I finally went looking for someone to do it, I called one guy who worked out of his home, I felt really uncomfortable calling him on his house phone, someone else wanted $10 per decal, than I walked into this place to find out if they could do it and how much would it be, at no time did they say they didn't do decals, I had no idea, I just walked in with a print out of my signature block, I told the first person what I was looking for, what I was going to do with it, where I was going to put it, there was a lot of umming and ahhing but he said he would take the print out and give it to Greg and see if they could come up with something. I talked to Greg on the phone but decided it was a lot easier just to show him what I wanted than try to describe it on the phone. I drove down there and we went outside to take a look at my car to see how much room I had and what exactly I was looking for. I was getting kind of anal about getting things perfect, which I think was getting him mad, but these are my buddies who were killed and injured, I just wanted to get things right, I wanted everything dress right dress, he understood that and we went inside where he gave me a tour of the business, he told me that he didn't do decals, just signage for buildings and street type signs, I felt like an idiot because I didn't want to waste his time but he said he would do it, no problem, he said they would be done later that day. We didn't even talk about price or the number of decals I wanted, we pretty much didn't talk about anything, he just said he would take care of it. He called later that day and said they were ready, I asked him what the damage was and he said that there was no charge, he did it because of my service and for my battle buddies who didn't make it home, FINALLY someone who understands, I had told him I couldn't get there until after closing, he said not a prob, he would put everything in a folder and tape it to the door. I got there an hour after closing and there was this huge envelope on the door addressed to me, he had even written my division, my brigade and my unit on the front of the envelope which totally floored me. I open it up thinking there was going to be one, maybe two decals, but he had printed out THIRTEEN DIFFERENT decals of all different sizes, WOW, it almost brought a tear to my eye because it was so nice knowing that there are still people out there who actually care, and plus he saved me $130...lol, he even included a card, I was touched that he went above and beyond, THANK YOU Greg, you're THE BEST! Even if Greg would ever be licensed again, DO NOT TRUST or HIRE him…read more Greg "finished" the work on our house 3 years ago, having taken 6 months longer than he had promised. I used "finished" loosely, because his work leaves you feel robbed. Let me list all the things we have had to deal with and hear from this so called contractor, who will boast that he has built many multi-million dollar mansions. 1. Having talked to other contractors in the area, I have unfortunately found out in hindsight how full of it Greg Fisher is. 2. From the beginning Greg will give you excuses when he doesn't meet deadlines. 3. He will give you excuses that the material or whatever else is being installed has a manufacturer's defect; don't fall for this, he will waste your time convincing you to contact the manufacturer. He installed a french patio door for us, and initially blamed the manufacturer for the bad fit and mistake. After a technician from the manufacturing company came out and inspected the door, it was concluded that the door was installed improperly. After which Greg blamed my father for choosing that specific brand, because he wasn't familiar with the installation of that brand's doors. 4. Make sure you are at home, or have someone at home watching over anything remotely valuable. Things will go missing supposedly by his staff and he didn't know they were stealing. 5. The entire tile work he has done is so bad, that we had him do some patch fix work on it within the first 6 months of "finishing" the job. 7. The tiles are uneven, i.e. tiles are up to 1 cm off in height compared to adjacent tiles. (I will try to upload some pictures) The tile work is so horrible, that it's not a matter of if the tiles will become loose, but when. All the high traffic areas have come loose already, and the remainder is a matter of time. We have tried to give this so called contractor many chances to come and fix things. On his last visit to our house his subcontractor blatantly said they would have done a better job if we would have dished out more money. This was never even conveyed to us during the work. When Greg arrived, he had the nerve to say he doesn't see anything wrong besides a few loose grouts. lol I gave Greg multiple chances to come redo the entire flooring and fix the patio door, but he actually expected us to buy the tiles out of our own pocket and have him redo the work. Since his license expired in 2012, there isn't much CSLB can do, so now I have been talking to various lawyers to sue him.
