Wow....tractor supply is missing a great opportunity. Smithland closing represents a large customer base that need to go somewhere. I like to shop local stores but not when they are rude and have no interest in helping customers. Only thing they can go is point in a direction. I guess I be shopping online. Since Smithfield Agway closed, I'm forced to use tractor supply in Middletown. The employees don't seem to appreciate customers who come in. Each time I place an order online, it's 100 hoops just to collect my order when ready for pickup. I worked 30 yrs as an HR manager and the employees don't seem appreciated at all by a manager let alone corporate. Morale is a very low at this location & corporate doesn't seem to care. read more

Just wanted to say a huge Thank you to the Leader Karen and her cashier Donna. They both helped me with getting the right dog food for my pup. They were both very knowledge on what the best type of food will help with her coat and stomach. Karen was so nice and even was able to give me a small bag for free to see how our pup likes it first. Trailer parking is nice, but today was the second time we could not get a propane refill. Twenty minute wait, and four unanswered pages to Miles (was he backing up a fork lift the whole time?), we did not get propane. This was the second time we heard a TSC cashier tell us there were only three staff members in the store. This is the final time it will happen to us. I'm thinking TSC is not too interested in staffing their stores, and therefore they doesn't think much of their customers. Low propane cost doesn't equal reliable service. read more

Went here to get propane tanks refilled very easy and cheaper than anywhere else . Everyone that works at was helpful and knowledgeable!!!

A friend suggested getting grill propane tank refills at this Tractor Supply Store so I decided to give it a try. Sometimes, I switch tanks when there is still some gas left so that I don't run out in the middle of grilling. Here, you only pay for the actual quantity of gas needed to completely fill the tank (it holds 4.6 gal). The current price is $3.59/gallon. For one tank that needed 4.4 gallons, it was just $14.04 to fill it up. To get a refill, you step into the store or call them and ask for propane assistance. Then drive down to the propane location beside the building where the attendant (a very nice and helpful guy when I was there) refills the tank and can take a credit card payment right there. read more

There are a lot of things I like about tractor supply. The biggest positive is their propane refilling. Reason being they charge 2.69 a gallon. A full 20lb tank holds 4.7 gallons so it's under 13 dollars for a full refill. Another positive, if you know you need a full tank but have half a tank you only pay for half . Ace charges 15.99 flat refill charge, no matter how much propane is in your tank. I also found the workers there very helpful and friendly. They do offer snow blowers and lawn mowers but have no were near the selection that home depot or lowes has. But it's a fun store to walk around and see some unique products they sell. read more

I went in today and the cashier didn't even acknowledge me when I went in. I bought enacting of bird seed and a bag of sunflower seeds,it's not that they were heavy,just awkward ,when you pick them up they tend to bend. I didn't have a cart so I had to put one down before I made it to the register,so I put the first one on the counter and went back and got the other one. All while the cashier Rahsan stood there watching. He rang my stuff up,didn't ask for my member number !! I grabbed a cart so I could get them to the car and he props up against the cash register and just watches me,never offers to help at all !! That is definitely not customer service at all !! I called and spoke with the manager and she said that I'm not the first one to complain about him. So why keep an employee if you have several complaints ?? read more

This store did not meet my needs. I went to Lowe's to find an air filter for my John Deere lawn mower. They did not carry what I needed. So no problem I though, I will pick it up at the Tractor Supply store. Checking out the lawn mower air filters at TSS and what a joke. They had less brands than Lowe's did. So if you need something besides lawn mower parts this store might meet your needs, lawn mower parts forget about it. read more

What a great attitude the employees and Dave in particular seem to have at this store. Wouldn't you know that I'd run out of propane on the day of an impending Nor'easter. No winds or hurricane type rain yet, but a steady downpour of rain when I arrived at the store. This was my first visit to Tractor Supply so I toured the store hoping the rains would subside a bit before braving the trip outside to the propane tanks. Plus, I just didn't feel good about making someone go out to get soaked because guess what? I fill 3 tanks when I go for propane. The tour was enlightening in that I learned that Tractor Supply has a very wide variety of tools, garden supplies, clothes, cowboy boots, grills and much more, all at very competitive prices. People who own horses seem to go here, but they really do have something for everyone & I'll bet if you visit you won't leave empty handed. And I would highly recommend Tractor Supply for those in need of a propane refill; best prices around! One employee chuckled when I asked who I need to see to get propane as she glanced outside at the downpour & said "it's Dave today, I'll page him if you want to meet him outside by the tanks." I hesitated just a bit before braving the weather in case Dave was delayed, but he was there waiting by the time I got there with the third tank. I was anticipating a speech about how each customer is limited to one tank refill during inclement weather, an eye roll or at least a long sigh, at the site of 3 tanks, but not from Dave! He went about his merry way with polite and friendly conversation as if it were the nicest day of the year. So thank you Tractor Supply and thank you Dave so much. Who would have guessed that going to fill 3 propane tanks on a rainy day could be so​ pleasant? I'll bet Dave has that effect on all customers he waits on. read more
