The card readers in self-checkout at the Hastings location are crap, especially #29 and #31. I…read moreended up using 3 different cards at 2 different registers before one of the cards went through. Then I got fraud alerts on my phone for all 3 cards. I eventually got someone to go over to the 2 registers to point out which ones should be taken offline, and other customers at both of those registers also had trouble with their cards going through. I heard from someone else that this is an ongoing problem at the Hastings store. Supposedly they have whoever services the card readers come in and clean them periodically, but if it's an ongoing problem, they probably need to be replaced. I will not be returning to this location anytime soon. Wasted an hour of my time when I had hoped to get back home before dark, after making 2 other stops on the way. Couldn't make those stops because the other stores were closed by the time I got back on the road.

About a month ago my mother went into this location to pick up a few items and she proceeded to use self checkout system. It was like total $45 and some change. She then walked towards the exit and was stopped by security who then forcefully grabbed her and forced her down to the ground and put his weight on her. She's nearing 70 years old. She has to park in Handicap for god's sake. I later found out that they then were going to try to charge her for shoplifting. They even had a restriction from property paper ready to go. Turns out that all of this is because their self checkout failed to scan 2 different items. When she ran the items over the scanner it made a beep sound, but the system was running so slow it didn't add it to the list of checked out items. Upon being taken to the back and waiting for a Police Officer to come, they still wanted to press charges even though none of it was any of her fault. What she described to me was that the Police Officer was reviewing the security footage and seen her scan the items and that the management of this location said that "She should have seen the items weren't checked out." and were determined to press charges. The Officer ended up writing a Citation paper. Not one single employee or anyone in management even bothered to consider that their self checkout system wasn't working properly. THIS PLACE IS A HELL HOLE AND THIS ENTIRE MANAGEMENT TEAM NEEDS TO BE FIRED!!

Books, toys, activities.... etc A kid can enjoy themselves throughly. Checking out can be a great ordeal. Not sure on the staffing ratio but the registers all had lines and no matter where you walked, you had to wait to checkout. That gives you a picture of what it can be on your visit. The MOA was clean, well maintained and orderly. Plenty of signage and kiosks and info desks to guide you. We felt safe the whole to time. There is an amazing amount of stores to browse. Multiple stores of everything you want. Large walking corridors so it didn't feel overly crowded. Lots of fun attractions to admire as you walk. We found plenty of food options as well. The MOA is very attractive. Lots of lighting and decorative touches to make you feel welcome. Usually you can find a bench to sit on if you need a break. Overall good experience!

More space for more stores, more food options, more parking lots and garages, and a miniature amusement park in the middle. My son and I are from NJ and he insisted on coming here during our roadtrip across America. He's not a big shopper but loved the amusement park of course. I went on one of the rides with him and he went on a few more on his own. The wait for the rides was pretty long. The whole thing is quite an impressive display of American consumerism and just plain over-the-top, go-big-or-go-home insanity. It's fine for a few hours, but after a while it can become sensory overload, and I'm happy to cross it off my bucket list and move on with the roadtrip.

They also have really cute tote bags by the register that change seasonally and are only .99. The only staff encounter I had while shopping was checking out. The cashiers were nice. Outside of that is the largest collection of quarter slot rides that I know of. They accept card payment or lets your kids pretend and don't pay to turn them on at all. Then there's a train ride and rideable animals for a fee. In Scheels they have a beautiful aquarium, a fun shooting range for a small fee and a ferris wheel that's only $1 per rider. Then upstairs they have a nice food court with clean restrooms and a variety of food options. I wish all malls were like this.

5 Stars for Unexpected Wonders at Eden Prairie Center!…read more Eden Prairie Center gets 5 stars from me after an Easter photoshoot turned into a fun adventure. I wasn't even planning on going to the mall, but it was worth the trip. What really surprised me was Scheels. The size of it is impressive, but the fact they had a real aquarium and a Ferris wheel?! That's a whole other level! It's cool to see a store go above and beyond with entertainment and attractions. I also loved how the staff were very helpful pointing me in the right direction. I didn't shop at any of the other stores so I can't comment on those, but overall it was nice. It was a beautiful day and I just enjoyed walking around and taking it all in. If you need to get out of the house, stretch your legs and be surprised by a unique shopping experience, Eden Prairie Center is a must visit. Scheels alone is worth the trip! Win for a fun unexpected outing.

10/7/25 visit to Target was extremely disappointing. I attempted purchased a piece of furniture, a…read morelighter and Diet Coke Lime (yes, it's back!). While waiting in the one line that was open, I was blown away by the lack of customer service from the cashier (white male, unkempt looking, tie dye target hoodie). The customer in front of me had two clothing items without tags. The cashier looked up the items on his scanner and sloppily tossed them into the bag (I would've been pissed it they were my clothes). Right before the customer stuck her card in the reader, the cashier told her the clothes without tags couldn't be returned. She obviously felt pressured to make a decision and offered to go find the same items with tags intact. The cashier canceled the sale and dumped the clothes back into her cart. No offer to print a tag, call for assistance, send her to guest services...nothing. I got to the register and my experience wasn't much better. I asked why the advertised Target Circle discount didn't apply to my purchase. He said, "no clue" with zero effort to assist. I ended up going to guest services and they scanned all of my items and said nothing in my cart was eligible for the target circle discount. That's fine. Got home and did a little research and literally the $200 lamp I purchased was $120 with the target circle discount. I went back to the store today and the error was corrected without hesitation. I stopped going to target when they went woke, but started popping in here and there. The lack of cashiers, crappy customer service and pain in the butt pricing errors just isn't worth it. The carts are nice though! Oh, and the Threshold lamp I bought was defective in color, making all of this hassle even more frustrating!

Near the end of one shift, I was asked to meet with a team leader (Goes by the name greg tall lanky white guy) about concerns regarding the length of one of my breaks. I explained that I disagreed with the concern and left the meeting feeling uncomfortable with how the situation was handled. After that, communication felt distant, and I never received any follow-up about the issue. After I resigned, the police were called while I was at the store, which was confusing and upsetting to me. It was the same greg guy who called and told police officers I made people feel uncomfortable. The police told me I wasnt trespassed or in trouble but that I should be happy I quit. I'm sure the greg guy wanted to seem he fired me or something. (I never got arrested and he never got arrested for making a false call for 911) If it was me being black and making that false call I wouldve been in handcuffs. Overall, I didn't feel supported or treated fairly during my time working here. I'm sharing my experience so others know what mine was like, though I hope other employees have a better experience than I did.

The people were very nice, but again - it was at a booth in Illinois, not at the store in Wisconsin. The website is kind of hard to navigate, and I can't find those bags, but their selection was pretty good both at the booth and online. They are a bit pricey, but it's worth it to buy this stuff from a local vendor than some crappy version of it from Wal-Mart.
