The new owner personally called me to reassure that nothing would change--he repeated this multiple times as I asked for clarification. Email communications echoed the same message: continuity, no changes to terms. Unfortunately, that assurance turned out to be misleading. After my tenant moved out and left the property in poor condition, I decided not to rent the home again. When I informed Ascend, I was shocked to learn that I was now bound to a contract through December 31, 2026--with a penalty for early termination. This was a complete departure from my original agreement, which only required a 30-day notice to cancel. At no point was I made aware that I was entering into a new, more restrictive contract. I relied on the verbal and written assurances that everything would remain the same. Instead, I feel I was misled into signing terms that were never transparently disclosed. This experience has left me deeply disappointed. I expected honesty and continuity, not a bait-and-switch. Property owners deserve clear communication and ethical treatment--especially when long-standing relationships are involved.

When researching various property management companies, Good Life's approach was the most straightforward and transparent with no long term commitments. After speaking with them multiple times with various questions, I was left with a feeling of assurance that I was in good hands. Being a first time landlord, I have no experience in knowing how to screen tenants, knowing the rules, etc., especially when my background is not in the real estate and rental business. Having a busy work schedule also means that I won't likely be able to attend to the tenant's needs in a timely manner. This is where Good Life fills in the gaps for me. The team at Good Life during the onboarding process has been super helpful and efficient in getting the property ready, whereas it would've taken me ages in trying to do it myself. I was assigned Andrei as my property manager and it's been a great start. He has been open, transparent, professional, and great to work with since the start. I recently had an online shopping shipment mis-delivered to my rental property, to which Andrei was instrumental in helping to coordinate the handoff between the tenant and me. Even though Andrei is my primary contact, I can see that they have great teamwork. On one weekend, I had a question to which I received an out-of-office note from him. But rest assured, another team member stepped in that day during his time off to help with my question. Good Life also has a great online portal for me to see all the documents and tax information. Their services have impressed me since the beginning, and I look forward to a great relationship moving forward. Keep up the great work, Good Life! I highly recommend them!

If there are issues or updates, they email, text, and/or send info via owner web portal. Savannah has been our point of contact at Good Life. She is the best! Very friendly and always follows up with our questions/requests. We've had a few repairs that our tenants needed. Chi (Maintenance coordinator) handled them smoothly and kept me informed. Again, great communication. Love the financial summary (and receipt) at end of year for our tax accountant. Documents are nicely arranged on the owner web portal. Love it. And...always like Steve's informative emails and YT videos on regulations and tips.

They were always responsive anytime I called with an issue and acted promptly in resolving the issue or letting me know what was going on. If I learned anything is that you get what you give so if you go into a place with an attitude or expect to get treated differently because the amount of money or titles you have then your at the wrong place! JMT treats everyone equally and no one gets a break. Yes they're very demanding and are strictly by the book but this is also the ONLY company I've encountered to take every tenants and clients complaints seriously. As far as the daycare you know maybe it does but its a family business and I wish I could bring my baby to work at times wouldn't anyone? You get treated like family here very understanding and caring is what they are. There's only 2 reviews on here if every tenant that has gotten a new carpet, stove, fridge JMT would have 5 stars. JMT not only handles tenants but homeowners as well they have a lot of work to do on a daily bases and should be appreciated for all they do!! Thank you JMT!!!! You should really stop and think... theirs always tenants that owe rent,get evicted etc...so I'm sure they won't be saying the truth.
