As I placed my order, it indicated that the downtown store was "Next Day Pick Up". Given that I wanted to pick up as soon as possible, I selected the downtown store, even though the location is terribly inconvenient for me. Approximately 24 hours later, I called the downtown store, whom after about 25 mins on the phone with various people, told me they had no record of the purchase. Of course, I couldn't go pick up the jacket, the next day, at a location that was inconvenient, because MEC hadn't even processed the Order as of yet. Great. I called the customer service line and spoke to a male who told me "this sale has caught us completely off guard and we're overwhelmed". No kidding?? The male told me that there had been staff cutbacks this year, due to how slow it had been, but suddenly the sale has regenerated sales that have overwhelmed the existing employees Ok ... the spokesperson then told me that my jacket was in Winnipeg and had to be shipped to Edmonton! What is going on here, MEC?? You hold a Black Friday sale and you're overwhelmed??? Then my next day pick up, at this inconvenient location, is in Winnipeg??? The kicker is December 16, 2024, I received an email from MEC telling me that my order has been cancelled. My goodness. I've been a supporter of MEC for over 25 years, and have never seen such awful customer service or a absolute lack of responsibility in fulfilling an order - for that matter, I don't think I've ever had a more disappointing exchange with any store, ever, than this experience. I will never again shop at MEC. Shame on you, MEC. Not the MEC I once knew

The store was GORGEOUS and made me want to come back just to wander and look at everything. I had heard that Cabelas was famour for their fudge but really quite taken aback by the vast array of sugary delights and sweet treats they had in stock. I didn't expect an outdoor store to have a section of candy rivaling any grocery store! My toddler loved all the animals about the store - almost like walking a Smithsonian! Okay, maybe not that many but you get the idea. They even had a fudge counter where you could watch pastry chefs making fresh batches of fudge! We didn't partake in any sweet treats on this visit but rest assured... We will be back! The only negative comment I have heard from my hunting/fishing circle of friends is that they need to carry a better array of fish lures that are appropriate to the fish that can be caught both locally and throughout Alberta. My understanding is that they carried more lures for fish not found locally than found locally; but then again, what do I know?

Lots of staff nearby to help which is great. Parking here is very small for a large shop. However, I'm not sure many people are aware of this store. I also like M.E.C. & Cabela's but the attention to detail and customer assistance at Campers Billage cannot be beat! I really like their children's section for winter wear & mitts (though my heart belongs to Cabela's for their waterproof Muck boots). This is also my family's go to store for great quality waterproof sandals. The hubs & I just picked up a pair each of Keen'a covered toe sandals for our trips this summer. Dave (in shoes) couldn't have been more helpful or knowledgeable. If you've ever show shopped at Nordstrom's in the states, Dave is that quality of a salesperson. We spoke to Chris who, identified himself as being one of the owners.one of the owners. This interaction was at noon, Monday, September 9th, 2019. He took the firearms to his office & we heard him consulting with another person. After 7 minutes, he returned and offered $360 for both firearms. We inquired as to whether he would purchase the firearms individually, to which he replied "no". We declined his offer. The 270 Winchester rifle Model 70, Featherweight, was manufactured prior to 1964 and is a sought after chamber. The other firearm was a Model 12 Winchester, which is of lesser value. At South Edmonton Cabella's, we received over $1,000 for the 270 Winchester and over $250 for the shotgun. Notably, as an elderly couple, we felt discounted by P & D Enterprises.

We were looking for bikes and one of my coworkers recommended this business. The place was huge, amazing, well organized with tones of products. I asked Lindsay for help and she spent about two hours with us. I tried 6 bicycles and in the middle of that, Calvin joined and the two of them helped us. Both Lindsay and Calvin were amazing! Friendly, honest and helpful! They did any possible thing to help us finding the bikes we wanted and were suitable for our skill level, heights and weight! For me customer service is the most important factor and I received one of the best customer services here! The place was well organized, the prices were good and I'll definitely go back there again for any sports needs. It was packed with paying customers. I scanned all the shelves and displays. Nicely organized. I loved looking at the fascinators, and wished they had more. I could be talked into something with some pheasant feathers, for sure. Not sure I like the idea of 100's of people trying on the same hats. I started getting the heebie jeebies.
