I love shopping at Trader Joe's. Sometimes it's not that easy for me to navigate the store since I have difficulty standing for a long time. Today the store was moderately busy and I could shop the aisles with ease. I love being greeted by beautiful plants and flowers when I walk in. The store is always spotless and the produce and shelves make it easy to see the products. I'm always watching my weight so I like to buy a lot of the fresh vegetables and produce. Then on to the uncured bacon without nitrates. Today there was Empire turkey breasts, which will be perfect for preparing for the high holidays. Hamburgers, frozen chicken thighs are great for a quick dinner. We bought some chicken salad which we had for our lunch. Onto the dog treats! We usually empty the shelves because Freckles loves them. Dave always finds great wines for himself and to share when we visit friends. I love the prepared foods but are wary of the high salt content. Last of all the beautiful cards for $1.00! Can't beat that price. I only wish there was a bench or somewhere to sit if I had to. I understand that stores don't want people loitering or hanging out. It's really difficult for elderly or disabled people to shop without being able to take a respite. Otherwise I don't have any complaints. The cashiers and employees are extra friendly and helpful. Just stopped by this Trader Joe's and grabbed some very beautiful and affordable flowers that my Aunt LOVED! Also picked up some delicious non-alcoholic wine. While I don't drink, I was amazed at their huge selection of wine, from all different regions of the world. With bottles ranging from $2.99 to $5 and more, it reminded me of the Trader Joe's wine store they used to have over Union Square in nyc. I loved how open, spacious and clean this location is! To top it off, they had sooo many frozen pizzas, which in my neck of the woods, is a hot commodity! read more

We love Trader Joe's, even when there was not a store close. We would drive 20 miles to get our Trader Joe's fix. We really love the seasonal items. The fall items are our favorite but hold on the Christmas Eggnog is to die for. Make sure you get there early so you can get two or three bottles. So good. They have an awesome floral selection and it is very reasonable priced. Make sure you pick up flowers for your wife or that special person. Happy wife. Happy life. We have made stops at Trader Joe's all over the country and they have reusable bags designed especially to the local theme. First time here at this particular Trader Joe's. The layout seems pretty similar to the others I've been to. Fresh organic produce is found along the wall to the right as you enter. Cheese, eggs, and dairy products are found along the back and meat lines are found along the left side. I like the fact one can get good organic non-GMO products at a reasonable price here. The old saying, "You are what you eat.", has never been more true than today. This place offers one the opportunity to buy healthy foods that are good for you and your body. This is the new one in Sarasota. It's in the bustling Shoppes at UTC plaza across from the main UTC mall and all. There's lots of shopping, eateries, bars, and adventures here. Love this Trader Joe's! It's the closest one to me since I live in Cape Coral but it's worth the drive. The store has plenty of parking space, which was my issues with other Trader Joes, and the store is a nice size. The store is nice and clean and there is plenty of space in between aisles. The staff, as always, are really friendly and helpful. I love the selection of plant based products in this store. Love, love, love TJ!!! This is the only TJ in Ft.Myers - HOW?!? Please put more in around town. We drive from Alva to come to this store. Produce is fresh, prices are amazing (SO much less expensive than Publix), love the selection, love the GF options, love the freezer selection! Like any TJ, it's crazy crowded and a bit chaotic, but it's a big parking lot. Went yesterday and it was VERY slim selection. Not sure what's going on with supply chain, but a large % were out of stock. If you're GF, the cinnamon muffins are fantastic! Also like the GF cauliflower crust cheese pizza, hamburger buns, mac & cheese box. Been wanting to try the GF chocolate chip cookies, but they're typically out. My 1 complaint....lately a lot of TJ foods have started adding soybean oil as an ingredient. This is a huge bummer for us b/c we have a soy allergy. It's also one of the top 8 allergens and with so many special diet people shopping at TJ b/c of the clean ingredients it's odd that they are allowing this switch. It's now in most of their marinara sauces (yuck! use evoo) & their frozen tamales - things we used to be able to buy. Perhaps this is b/c soybean oil is super cheap and companies are trying to save money, but please try to find brands with better ingredients than soy oil. read more

