Husband and I took a trip to Tucson, AZ. Had booked a space in another camp ground and when we arrived it was a hell hole. We were panicking cause it was last minute thought. Called one place and there was no answer. Then I called South Forty RV Ranch. Jack answered and welcomed us to come over. He was waiting for us at the entrance with two cold bottles of water and a huge smile. I felt so blessed. He checked us in and gave us a warm welcome. Jack escorted us to our sight, which is wonderful to us instead of guessing where is our site. Let me tell you something... I never have been greeted this way. Normal the manager or security guard levee our paper work in a box at office or just checks you as if you are bothering them. Jack was amazing. We arrived to our site and he got helped us into our site. Now that is service!!! Our site was clean and spacious. Well we took our pups for a walk and the place was so clean. People there were so nice. That evening you could see security driving around and keeping an eye on the grounds. I am definitely returning. I would highly recommend this place. We were greeted by other members of the park and they were so nice. We left for a few hours to visit with friends and we felt our RV was safe. I come down to Tucson for the Champions Tour Golf Tournament a.k.a. the Colorguard Classic the last week of February every year to see my man Mark O'Meara put the ball in flight at this event. Normally, I stay in a hotel; however, this year I chose to bring the RV. This RV park is closer than most of the hotels just 4 miles from the 1st Tee at the Omni Tucson National Golf Course. If you have never stayed here and you read the reviews you find on Social Media about this place, you feel like you're taking your chances posting up here; therefore, I arrived here with a bit of hesitation. But to each his own! Personally, I found this place to be a true winner‼ While I arrived mid afternoon, the camp host (Tom) escorted me via golf cart to my site. With his direction and experience in this park, I got lined up perfectly. The next day I went and met the Office Staff who had already checked out at 3 PM the day before. I met all the people on the team and found each of them to be wonderful people. And because I am a Veteran, I also received a generous discount. This place is clean, it is well-maintained, with nice amenities! All the people I have met have been just wonderful. It's too hot in the summer to stay here but you'll meet all kinds of snowbirds staying here if you're in the camp from late September to May. And I would say to all my friends who are members of the Champions PGA Tour to consider staying here during your weeklong visit for this Tour event! Your Luxury Class A's will fit here nicely in this 55+ Park. It's QUIET! The beauty is you will only be 4 miles from the Course! BOOK EARLY! July is too late! Very friendly staff. Clean park. Nice mixture of permanent and temporary units. Pool, laundry, common spaces all well maintained.

I am very pleased with Meg and all her staff. I had a family emergency and needed to be near the hospital up the road. I called and explained my situation and was able to pull my toy hauler in. The staff there made me feel right at home and were very professional for the entire week I was there. I just want to say thank you to all the staff at the South Forty. I would recommend this RV park to anyone who does not have issues with following the rules. I found this place to be very clean and the staff to be pleasant and easy to talk too. Again THANK YOU! South Forty the new Party park in Tucson with 24 hour pool and never ending party. There seems to be no rules and no cares in this park the new owners seem to want nothing but a Giant party place were your dogs and your kids can run free. IM not sure why they even have a staff because no one seems to know what there doing or even care. stay far far away from this park. read more

This place was fantastic! The staff made sure that we got to our spot safely and even checked on us again the following day. They even made sure we got all the discounts possible. The park is very clean and our spot was much wider than at many RV parks. The night-time security guards even had treats for my dogs! It is super easy access to I-10 with shopping within walking distance. read more

We checked in about 4 pm and had to call a number for after hour check-in. Apparently they shut the office at noon. A nice couple showed almost immediately and did the paperwork for a three night stay. It was obvious that they were workcampers and fairly new at it. We got shown to our site as all RVs must have an escort to and from their assigned site. Once hooked up we were enjoying the evening until we lost power about 6 pm. I checked all my breakers and then went to their box and found the 50A breaker frozen and was unable to move it either way. My cord was long enough to reach the site next to me so I plugged in, The next morning I went to the office to let them know what happened and the yelling began! No apology, no we're sorry. Nothing but "you can't do that" "how dare you" etc., etc. When I tried to explain that the only employee I knew about would have been unable to fix the problem I was told "we have 24 hours to get back to you" and "you must move immediately". At this point some cowboy dude comes out of the office points at me and says "you can just leave my park". I told him I had an appointment and would move when I returned. When I returned at 5 PM there was a new 50A breaker in the box. We had already decided that we would check out a day early due to the rudeness of the owners. The next morning my wife went to the office to check out while I finished un-hooking. While on the road my wife looked at the bill and found they charged us for three days, not two. She called and was told "that's what it is, whatever was on the check-in sheet is what you pay". When we checked in, I told workcampers two or three days. He said lets put down three, if you leave early, no problem. read more

Very clean and well maintained RV park. We originally planned for an overnight stay, however due to our tow vehicle having mechanical problems we had to extend our stay an extra 2 nights. The management and campground hosts were very understanding and accomidating. They made our stressful situation much more bearable. My thanks to everyone responsible for our pleasant stay. read more

