Can't recommend Ted and 502 Construction enough!…read more In fact, I have given his info to two people so far and will likely be sharing it even more in the future. I reached out to 502 Construction via Yelp, and Ted, the owner, responded directly to me and came out to look at our issue firsthand before giving us a quote. It meant so much to be able to talk to him about this from the start. The stone facade on a back wall in our garden had fallen off, due to water getting behind the stone and freezing. We also wanted to add a brick topper to that wall, to match the wall on the other side of our back yard, and we wanted a metal railing added to the length to prevent anyone from falling off the side of the wall, which abuts our parking pad. Ted's bid was fair, and when he started the work, he was at our house everyday (excluding a couple of days due to bad weather) until it was complete. He was communicative and receptive throughout. And his work more than met our expectations. He had to individually measure and cut maybe 100 bricks so that the topper would work with the incline of the wall. He went a couple of places to find brick that would match brick we already had at our house, and he cut and welded the railing on site. We still need to paint the railing, but it is night and day better compared to what it was. (I will be sure to add before-and-after photos once it is 100% complete.) Ted is going on our list of contractors to have handy and to recommend to all who will listen.

Responded well, a rep. Came to the location and provided a quick quote for the job to be done.read more

Cheap, but Poor quality work and poor longevity…read more They made several mistakes and took several shortcuts when doing my job initially. I caught much of it, like the 1/2 circle area being uneven and not a 1/2 circle, and not removing the existing patio enough in some areas that it would have poked through the top of the new one. Unfortunately, some issues made it past me including; -There is a low spot at the end of the steps which means when there is cold weather the first thing i get is a patch of ice at the foot of the steps. Pretty dangerous. -The "straight" sides are not all straight. This created unnecessary problems when having a deck built next to the patio. -The vertical part of the steps are not even. And now the concrete started spalling within about 3 years. Their answer to this? "Powerwash and apply a penetrating waterproofing sealer and it shouldn't get worse". I paid for their 'advanced sealant' when this was put in by the way. Unhappy customer here. I gave 2 stars instead of 1 because it could have been worse as its not crumbling, just spalling.

I recently came across an ad for Sam, The Concrete Man, hoping they'd do a good job on my project. Not only did they deliver--they exceeded my expectations. The results were so good that I added a second project, and once again, the entire team executed everything perfectly. Professional. Creative. Reliable. Outstanding results. We had a large branch come down and rip out the electrical conduit from our brick wall on our house…read moreand called Stephen over at Brick and Stone Masonry and we are very glad that we did. Stephen was very prompt and professional in responding to my calls and messages and offered me a competitive quote that he thought would be a week long repair job. His crew had our brick wall repaired in 2 days and were able to salvage almost all of the old/existing brick which we were very appreciative of. Stephen was one of the only masons in town who was willing to clean and reuse the old brick so it looked as if it had never been repaired. He offered me some tips and advice for how long to wait and let the brick dry before putting screws into it and came out to the house after the job was done and inspected his crews work. He even offered to have them come back and clean up a few areas that still had some remaining mortar. I would highly recommend Brick and Stone Masonry for all of your masonry needs - thank you again for everything!

Not a reputable company. Asked to come by and give an estimate to fix a walkway and a porch…read more Came by. Looked at work. Didn't respond after. Was a referral from my landscaping guy. The company never responded to the requested estimates and ghosted the landscaping company and myself. Take these people with a grain of salt. Times are tough right now and finding good people is hard -- I get that. But just not answering after an estimate isn't something that you would want to go through.
