We came in and saw cute lil piggies and ferrets. More in the store you see puppies (very pricey, some were $2300), bunnies, reptiles and fish. Took him to Appalachian Animal Hospital there in Morristown sure enough Naynay was very sick. I took him till he was better had all his vaccines. Trained him became a licensed service animal. We became best friends went everywhere together I loved him like no other taught him colors, how to count, Spanish even. So amazingly smart, easy going, last few months he started showing signs of Cushing disease it was breaking my heart I researched it no cure, tryed everything to try keep him comfortable, took him to a vet locally for blood test anything to help me. Everywhere I took Naynay couldn't or wouldn't even see him. Then the unthinkable my brother 2d one this year was in Hospital heartache. Naynay and I packed left that evening headed to California, 58 hours it took driving. We were 1 1/2 hrs late we list him... then headed to my mommas stayed 1 night left 12am headed to Pahrump NV, I had lived there 15 years surely a vet would see him hit Pahrump 9am stopped at first vet big fat no try this place hit every vet Naynay was in trouble needed a salin iv something I knew he was in big trouble nobody would listen. Advice was all they would give call 8 am they said I said he wouldn't make it till 8 am. I held my baby boy till he took his last breath last heart beat I kissed his little head cried lived you so very much my baby boy passed away in my arms. Today all I can say is I wish I could of helped him as much as he helped me even if it was for only 7 years 1 month. I found him 1 week after losing my other dog. This year I lost 2 brothers and 2 dogs. Would love another.

It felt like we were an inconvenience to her by being there, from the second we walked in. Looked at us like she had no clue why we were there. My husband had questions about keeping fish as we're both new to this, and she treated him like he was an idiot for even asking anything. Another employee, a younger man, came and helped us later and I can't say enough good things about him! He was incredibly friendly, offered plenty of knowledge, and helped us get exactly what we needed. Honestly if he hadn't came over and helped us, we were about ready to walk out without buying a single thing. Thanks to him, we made a purchase. Most likely wouldn't go back again specifically because of how rude the lady was. As a customer, I have no desire to be treated like I'm a problem for coming in to spend money at your store.

This place is a mixed bag. The variety was unexpected for a small store in a small town. No puppies…read moreor kittens which is fine with me. They did have various birds, reptiles, rodents, freshwater fish and even a tarantula. They also had a good stock of supplies. What they didn't have is the energy or desire to clean their tanks. I went three times and ever time they were sitting in the back. Meanwhile the tanks are green with alga and full of dead plants that they still hope to sell. There was not too many dead fish, but there was not much variety either. My first trip to the store the person who came out to help me said something about needing to clean the tanks, but over the two week period that I visited the store she never got around to it. I pointed out a large dead fish and she said "I guess they picked on him until he died." She never bothered to remove the fish. If they cannot be bothered to clean their tanks, I cannot be bothered to spend my money there.