This park WAS a great place to stow an RV until recent months! We feel that a management change has caused them to be officious and unpleasant. As another reviewer indicated, the front staff previously were incredibly helpful and friendly. Something changed and they are now the polar opposite. Their storage places are great for most RVs. They give you a reserved spot and then make you check in when returning the vehicle. You have to wait for an escort to go back to your assigned space! This is not the case in other storage units. I would have less of a problem if a simple notification was required -- but, the escort is just nuts! Find someplace else if you go in and out regularly, is my advice! read more

Horrific experience. I will try to keep this story short but one every needs to be aware of. Was staying at campground, they pack you in like sardines, had my girlfriend came to visit with her 9 year old boy. (we are not kids 62 & 36, ont drink and no drugs) I mention this because often I wonder "what the rest of the story was". We made some homemade pizza and enjoyed a movie until around 9:30pm. She left to get boy in bed for school. I get a phone call 30 minutes later from her in tears and very upset. Evidently, she made a wrong turn leaving the park and was going the wrong way on one of their home made streets. She heard screaming and yelling and stopped because she thought something had happened. She rolled down the window and a man identifying himself as the park manager started yelling and cursing at her. She explained she was lost and just trying to find her way out. The man was out of control, berating her, screaming, dropping f-bombs, demanding she give him her drivers liscence, completely out of control, all with her child terrified as she was. Several of his friends surrounded her car, mind you it was dark and his Camp Counselor polo shirt and behavior made her feel very unsafe. I heard this story and immediately walked up and found the group, once I established this bozo was the one who spoke to women and children this way, I proceeded to see if he was a s brave with me. As you may have guessed, he was not and now wanted to call the police. I was asked to leave the park by the police in the middle of the night. I suppose he was trying to impres his friends with his importance by yelling at a terrified woman and child. Sorry I shook his persona when he literally almost urinated in his pants when confronted by someone he couldn't bully. read more

This is a great park and my wife and I really enjoy living here. However, there are some things you should be aware of. All of them regarding the Camp Host Supervisor (Bob Wagner) they have working for them. I have been in the Custer Service industries for 50 years and I have never seen anyone in the position he has treat people the way he does. Not only the volunteers he was working for him but the guests you have staying at your park. During my time here I have become good friends with the employees and Camp Hosts you have there. They have talked about the way he treats people, again both volunteers but guests. I have heard and seen him berate his volunteers publicly, in front of guests and fellow employees. When he does so he does not admonish them in a normal tone of voice but constantly raises his voice and he is never wrong. During my years in the industry anyone who behaved this way would not be working for me for very long. Another issue is that he has the same temperament and manner when dealing with the public, including guests, visitors and delivery people. If he catches anyone going the wrong way or "speeding" he doesn't just advise them that they are going the wrong way or too fast. He is immediately confrontational and raises his voice, which usually results in arguments. I realize that there are rules that need to be obeyed for every bodies safety and there is not a problem with this. It is just the way he handles these matters. I have personally witnessed him confronting a long time 80 year old guest by getting into her face screaming at her and calling her a liar. This is totally unacceptable and uncalled for. A decent human would not treat a person this way much less an 80 year old woman. There are guests that are leaving and will not come back because of him. You also have some great volunteers that are quitting because of him. From what I have been told, heard and personally witnessed this man should not be employed in any position that deals with the public and especially in any kind of a supervisory position. He is just law suit waiting to happen. I don know why he acts this way but he has the classic characteristic a "Little Mans Syndrome". Something needs to be done about him and soon before there are any law suits or physical altercations due to his actions. read more

Paid for year but bailed with 4 1/2 months remaining because of terrible management. Takes a lot of good reasons to give that up. 5mph speed limit lowered from 10mph with stop signs. You shouldn't be driving if you can't see a problem at 5 or 10mph. 2.4 miles from sewage plant with smelly predominant winds.Very close to one of the busiest East/West train tracks in the country. Trains will make you turn up the volume on your TV. 5am trains sound like they're in the park. Management shuts off planned water outages without notice during 7am rush hour. Management post planned utility outages on office door but deliver "DoNotFeedTheAnimals" to your door. How idiotic. Read other reviews that support these issues. Manager has a short temper with outburst and carries a gun. Very concerning for a vet who delayed lowering the flag as required. I've found them rude, short tempered and inconsiderate of residents needs unless you have an expensive RV. Remember if you buy a park model and wish to sell, you need their permission and you are competing with their business of selling models. They lowered the speed limit to 5mph for claimed safety reasons but drive their silent golf carts over 20mph at night the wrong way with their lights out. They evidently never heard the saying "Never Heard it Coming". Propane and other delivery trucks do over 15-20 mph regularly. Mail access is greatly limited. There are many horror stories like being evicted in the middle of the night and threatening eviction for complaining. I won't return. read more

The park is clean, the staff go above and beyond, but the greatest asset is the genuine friendliness of the people who stay here each winter. The one caveat is the difficulty in driving the longer RVs around some of the very tight corners and the narrow lots. read more
