I recommend this mall for parents with young kids who don't want to spend much or anything at all. They have a lovely closed off play area on the lower level that good for toddlers through kindergarten. Outside of that is the largest collection of quarter slot rides that I know of. They accept card payment or lets your kids pretend and don't pay to turn them on at all. Then there's a train ride and rideable animals for a fee. In Scheels they have a beautiful aquarium, a fun shooting range for a small fee and a ferris wheel that's only $1 per rider. Then upstairs they have a nice food court with clean restrooms and a variety of food options. I wish all malls were like this. read more

5 Stars for Unexpected Wonders at Eden Prairie Center! Eden Prairie Center gets 5 stars from me after an Easter photoshoot turned into a fun adventure. I wasn't even planning on going to the mall, but it was worth the trip. What really surprised me was Scheels. The size of it is impressive, but the fact they had a real aquarium and a Ferris wheel?! That's a whole other level! It's cool to see a store go above and beyond with entertainment and attractions. I also loved how the staff were very helpful pointing me in the right direction. I didn't shop at any of the other stores so I can't comment on those, but overall it was nice. It was a beautiful day and I just enjoyed walking around and taking it all in. If you need to get out of the house, stretch your legs and be surprised by a unique shopping experience, Eden Prairie Center is a must visit. Scheels alone is worth the trip! EPC is a pretty chill mall, like most smaller malls during non holiday seasons. I could go here on a Friday night and not be bothered by crowds. During holiday season it's a bit busier. Lots of teens hanging out here. I do feel like this mall is more so geared towards the older crowds based on the selection of stores. Lots of boutique style shops & kind of higher end retail. I did see they are getting a Mini-so soon which is exciting. Overall there's only 4-5 places I go here for; Barnes & Noble, Target (yes, it's connected), Bath & body works, AMC & Niko Niko. I would say definitely look up the directory before shopping here or you may be a bit disappointed if you are actually shopping w/ a purpose. They seem to have decent options at the food court, although I rarely eat here. Seems clean though & plenty of seating. read more

I wanted to visit Kohl's. The closest one by my hotel was located at Eden Prairie Center. This mall is pretty good. I don't wander around malls as often as I used to. My being at a mall depletes my bank account. I tend to do box stores and outlets these days. I shop at the stores that I need and I leave. However, being on vacation and having far more willpower these days, I spent a good four hours at this mall and still have a decent bank account balance. It has my favourite stores, such as Kohl's, Target, and Barnes and Noble. Major department stores, such as Von Maur and JC Penney, are a part of this mall. The food court is on the top floor. It has your usual fast food places, such as Subway and Sbarro, and more interesting selections, such as Potbelly Sandwich Shop and Pasta Zola. This mall has some of my usual clothing stores, such as Gap, Old Navy, and Eddie Bauer. I like the selection of stores, including Epic Nails (it had customers both times that I had passed by), Auntie Anne's (I love pretzel dogs), and Tactical Urban Combat (shooting games with Nerf-like guns). I'd like to come back here and watch a movie at the AMC. It looks huge. This mall has everything that I like about a mall. It has shops that I like, which explains why I can spend a few hours here and not get bored. (497) read more

Such a great mall! After recently moving to the area, I've really enjoyed shopping at Eden Prairie Center. Plenty of stores and places to eat. I really like that there is a Target attached! I also found it nice to have both a JCPenney and Kohl's at this mall, in addition to Von Maur being my favorite. Scheel's is also fun to check out. I've noticed that there are several vacant shops though, so hopefully other stores decide to move in! It's very well laid out and clean. I definitely don't see this as a dying mall whatsoever. read more

I love EP Community Center. The pool is wonderful. I also have tried yoga with different instructors in the past and never cared for it but thought I would try the class with Patrice and now I love it. The children's play area is perplexing. I remember my older kids having so much fun before they remodeled. Now it feels closed off from the rest of the mall which I'm sure adds security but I also feel like it makes parents less engaged with their children. At the old play place, parents actually had to walk around and watch their kid and then end up playing with them. Now, with the added door all you have to do is walk in and let your kid go. I do see the benefits of having the door and extra protection and it would make it easy if you had some computer work to do or a phone call to make. Overall, I feel it cleaner and safer but I don't know that we'll be back. In lieu of the play area in the atrium, they have placed pay for machines like you'd see outside of a grocery store. It's a nightmare trying to get your kid out of this area of the mall without bribery! I appreciate the cleanliness like I've said. Give it a try, but set your bar low. read more

