Update: They got back to me via email and stated that they were having staffing issues. Last week…read moreon Wednesday in these emails, I was told that a MRI on additional area could not be scheduled at this time because while they had the order from my doctor it had not been authorized by my insurance. I had a MRI today for a different area. The technician that performed my MRI was great and used plenty of humor to help make the time go by. Five star experience on the actual MRI. On my way out the door, I stopped at the desk and asked the receptionist if there was an update available on where my approval was at for the other MRI area. It had been approved by my insurance. Rayus had not contacted me at all to let me know it was approved or get me scheduled - they have my email and text. When they checked me in, they made zero mention of it. I just happened to find out because I asked about it. Their administration side of things is just bad.

The woman at the front desk yesterday afternoon/early evening was incredibly rude and dismissive…read more My husband came down with paper orders for an MRI immediately following his appt and tried to explain that we do not need prior authorization. The woman at reception immediately shut him down (after being seemingly dumbfounded that we would even ask for such a thing), refused to even double check with our specific plan, and as a result he wasn't able to get an MRI with Rayus in a timeline that our insurance absolutely does allow. Obviously if surgery is needed we want that to happen as soon as possible. We reached out to our insurance immediately after this experience and our personal advisor with our insurance confirmed that this woman at Rayus was, in fact, completely wrong and we did not need a prior authorization because of an agreement that our insurance has with Rayas. This has the potential to actually cause harm to patients who may need something stat and are unable to get it based on over-confidence and an unwillingness to consider that patients may know their own healthcare plans and the requirements needed for different services. It never hurts to take two minutes to double check, but she acted like our very existence was an annoyance from the moment we walked in the doors. We fortunately were able to schedule with a different radiology organization for today, as they had zero issue actually looking at our specific plan to confirm what we knew--no prior authorization is needed. Then we were able to schedule a follow up dr. appt for the day that this employee was first allowing us to schedule the MRI; this demonstrates that she would have delayed him getting medical attention from his doctor by over one week for no reason at all. Not only is this not great for patient care/health, but it also ended up in losing us as a client and the revenue that would bring into Rayus. I would imagine that our insurance has a specific agreement with Rayus to waive prior authorizations in order to avoid experiences like we just had. I hope that there is some retraining that will be done on how to interact with people, what is actually required on different healthcare plans, and how to quickly double check requirements rather than the immediate "I know more than you" approach we got. Many of us actually know our healthcare plan requirements (despite the assumption that we are clueless) but even if we didn't, there would have been much better ways to handle this interaction that wouldn't have us leaving and commenting about how rude she was/that we may not want to go here anyway. My husband tried to call today to cancel our appt and explain that the information we got was wrong, but after being on hold for over 15 minutes he hung up. Based on the reviews, it seems like we aren't the only ones that she has left a negative impression on.

I had my initial visit with Dr. Noh, then they called me and scheduled another visit, but instead of with the doctor, it was to be seen by the nurse practitioner. I have had care by practitioners in the past and I have not had even one good result. Every medical issue addressed by the practitioners previously, were never resolved. They schedule appointment after appointment to generate revenue and do not treat anyone properly. After 3 years and no end results, I dropped that service. I stressed this concern with the doctors office and they shrugged it off like it was no big concern for them. So, I went to see her and she put in a request for treatment from my insurance company. I was told that it would possibly take up to 2 weeks to hear back from them. So, I waited and waited. After 4 months, I sent an email asking why it was taking so long. I was told that sometimes the insurance company's get busy and take a little longer to reply. So, I waited another week, messaged again and received no reply back. I messaged 3 additional times and still not reply. It has now been over a year since then and today, I received a letter fro Dr. Noh's office that stated that their records show I was due to have a follow up visit, and to please contact them to schedule a visit. What I am confused about is how they have records that I am due for a follow up visit when I did not receive any type of treatment from them. So, there is nothing to follow up for. I am seriously spooked about this because of the incompetence regarding this issue. They should not have any records in my file as to treatment because I received not at all. So, did they treat someone else and log it in my file, or what?? Thank god, they forgot to administer my treatment because no telling what the outcome or dangers would be for that, considering that they completely failed to keep my records in order and do not know that I was not treated. I do not tolerate such incompetence, especially when it concerns my health and well being. Not to mention that I have been forced to wait another year with my condition worsening daily. I just thank god that I did not need surgery, because that quite possibly could have been even more dangerous. I do not ever plan to return to Dr. Noh's care. Or non-care! Wendy

One of them was for my insomnia, what they gave me almost turned me into a zombie for a few hours - unable to sleep but totally unable to function beyond breathing. The other two I haggled with them for years to get right. It took YEARS of constantly calling them to get them to give me full bottles instead of bottles with just a few pills in them. For a long time they would still force me to renew prescriptions in-person every time I finished off a bottle. When I finally get them to do it over fax via the pharmacy it takes WEEKS!!! The renewal request is just sitting on a desk for weeks at a time! Finally my prescription insurer kept trying to reach out to them so that my renewals would be fully covered. For a long time I was paying mostly out of pocket for my bottles without even realizing it and this was totally avoidable. I've been paying HUNDREDS that I didn't need to pay! These idiots wouldn't even acknowledge that this was their responsibility even when the insurer was telling me that they needed the doctor's approval and have been unsuccessfully trying to reach him! My previous doctor: 1) Made sure I had full bottles without asking 2) Made sure I only had to renew my prescription annually without asking 3) Made sure my insurer was fully covering without asking The only reason I switched was because that once a year I had to drive up to the UW campus of my previous doctor whereas Multicare is a stone throw from where I live. Instead of fixing their BS they told me well if I have a problem I can just go somewhere else. You bet I will, screw these assholes. And to name names Dr. Jonathan Novotney stay far far away from this clown.
