Calling Heather at River City was a total game changer. After meeting with her she quickly developed a game plan and a very large estate was cleared within a few weeks. Heather is respectful, caring, communicative, honest and flexible, just super easy to work with. She is also resourceful and has lots of contacts and connections. This helped get buyers to the sale and also made the clean out process efficient and easy. I am very pleased with the amount of money we were able to generate from the sale, but more importantly I feel confident that I did the best I could for my family when I contracted with River City. Being a remote home owner whom inherited an Davis estate suddenly, having someone who is both careful and understanding to try to rehome vs trash out my aunt's prized but mundane possessions is very comforting. The other vendors weren't bad at all they just lacked the time, insurance (omg!) Coverage, or personal touch that Pam and her team are pitching. I did not sign the part in the contract where she states I would have to pay a 3rd party to remove whatever was over 75 lbs. that didn't sell. I did file a small claims case against her but the judge postponed the trial because I didn't know I had to upload my evidence in advance (over 50 pictures of my things in her consignment booth). I was out of the area and couldn't make the new court date so it was never tried. The judge did not rule in her favor. She is a pathological liar whose MO is to scam vulnerable, elderly people.

The sales are always well organized, and there is enough staff to assist. The prices are very fair, not cheap, but appropriate. Go on a Sunday, and everything is usually 50%. My husband and I seek their sales out. I have recently bought a lot of essential household items for my son, who just moved into his first home by himself. :) I feel they handle the items/property respectfully, while still keeping their clients best interest in mind. I won't mention who they are. No need to divide. Kind message for this company we know you have to dispose of many items at the end, if someone is spending in good faith why not give them a tiny discount once in a while? Unless you have a store to fill. Idk if this is the case but it is food for thought.
