but they single handedly shut down our Google listing by claiming we had a second location that was actually our home and mailing address. Not only did we not authorize this but the act of activating this location wiped us off Google all together along with all of our hard work...Ever time we called they told us they were working on it. Two months went by and they made us promise after promise that the reviews would be restored and that they were working directly with Google. Finally we said "ENOUGH" and canceled. Through this process we called google ourselves just to find out that Townsquare interactive NEVER even opened a claim with them or tried to recover our reviews. I used TS for 5 months for SEO services and received ZERO calls. My sales rep, Nate Vigil, was fine in terms of keeping in contact and giving me the company line about how things were going to improve but, in the end, I received ZERO calls. Finding new clients, of course, is what the service is supposed to be all about. I have used 2 other SEO companies and both delivered potential client contacts. Finally, TS is bothering me about paying the last month charge because I cancelled one day late -- I don't think so. I've been really uncertain about giving my business to this business so I told the representative "Austin" that I needed sometime to think it over, which he did. 4 weeks later he calls me to see if I made up my mind which I then told him I will have to pass due to all the negative reviews I see on yelp against them. He then tells me that yelp has it out against them so that is why all the negative reviews are showing.... He then attempted to down talk my business saying that I'm not even showing up on Google and so forth. I then told him that sorry but I'm not interested, then he said "WHATEVER" and that was the end of that phone call. I was called to have my website redesigned for SEO. They have a great presentation that outlines what they do. They made it a point to let me know that the hosting was month to month and I could leave at any time if they were not performing to what they said they would do. My concern is that if I were to leave, would the site I paid them to create still be mine. They said yes. The content would still be my property. All good then! A rep called and we spoke at length about my needs and expectations. The website launched in a timely manner. However the site was nothing like we discussed. I waited another week while they got everything up to standard. They were professional and indeed my SEO rankings raised to second for my city. I had a phone line attached to this site and only this site to measure the conversion to appointments. In six weeks time, my phone did not ring once. Not even B2B calls! Crazy I know... So I decided for whatever reason, my business did not benefit the high cost of their service. If my phone would have had just a single call, I would have had something to hold onto. Unfortunately I just could not justify the expense. I let them know the news. They were professional and understanding. So why the one star review? Because indeed I have the content of the site. However- they don't tell you that the site is built with their proprietary software so it cannot be hosted by my original company I left or any other company, leaving the site useless. So now I am out 2 sites that I paid for- my original and the one they created. That's a total of $3000 invested with nothing to show for it. I am going to have to create a site myself, (which wont nearly be as nice). Maybe they will do a good job for you. Me? I'm screwed! The worst investment I ever made!! To me they lied by omission. Absolutely terrible. They called last Friday and asked if I was the business owner who set up Home Advisor. I told the representative yes and then he proceeded to tell me that he was surprised that I was a business owner and then hung up. How incredibly rude. I also received a call today from them, a representative named Victor, who again, asked if I was the business owner who set up Home Advisor. I told him yes and he immediately hung up on me. I've tried calling back but it just goes to his voicemail. If this is Townsquare's way of trying to get business then I suggest a change. read more

Townsquare Interactive reached out to me last year regarding my business website and listing, I at that time told them to call back in a few months because I was interested but didn't have the time to look into them. I had a representative reach out again about two weeks ago and at that time I told her that I was no longer interested as one of my customers that I had actually does this on the side and helped me take care of all the issues for a fraction of the cost. The representative informed me that nothing was fixed and that it still needed work, I knew that alot of what she was saying was a lie but said to call back in a few weeks so I could talk to the person currently handling this for me. After talking to the current person handling my information, everything was confirmed to be a sales tactic and that there were some things being said that they don't have access to unless I give them access so the majority was just lies and tactics. Today I received another follow up call and I politely declined saying I was sticking with my current person. The representative again said everything is incorrect and a punch of red flags and she can get me on the front page of google. I told her I know it isn't incorrect because I had it fixed and have the reports to show it was all fixed, and told I can't afford to pay the amount to get past the first page of google due to all the other companies that pay for the ad space on the first page (I did a search with her on the phone and told her that there was only one company that wasn't marked as an ad that was on the first page). Again I said I would like to move on