Honestly, one little thing ruined this 1 star review from being a 5 star review…read more I worked with Dave and my corporate office to have Orlando Recycles pick up a plethora of old IT equipment ranging from monitors, to an old TV, desktops, etc. My corporate office gave me specific requirements on what needed to be done for hard drives, including a certificate per drive showing they were destroyed. This is a common requirement in IT departments everywhere, as obviously we're responsible for that data and don't need it getting into the wrong hands. This is something I spoke with Dave about over the phone, and reiterated I needed. Dave came by with another gentleman and took out all the equipment as requested no problem. Sometime later, I received a receipt that showed what was taken. The only thing that was numerically listed was the hard drives that were removed. However, I received no certificates. I emailed Dave. He said he had no notes of that request. Of course not, it was a phone conversation. Nor did he ask me on the day of if that was as service I needed or wanted. So while he apologized, that really doesn't help my case at all. Because of that slight oversight (which is actually a massive issue), I can't recommend nor use this company again in the future.

When you fill your dumpster they pick it up and place it on the scale and then inside the screened area, someone operates a computer. Sometimes you have to wait, but nobody organizes anything. It's all a guessing game over there. No signs, no taped lines or anything to help you out. After the person hands you paper, you walk over to a window and then an older lady, who doesn't say a single word takes your paper, disappears for several minutes and then she hands you your money and she runs off. You have no chance to ask any questions about your payment or even to say goodbye. It's like they gave "Mama" a job to do and she acts like a robot or a programmed victim of brainwashing. They run a shoddy operation, it's unprofessional, nobody talks to you, greets you or explains anything to you. If they told you to screw yourself that would almost be an improvement. They bring you a dumpster, weight your stuff and pay you without much interaction as if they prefer to get you in and out and paid before you can think about what you've done. If they'd be more personable, willing and available to talk to customers and post some signage providing directions, clean up that piece of crap house and design an entryway that wasn't so damn embarrassing then maybe I'd consider going back there. If they can't talk to people or they prefer not to then they should all work from home or someplace where they don't have to think about the customer's point of view and providing customer service. And the lady behind the glass needs to go.
