First time ever I have been refused by an RV park in my entire life and many many years on the road! I was driving a Roadtrek Class B Motorhome when I stopped by. Woman in the office came out and told me no vans allowed. I did not see any signs around there saying that and though my motorhome is built BY THE FACTORY on a van base, it is NOT A VAN! It is a fully self-contained Class B motorhome with stove, fridge, sink, 3 beds, furnace, air conditioning, AC and DC power, black and gray tanks, water tank, and bathroom. It also has the RVIA tag on it verifying it is in fact an RV. After some arguing over these facts, she whipped out the old "10 year rule" claiming they have it despite once again no signs in sight while I saw an older trailer staying there that quite clearly is older than 10 years. So much for telling the truth. Someone needs to explain the difference between a van and an RV to them. For now, no Class Bs allowed. Ridiculous. Went down the road to a much nicer, fancier park and they were very glad to have me stay with them. read more

This little gem is owned by the lovliest married couple whom I cannot say enough great things about. They are so helpful, accommodating, and keep the park very clean and tidy. What type of space rental is the most time I can live in the park? I am looking for a longterm period for my RV to be in.

Lot isall small rocks cover the ground. No real grass nearby. The managers are so friendly. We were here in mid Oct and it's not crowded.very nice. read more

I was put at the front by a dead end road, with a razor wire concrete fence on the other side of the road, backed up to a trashy, scary junkyard/construction (I WISH I could post a picture, it certainly isn't as advertised to be VERY gentle about it.). And there was ZERO lighting. I am a woman alone - of all people to put in that kind of situation. I very nicely asked if I could move to a new spot but was told no, and no refunds- and they were more concerned that since I did not feel safe, I had my lights (inside and out) on all night the first night. They are VERY VERY RUDE. I was told I'd be thrown out if I left my lights on, frightened or not. I have been a full-timer for nearly 2 years, and this is at least my 15th RV park to visit. NEVER have I given below a 4 rating...and that place flooded! But there is NO excuse for how I was treated here. NONE. They genuinely don't care if you feel unsafe, even with good reason. I have never been treated so shabbily in at least 15 RV stops. NEVER EVER AGAIN. Worst place I have ever stayed. Some people should not work with the public, and this guy is one of them. My wife and I went to Tucson for medical treatment and found that Tratel and their website were very misleading. The pictures are old and dated, do not reflect the actual conditions of the park. Staring with; there are no public phones or soda machines on the property. The comfy recliners in the club house do not exist, the club house is dirty and dated. There is a library of old VHS movies but no player in the club house to watch any. There are no private shower/bathroom areas for men, it is a community room that is barely surfaced cleaned. Check the coffee can in the back stall holding the plunger. Why can't this can be replaced so that the build up of fecal matter could be removed? The mop bucked is left full with dirty water to give an allusion that cleaning has been done. The women's bathrooms are private, but have a growth of cobwebs behind the doors and a mountain a hand soap on the floor between the wall and sink. Also the water temperature control in the showers is iffy, be ready to jump from the scald or freeze as the laundry room cycles change. The landscaping is slowly being neglected until dead and torn out, not to be replaced. This is giving the property a more and more desolate look. Thank goodness for space #9, they have given so much care to their space it should be the standard to the owners of how nice the park could and should look. The picturesque field for walking your dog, is actually a literal dump. Any landscaping debris generated by the park is dumped in piles. Various construction companies also use the area to dump their construction debris, so beware of nails and other sharp objects. The city has dumped piles of road construction debris in the area. Not to mention the thousands of piles of dog droppings that are never picked up, in or out of the park. Parvo waiting to happen. Also there is a large population of homeless people living under trees and shrubs around the property, which makes for unsafe walks at night. The so called Wi-Fi even after upgrades was spotty at best. More down time and frustration than consistent connection. Was not always able to conduct business transactions without going to the library a couple miles away. The pool area has lots of cement missing from the cool decking. Inside rim of pool has lost chunks of cement, is in need drastic repairs. Black algae is growing on the walls of the pool. The high level of chemicals will leave crystals on whatever you have taken into the pool. Overheard another guest's child asked the manager Kathy "why is the water green?" Her response was "oh, no the water is blue. The laundry facilities left stains and powdery residues on any load washed. Also no climate control in the laundry area so it was a miserable place to be if the day was warm. The quiet that is suggested is drowned out by the sound of a very busy train track and constant 24 hour construction schedule. No such thing as a ten o'clock time ordinance. The odor from the sewage treatment plant is frequent if the wind blows southeast, if the wind blows north west you get the UofA ag dept. feet lot smells. If there is no breeze at all then it's nice. We found the manager Jerry to be very kind soft spoken. However, Kathy seemed to be more than one person, nice to your face and then quite different when she starts telling stories to other tenants. Quote from Kathy " I don't have any friends here, that way my feelings don't get hurt when I have to evict them." Also her having knowledge that the majority of RVers fully enjoy nature, she stated to us that she hates "treehuggers", feels the earth is hers to use and burn as needed. Hates "birdfeeders", not the things that hold seed, but the people that fill them. She has stated that she wished the Canadians would stay in their own country. Several long term residents had made it known that although she has no tolerance for drunks or drunkenness out and about on the property, she is rarely available or helpful after 2:00 pm due to her own drinking habits. Alcohol has been smelt in the office on several occasions when she has been present. LORD help you if you get injured on the property, management will not come to your rescue not even to make a call to 911. In December of 2011 an elderly gentleman fell off his RV and shattered his ankle. When management was notified, stated it was not their problem, refused to render any assistance. Perhaps the owners should recognize that this management team has passed their prime. It's time for a much more capable team to bring back the quality reflected in the pictures on the website. Had we been in Tucson for reasons other than medical or having means to afford a more expensive/nicer park we would have moved much sooner. Not put up with so much disrespect from service industry personnel whose very livelihood relies on RVers of all kinds to pay their rent and salary. read more
