The staff here are always friendly and were very helpful in helping me select a board that fit my needs. You can tell these guys ride and really know their stuff!! They had an impressive selection of gear for the upcoming season but also a good carryover from last season on sale for 40% off. I wound up going with a Burton Deep Thinker from last season, and at 40% off, I was thrilled. Easy Rider has a huge selection of snowboards, boots and bindings as well as a good selection of outer wear. They also carry some pretty specific boards for carving and backcountry that you don't see in your average shop. They also have skateboards, longboards and stand up paddle boards to cover your summer sports. This is my go-to local shop for anything skate or snowboard related!

After sharing a…read morebit about how he skis (and that he has had a few concussions from hockey), Ryan was able to narrow us down to a few helmets and fully explain the technology and differences between them. He did not start at the most expensive equipment, but asked my son a number of questions to ensure we got him the best equipment for his needs. As well, we were lined up outside at open, and I was pleased to see the attention to capacity and ensuring the right number of people were inside as per the guidelines. It's not like I was I browsing, doing my own thing. I was at these skis, trying to get someone's attention so that I could buy them. That's usually what stores want, isn't it? When I FINALLY got someone to help me, they made it clear that they weren't happy about it. In fact, they were so blatantly annoyed that they had to help me that I didn't even end up buying the skis. And I really wanted them! The only reason I'm not giving this place the lowest rating possible is because they do have great stock. They have a great selection. Unfortunately, their customer service is too bad for me to ever consider going back.

Naturally, I went to this same store two years later when my son wanted a new set up for his birthday present. The service was great (the associate indicated he actually owned the bike store upstairs) - again, he was friendly and was very patient with a mother who has no idea what she was buying. He helped me pick out new boots, bindings and board. So, why the poor review? Because less than a month later, my son's left boot was falling apart. He had used them 3 times (for about 2-3 hours each time) and he weighs a total of 60 pounds. The first associate told me that he didn't think the warranty would cover that because it was normal wear and tear. I asked to speak to the manager and it was the owner who came to talk to me. He insisted that it was deliberate damage and that they would not cover it. I showed him the receipt as I couldn't believe that their equipment wasn't even covered for 30 days. The owner was so rude about the whole thing and told my 10 year old son it was his fault the boots were falling apart (my son was devastated to be treated like he was some reckless & negligent hooligan). Even other people in the store couldn't believe that he was being so rude about it and agreed that it should at least last 30 days. And so, I will never return to this store again because they don't reasonably stand behind their equipment. I understand that you have to draw the line somewhere, but less than 30 days?? I have never been subjected to such rudeness at a store before and I will not support a store who is owned by someone who's attitude seems to be that they are doing ME a favour by owning a store. It's too bad really - the staff were all very nice and helpful and maybe the owner should take some lessons.

Because they have some amazing stuff, prices can be a bit expensive. But you are paying for quality so it's worth it in the long run. They also have great sales throughout the year. And, unlike a lot of stores, they don't mark merchandise up just to take a few dollars off and call it a sale. When they have a sale, it's legit and it's great savings. The ski tech at this store is very knowledgeable and pretty friendly too. They also have a good selection of backpacks and outdoor clothing so it's not strictly for skiers (despite the name of the store). Great store!

We were looking for bikes and one of my coworkers recommended this business. The place was huge, amazing, well organized with tones of products. I asked Lindsay for help and she spent about two hours with us. I tried 6 bicycles and in the middle of that, Calvin joined and the two of them helped us. Both Lindsay and Calvin were amazing! Friendly, honest and helpful! They did any possible thing to help us finding the bikes we wanted and were suitable for our skill level, heights and weight! For me customer service is the most important factor and I received one of the best customer services here! This program helps the staff figure out the best footwear for you, taking into consideration the analysis results, your current running/hiking lifestyle and your desires in looking for that best-matched shoe They helped me pick out my first pair of Altras to improve my running technique with my flat-footed dew-beaters The shoes look stunning and feel pretty good with a wider midsole space for my flat arches to fall on (versus falling out of my shoe on the inside of my foot). I get great service from Maria when I go there, and even when they have sales (that may be at other geographic locations) I don't mind searching the store for a pair of shoes that would be adequately awesome for my needs because I know that they only sell GOOD QUALITY shoes that will be mostly comfortable for my feet. While I am a woman who wears skirts and dresses more often than not, I am unlikely to wear uncomfortable footwear and Sole Experience carries so many styles of comfortable yet attractive footwear that I've had the pleasure of buying a good number of shoes here and have worn three of these pairs straight out of the store without needing to really break them in (unlike many of my purchases made elsewhere. While I do shop elsewhere for shoes on occasion, Sole Experience is the reason I look out for particular brands and styles and have a better understanding of what fits my feet best. Shoe purchases are never stress/worry free for me, but I've had more luck than not while shopping here, both for flats and for heeled shoes, including sporty styles and more fashionable shoes.