This is a mall, updated to current standards, with plenty of stores to suit your everyday needs. No it isn't the Mall of America, but if you want that it is only 10-15mins down the road. For a ring city mall, it is pretty standard. I've never had too many issues here, but parking can get out of control during the holidays so watch out. There's an Express and Charlotte Rouse where I can get cute outfits to go out in. There's a Sears and JCPenny as well as a target... There's a caribou shack, a food court and other branded stores like foot locker, Victoria secret, BR and gap... If you got kids, don't worry. There's a indoor playground next to Klohs. Did I mention the nail saloon there is decent and they have eye brow threading there (thank god). How can you go wrong with shopping at this place. I'm there way too much! read more

I was impressed by how neat the stores organize the merchandise and how professional and neat in appearance they are (reminiscent of Southdale). I have been to many an Old Navy where clothes are in disarray and it's next to impossible to approach a rack without encountering several articles of clothing from other departments or simply incorrect sizes. Like others have mentioned, this isn't the mall of America BUT it is a great mall. There are lots of great stores to shop at. They have lots of great clothing stores, shoe stores, Barnes & Nobles, Hallmark, AMC move theater, etc. There are also a lot of places to eat such as Panda express, Pastazola, etc. It's worth checking out if you're in the mood to shop or just to pass time. read more

Eden Prarie Center is my favorite mall. It's the Von Maur. The bathrooms at Von Maur are what all bathrooms in America should be. God I love to pee there! And the clearance shoe room at Von Maur has birthed many a deal for my poor little college feet. The best part of Eden Prarie Center is that you can do some upscale slumming. Yeah, it feels nice, but I can actually afford the Target, Old Navy and Deb (don't ask about the Deb part okay, I can't actually admit that I shop there but they have $1 clothes sometimes!) I'm 35 and male. Which means that there's not a lot of shopping I can do here. Sure, there's Macy's and the other big department stores, and there's a Target attached. Barnes & Noble at this mall is pretty good, and overall it is very, very clean, but my favorite things about this mall are the food court and the AMC theatre inside, both of which are exceptional. The food court has a small but good range of options, including some healthy options. There is a huge, beautiful fireplace in the food court, too, so on those subzero Minnesota days (which is pretty much every day from October to May) you can eat mall food AND get warm. There's a pretty decent, albeit small, GameStop here, and a whole host of other stores that my 55-year old Mom loves shopping at. And for me, there's also a pretty great - although pricey - kitchen store on the first floor. The crowds here are very pleasant - you won't find throngs of teenagers, you won't find people who would push you out of the way for a bargain. You will find your grandmothers friends, worn-out looking middle class moms, and that snotty girl that you knew in high school looking much worse for the wear. This is a good mall - easy to get around in, easy to get in and out of, and fairly easy to get a parking place close to the doors. Do me one favor, though, Eden Prairie. For the love of goodness, get an H&M already. read more

This is one of those completely typical malls where people go to shop less than hang out and put on fashion shows for their high school classmates. I remember not realizing that this was done all over until going here and seeing it very clearly for myself in all its AE and Ambercrombie glory. "Like, amigawd, u r hawt. Ever since discovering their free indoor playground I'm a new fan of the Eden Prairie mall. For Twin Cities moms looking for a free morning's entertainment indoors during the cold winter months, this is perfect! There's an enclosed area with climbing equipment and slides for toddlers, and cushioned benches for parents all around. On the mornings I've been to the playground, there have been between 10 and 20 kids and their parents. The Reatrix projector game is right down the hall by the Ben & Jerry's, the Caribou Coffee stand and the elevators, with plenty of seating there as well. For the potty trainers out there, the Food Court upstairs has two Family restrooms with child-sized mini toilets and short sinks in addition to adult sized ones. They have always been clean. The stores at this mall are pretty typical, but with the added bonus of Target attached. Cub Foods is nearby also. All things considered, this is a great place for a busy mom to spend a morning getting some play time and shopping in. read more

