I love bringing my dog here! They are so personable regardless of who is working the counter when I…read morego. They are very knowledgeable and not pushy at all. I usually buy the locally made frozen dog food. I didn't take a photo of it but you can tell through the packaging it's all natural ingredients. Just a quick heat up in the microwave, then use it as a topper. My dog loves it and it's nice to give him a variety. They have natural ice cream that has probiotics and even my cat likes it. The dog food brands they have are carefully picked out - natural and truly grain free - so may be on the pricier side but at least you know they are quality products. They gave us some samples to see if my dog will eat it (he gets very excited over this new food). They also keep up with recalls. Overall if you are looking to buy a fish don't rely on them if you want them to live long. Living with dead fish in the tank lowers their lifespan. And my family, family including the furry members (Benny, Bella, Oliver). The three of them have me wrapped around their little paws. There is nothing I would not do for them. And so yes, I spoil them. The best food, treats, toys, bed, etc. They get it all. Even keep cold water in their bowl during the summer months. So when it comes to a place to shop I can't just hope for the best. And the team, they have to love my furry ones almost as much as I do. I don't care if you ignore me or never ask my name. But you best be getting down on their level and telling them how amazing they are and asking if they want a treat (of course the answer is always yes). And here, it happens every time. It doesn't matter if it's a slow day and I'm the only customer or there's an adoption event and the place is packed; my crew gets acknowledged. Over the years I have come for extra stuff like ear wipes and CBD treats (side note: those things work!). Of course the wall of toys is always a stop. And if I have questions or need further explanation on something, they are there to help. Oh yeah, they also delivery! Like to your front door so you don't even have to get off the sofa delivery. I called the business on a Saturday right when they opened to see if I could bring in about 15-20 fish from my tank as it's too overcrowded and I couldn't go during the week and the guy on the phone said no ma'am, which is understandable but I just wanted to ensure there was no way they could accommodate to my circumstances and a man in the background screamed out did she not hear you the first time? I get it they get busy on the weekends, but unfortunately I work all week and can't make it during their business hours. Extremely annoyed with their service but unfortunately I won't really be able to go anywhere else, and they know that too... it's a shame.

They have costumes (yes, we bought one for Halloween) and sweaters (of course they needed one for the holiday pictures). With all the customers in the CSRA that come through this store why is it that they only have one register open? Each time I've visited I've stood in a line 15+customers deep!!! Utterly ridiculous! Customer in front of me said she placed an order for pickup over hour ago. It's still saying they're working on it on the app. So now she's in line buying it and canceling order! They definitely need to do better! Two good things the cashier once I reached the register destination was very nice and she told me that they match most store prices except Amazon. Good to know!

I have a short list of people I would do anything for. I say this because it also applies to four furry members of our family as well. Oscar, Benny, Bella, and now Charlie (recent addition) nap and snore with ease as they know I will keep them safe and fed at all cost. So any care and love shown to them is indirectly shown to me. Thus the reason for this review. Our previous grooming suddenly closed. As someone who is not about to attempt clipping toenails aside from my own and with a senior who needs monthly haircuts, this was a crisis. I had visited Woof Gang a few times when they were at their former location, but not since they had moved in front of Fresh Market. It was too vital to entrust this process to online only so I stopped by in person. The team was friendly, helpful, and very patient with my questions. I was still a little nervous as I pulled into the parking lot with the crew, but it was due to me being over worrisome. When the three of them (Charlie had not yet joined us) came out for pick up I almost had tears welling up in my eyes. They were the cutest trio you have ever seen. The haircuts and trims were perfect and the bandanas they were wearing made it a spontaneous photo session. But then along came Charlie. This guy is a senior hospice foster, which means we will love him until he passes in the days/weeks ahead. The shelter labeled him a Shih Tzu, but the groomer thought him to be a Brussels Griffon (the breed Ewoks in the Star Wars movie are modeled after). The grooming was right. When they brought him out he was the most handsome little old Ewok/man you have ever seen. They had cleaned away the matted fur and overgrown nails. All he needed was a cardigan sweater and a pipe. I am deeply grateful to not only have a groomer in place, but one where the team sincerely loves dogs, and most importantly my dogs.

I first started going to Lazy Creek when my husband and I started dating over 14yrs ago and he lived just a couple miles away, but after we moved to Gilbert (actually closer to Lexington), I started getting our pet supplies from stores in Lexington on my way home from work. It wasn't until I was running errands in Batesburg and stopped back in Lazy Creek that I met the wonderful ladies who have been keeping this hometown store running the last few years. After seeing their love for animals and genuine kindness towards their customers, I started making biweekly trips to Batesburg again JUST to buy supplies from these wonderful people! The products are great quality too. When a distributor was no longer going to carry the Colorado Hemp Honey that I give my elderly dachshund for his arthritis pains each night, Victoria found one so that they could continue to provide such a great product for us (their loyal customers)! I know it would've been MUCH easy for her to just stop carrying it, but she knew that I really needed it for my 18yr old pup. I can't thank her and Halley enough for the years of blood, sweat and tears they've put into providing the BEST for those of us who live in this rural area.
