I just adopted two of the sweetest, most precious little dogs from Animal Rescue Fund (ARF), and I…read morecouldn't be happier! Sharon was so helpful and kind. I spoke with her on the phone several times, and she patiently answered every one of my questions. You can tell she is a fellow animal person, and is doing this job out of love. My daughter and I drove down to Ohio from Wisconsin to pick up our newest family members. A long drive, but absolutely worth it. If you are thinking of buying a pet, please consider adopting. The conditions at puppy mills are so cruel. When I Google searched puppy breeders, I was horrified at the reviews, complaints, and videos of the cages the mothers and fathers are kept in. ARF is a no-kill shelter, so they don't euthanize rescued animals that aren't adopted. The adoption fees you pay are used to care for all the animals waiting for a forever home. I paid $500 each to adopt our two little furry friends, and I couldn't be happier. I wish I could adopt more. One last note: ARF was so much more responsive than some shelters I contacted. (One shelter has had my application for almost a month, and never got back to me.) Sharon was a breath of fresh air after that experience!

Our little dog didn't receive any pain medication after her spay and we were not aware until we read her medical record. Nor were we offered the option. She is well, and adjusting to life after the puppy mill, slowly. These adult dogs have to be led along with baby steps. Join a puppy mill survivors group. The dogs lives are worth it.

The staff at ATFPC is always very welcoming, and helpful, and my dog is always excited to be there. For anyone considering doggy daycare, my dog ALWAYS comes home from ARFPC exhausted since he's been playing all day long (they play from the time your dog arrives until 4pm) and I know they take the necessary steps to ensure all of the dog's safety. Go check out ATFPC, I promise you won't be disappointed and your pet will thank you!!

There is ample parking out front or on the side of the building. They are currently offering curbside if you'd like to stay in your car. I'm not sure anyone here would know what I'm talking about, but walking in instantly reminded me of the Agway stores in the Northeast. There is so much here. Having frequented many pet stores over the years, if this was closer to my house it would be a go -to. The inside isn't fancy, its no frills, but the staff is so nice and knowledgeable, the selection is great, and the prices are good too! Right when you walk in there is an aisle full of pet lover stuff for the owners, including shirts, posters and keychains. They have a huge selection of high quality dog foods, and even bigger selection of dog treats, tons of toys (including some unique that I've never seen), beds, leashes and more. They offer boarding, daycare, and training classes in an area behind the retail store. While I was there several people were picking up their pets. There is even some farm type items like local honey and jams. Support local and check this place out!

Completely disappointed and angry with how they have changed their Baker's Dozen Rewards Program…read more Instead of rewarding you your "free" bag of pet food immediately, you now have to wait a month or more for it to show up in the mail, on a flyer, so anyone can steal it. When I spoke with someone at the store, they said that once a month, corporate mails out all the rewards they have for that month. Really? Then, you get an email that says "Your free bag is on the way"! (Well, not really on the way because you're given a window of 30 days for it to arrive) 30 days for something to be mailed by a company with 32 locations in Ohio, Kentucky, and Indiana? When we contacted "corporate" to let them know we hadn't received our certificate, they said they'd send out another free certificate right away. One week later, when we called to find out why we still hadn't received our certificate, we were told they can't just send out another one, as the company they are using can't print out just one certificate at a time, we'd have to wait another month for the next batch of certificates to be printed and mailed. Our expected delivery date: April 13th. Logged onto the system last night and now it's April 24th for the dog food, May 2nd for the cat food. To make it even more confusing, if you buy a large bag for a the price of a small bag, you get credited only for the small bag in your Baker's Dozen Account. So after a while you'll have credit for some small bags, some large bags, and you're that much further away from getting to your 13th free bag. So even though I bought large bags of cat food at a discounted price, I'm only going to be credited for 1 small free bag of cat food. I've talked with other friends who shop there and are having the same exact problem. Sorry Jack's...whoever sold you on the idea of making your customers wait more than a month to receive something "free" based on being diligent, dedicated customers, probably has cost you those same diligent, dedicated customers. Can't you just email a certificate?