Surprisingly, I was visiting family in SoCal and shopped at the Trader Joe's in Santee California. I was impressed with the low prices and spent $63 on 2 full grocery bags which included meats, produce, shelf items and wine So I decided to drive the 20mins to my closest Trader Joes in Ft Myers Florida. I was very DISAPPOINTED. The prices on almost everything was $1-$2 more. I compared prices on exact items. For example: sliced baby Bella mushrooms in SoCal were $1.99 ok vs $2.99 in Florida. Wines were $2 more ($3.49 vs $5.99). Boxed Chicken broth remained the same at $1.99 Just a few examples. My bill was over $100 Very surprising the prices were more in Florida than California. I love that all the stores are exactly the same across the country. The people that work there are trained very well. Very consistent across the board. Friendly, helpful, upbeat, happy. Trader Joe's must treat their employees well. Happy employees, happy customers. I love buying my flowers and plants here. I always find healthy plants that thrive with my non gardening skills. This Trader Joe's is a little bit smaller than other stores I am used to, but the staff definitely makes up for that. Some of the friendliest employees I've come across, even for TJ, standards. The store is very clean and brightly lit. Always enough carts and they are frequently having opportunities for samples. Trader Joe's is one of those places where, if you're not careful, you can spend at least half of an entire paycheck. Or that's how it is for me. The great thing about Trader Joe's is that everything in the store is the Trader Joe's brand. Sure, there is bottled wine and beer you'd not expect from a "grocery store", but when I used to get the 'Trader Jose cerveza' back in the day, it was comparable to bigger hops dealers. I can't make the same comment about the wine, but I've got friends who have raved about it. Recent "go to" food items have been the frozen bag of orange chicken. Following the recipe and using a stir fry pan, it pairs well with rice. The Miso Ginger broth is a stock that I love to keep in my pantry and Trader Joe's is the only place that seems to have this on their shelves. It's reasonably priced so I end up buying multiples when I see it. The fruit leather is a quick and painless alternative to keeping healthy snacks in my desk and where one stick can range from under a dollar to just over a dollar, I like to get the different flavors. Health items I used to buy when I went to the one up north: bottles of tea tree oil and vitamin E. Over the past decade, I stopped purchasing them, but the last time I needed it, price has shot up (about 2-3 years ago). Which is unfortunate, but that's the way the world reacts to natural products. Basil plants are always a good sign and a good welcome when you want to change up your herb garden. Same thing goes with orchids and other plants - I have purchased the pretties for gifts for people and know it'll last a while with tons of regrowth. Coffee is surprisingly good. I've purchased various beans - both in bags and cups - and haven't been let down. There have been random purchases that really surprise me when I make them. Too many to list in this review, but if you really scour the aisles, you won't be let down... which is why you can walk out paying a lot but end up with amazing meals. As far as the overall feel of the store: staff is super friendly and willing to help. Once upon a time you used to be able to "sample" products before buying but since a certain pandemic shut that down, you can't. But the store has a great return policy (or it used to). Make sure to double check on it, because I could be wrong. But if you don't like the product, bring it back and you get a refund. Again, recheck this before you end up buying it if you don't like it. Store is clean. Aisles clear of boxes unless staff is unpacking goods. It's well lit and easy to get around. read more

What a lovely experience we had for our first time ever stopping by. I was with my little one who used the kid carts, he's pretty young still. We shopped all around and they asked us a few times if we needed help. At check out my son made sure to hand every single item in his basketball to the first cashier - again sorry lol - and I believed the manager came over also to say hello. They took their time and let my little one do everything for me and check me out and even gave him a candy and stickers and a crew member sticker, he had the best time ever. One of the better Trader Joe's we've been to in Florida. I used to be a Trader Joe's regular living a block away in Carlsbad California so I love their food and the value received. Great people/team and this store was stocked nicely. I really wish some of their great seasonal offerings were offered all year long. Trader Joe's is my go to when there is one in the neighborhood. Took my best friend today and the place didn't disappoint him. The fresh vegetables was beautiful and had anything that you would want. Salads already made up and the fruit bowls was full of star fruit pieces of dragonfruit and so many other things. Meats was mouth watering too say the least. Tomahawk stakes to pork chops cut 3 inches thick. Mussels,clams (3) kinds octopus, shrimp fresh cut tuna etc. cheese,homemade soups I even found taffy that I can't find anywhere else. Walked into Ft Myers FL Trader Joes about 4:00 pm on January 30th, 2022 with a service animal. I tried to locate the Customer Service desk which is normally in the front of the store to ask if I could simply place an order and return to my car for pick up. Unless you go all the way into this store you won't even see it because it's in the far left side. I was in the wine section where I finally saw the Customer Service stand and had one of the managers named Ruel approach me and ask if I had a service animal to which I replied yes. He then started to interrogate me in front of another employee as to what my animal has been trained for and I started to reply but was interrupted with the question "and you think youre going to fall asleep in the store while you're shopping?" I replied I came in to place an order and just would like to do that, can I leave the dog at the front customer service area, she's in an enclosed stroller as Im a covid survivor with a weak immune system and cannot allow any public physical interaction. Rather than in typical Trader Joes style saying, "YES, lets get your order placed, let us know what parking spot you're in, we'll get you sorted out" he continues his campaign of interrogation which now has turned into humiliation. He asked me what I came to buy and as I started down the list, he replies ok .... ok .... and then asks me again "do you really think youre going to fall asleep when you're shopping, you dont look sick" and then follows that up with, "YOU REALLY SHOULDN'T BE IN THE STORE." Ive been shopping at Trader Joes for over 35 years in Orange County, CA much longer than this arrogant schmuck who offends a loyal customer, has been working there, and cannot express how if this man had an ounce of class, he would have treated me with a little more respect and dignity. I have never felt so humiliated in my life and obviously will never return to this store but even more disappointing is that TJ's has the same standard of Customer Service as Costco and Nordstrom's so I was absolutely shocked that he would take this situation to the extend of publicly humiliating me. I'd like to add that after much thought, I realized I was being asked to leave the store and to add insult to injury in this day and age, criminals who come in with the intention to steal are neither asked to leave or even confronted. It was not my intention to shop at TJ's today I just happened to be passing by and I happened to have my dog in the car, but in a million years never expected this kind of treatment. read more

The ONLY reason I removed a star is because of the size of the store. It is very small compared to the Trader Joe's I'm use to. Still a great selection and very well stocked. Staff is always friendly and lines are always a 5 minute or less wait. read more