Probably my favorite local mall and I'm within about 20 minutes from Mall of America, Southdale, and Ridgedale. We love Airtraffic games, usually end up at the attached Target, attached Barnes and Moble, attached Old Navy. Small enough so it's not a hassle to ark or find things but big enough to have exactly what I need. read more

I really love this mall. It's clean and usually never crowded. It is definitely lacking some stores that other malls nearby have, but it also has some things that those malls don't have. Some examples are Scheel's, Von Maur, and an AMC movie theater. It's a great size; it's not overwhelmingly big or too small. read more

As I walked down the mall strip three days ago I was enticed by the magnificent smells of the men's Cologne..... so I just had to enter. I wander around the store for roughly an hour so confused. I had just taken mushrooms for the first time since the 9th grade. The interior of the store was so beautifully lit and the clothes were spectacular. Until I was stopped dead in my tracks... Right then I saw it, a manikin so elegantly designed such illustrious curves. I just had to have it. I wanted to bring him home for my collection when I was stopped by one of the employees telling me I need to stop trying to detach the manikin from it's stand. I began to cry profusely until I was hauled out by to mall cops. I am no longer welcome at this JC penny's. read more

As far as malls go, it's alright. The food court has a Potbelly's next to it, which makes my husband happy. I prefer Steak Escape personally. There is a Target too - which is always handy. I don't frequent it but don't avoid it either. read more

This is much more beautiful than most malls, then again I'm a sucker for prairie architecture. The bathrooms off of the food court are kinda amazing! Stalls are huge and pretty decor. I'm also a sucker for Scheels, which is the best sporting goods store ever. The selection and service can't be beat (at least not in Wisconsin). read more

I had not the best experience with getting my dog's picture (Yes, I'm that girl) taken with Santa and when I called to talk about it, not even really complain, just let someone know, the mall manager and the marketing manager were not only understanding, but so kind and receptive to my feedback. If you're looking for convenience, variety and one stop shopping, this place has it. But with that said, I generally avoid E.P. mall unless there is something I cannot find anywhere else. The crowds can be a bit too much, especially during the holidays. Kohl's, which used to be a great place to shop, has become intolerable due to the level of screaming reverberating from the kiddy play pen right by the entrance. More than once, I have seen children waddling into stores with their pants down and their hands going from their butt to whatever sparkly product catches their eye. And as much as I enjoy finding good deals, I don't want free E.Coli with my vitamins. On the plus side, if you're into people watching, look no further. read more

I really liked this mall it's not as crowded as it's in MOA. And very family friendly. They have a comfortable food court. I also really liked the nursing room. But I went to JCPenny to get some clothes when I came to the cashier at JCPenny they were asking each other about why ppl bring their kids to the mall? Which shocked me. Cause there I was with my husband and son and my 4 months old baby. I guess for their mind if you have kids you have to be locked inside your house and never go to the mall? oh wow DO NOT use the I+Doctor in the Eden Prairie mall! Especially if you want anything fixed right or even if you want your item even back at all . I went back 3 times and it was more broke than when I first went to this place . I have pictures! The MAIN person in this place is a bald ,short, guy who knows pretty much NOTHING about ipods or blackberrys never the less how to fix it . Oh and if you dispute the fact they broke your item and want you money back or even YOUR item back , he will compensate for his LACK of knowledge with a belittling attitude ( he argue with me AND my teen daughter for good 15 minutes on how WELL, WITH A POLICE involvement I got my item back (MORE BROKEN because he took it apart) But sorry ladies and gents no money back for my DAMAGED item! Great new kids center that is enclosed. Parking is good. The amc theater is nice, a bit small but it has the latest and greatest movies. Main stores are Sears, jc penny, Von mar and kohls. It was upgraded about 20 years ago. Compared to malls like southdale, it could use an upgrade. Also could use a video game store (there are currently none left) but I understand there is not always a demand. read more