but she refused to listen trying to continue the sale. I asked to be removed from any calling list to which she kept trying to get "30 more seconds" by now I am agitated and told her that them not listening to me will no longer ever get my service because it shows to me that they won't listen down the road when it counts and again asked to be removed - she wouldn't, I then asked to speak to a manager and after a round about of her continuing to try I said "either removed me or give me a manager to speak to" she hung up. I will never / and have never done business with people, or companies, that try to push me to do what they want and don't listen. Also if there are any lies that I dig up or find out, that company will never get my business and they did everything to lose any hope of my business. In fact, what they primarily delivered via SEO were solicitations from other advertisers claiming that they could improve my SEO. I told them that several thousand dollars with no tangible benefit was enough of a track record upon which to base my decision. We hired TownSquare Interactive to increase our organic presence in the search engines. From the very start, the communication was simply nonexistent. When we didn't show interest in their services, they kept calling with more and more attractive discounts. Once they had our Credit Card, we barely heard from them. They made promises they later could not fulfill and gave a 90 day guarantee they refused to honor. We recorded our status the day we hired TownSquare Interactive and again once we gave notice of cancellation, and TownSquare Interactive has done next to nothing for our company's online presence. For anyone considering hiring this company, understand that you will not be dealing with the person selling you the services after your initial agreement, and the tech tasked with providing you with these services, will not honor what the sales team promises. Ask yourself this; are you willing to give your company's password and sensitive information to a group of people that represent their business and services like a scam? If TownSquare Interactive is willing to treat a paying customer like this, how are they going to treat a customer that cancels their services, while they still have access to your entire online presence? What will the repercussions of a bad review be? We were willing to risk a few hundred dollars to see if TownSquare Interactive could positively change our organic online presence, and we would have been ignorant not to continue a relationship with a company that could provide these services successfully, even with their horrible communication... but TownSquare Interactive failed on every level and only proved to take our money with absolutely no services received. Should anyone like to see transcripts of communications, emails and monthly reports regarding our experience with TownSquare Interactive, please feel free to contact us... even the monthly reports they send out, are 90% incomplete; we informed them of their extremely inaccurate reports the first month, and they continued in every report, every month after... no change, even after bringing their shortcomings to the representatives attention; again, absolutely no effort on their part. Can you imagine how monetarily lucrative a business could be, by simply requesting all your paying clients be patient for at least 90 days before canceling services? You could find 1000 suckers and never have to actually do anything other than simply make a few phone calls, speak empty promises and reel them in... sounds like the true definition of 'scam'. Once TownSquare Interactive agrees in writing, they will not use our company's sensitive information that they have received, to access any of our accounts, to defame or negatively impact our company in any way, as well as refund our monies, we will consider editing our review and/or remove it from all online forums. So, Town Square called me a few months ago and the pitch was just what we were looking for to get our business noticed. It took 3 tries to get our website to look somewhat presentable but still did not have the photos and layout we asked for. Fast forward a little while we made the decision to cancel our services and asked about getting our domain transferred back to us...crickets on that end for a few days and then we finally received a phone call. Of course, I let them talk me into downgrading us and was told that someone would call me to discuss a game plan. Crickets again so we sent an email to cancel our services and stop all billing. To my surprise, I logged into our site today (emailed them yesterday 1/8) and our site was gone. No phone call, no email, just a missing site. So now my customers will try to go to our site and they will not find us. Now they are messing with our business. In the few months we were with them, not 1 single phone call or inquiry. They kept telling me that my site was ranking and we were in the third spot on Google. I guess they forgot that I could check that myself and we were definitely NOT in the third spot. I will be contacting the BBB and definitely will be leaving more reviews in as many places as I can. read more

The most out of touch company I've dealt with. My business closed during the pandemic. Doors shut. They told they'd work with me in order to maintain my business. This is how they worked with me. They took all the past due balance in one debit days after a payment arrangement was arranged. After my disbelief they told me it was a "systems error." They have a no refund policy...gee I'm shocked. So they agreed to give me two months grace going forward. Fantastic. They then charged me again. Today I get a call asking why I left them in some misguided "were sorry, can you come back" ploy. This is how they'll be during a pandemic. This is how they'll be in normal times.
