Restocking my favs with Trader Joe's is a must. I always feel like Alice in wonderland (only when she's intrigued curious). They have the best options for great tasting healthy pre made lunch ideas. I'm trying to keep good picks in reach, while staying fit in order to keep up with my daughter. She recently started school and let me tell you it's a struggle to eat right on the go. But y'all always come through with the goods, to keep mommy going and properly fueled. So I got to yelp about it. Having quick options that taste good is a must with added feelings of bliss, I mean no one wants to be healthy on brick, dirt, and saw tasting goods. I'm not saying there's never a miss a TJ's but I'm pleased 95% of the time. Especially with my bill. I visit this Trader Joes as a part of my weekly grocery routine. I have my staples which includes the amazing produce and snacks and every now and then I'll try something new because it's hard to pass on Ube ice cream or Triffle potatoe chips. One of my favorite parts about TJs is the floral selection. I love creating my own arrangements and love raiding their bouquet wall for my next creation. They have a gorgeous array of options to choose from. I'm also always pleased to be greeted with kindness by all of the employees. It's easy to make a new friend while traversing the crowded aisles in search of treasure. TJs employees are known for being some of the most present and helpful. The produce is always fresh and well stocked. They have beautiful flowers as well. My favorite when I come here are the frozen meals. I love keeping these in the freezer for days when I don't want to eat out but I want something filling. And they're quick and easy to prepare! I absolutely love Trader Joe's. I know we are behind in Louisiana as friends and family in other places had these decades ago but hey at least we got one and more to come here in La. There's nothing bad to say unless you dislike big busy crowds. If you get lucky on certain days it's not as bad though. I just sometimes feel like I'm in someone's way if we're hovering round the same section. Anyway never had a problem here the multiple times I went, just never made a review. The place looks like all the others all over the country. Just cute. The prices are great. The snacks are great. The holiday items are yum, tough when dieting but there's something for everyone. Great food selection, very fresh produce, best prices around. Although the store always has a crowd of shoppers, it is kept clean and orderly. Even the restrooms are well maintained. The extremely helpful, knowledgeable, and pleasant employees are all around the store and quick to offer assistance. They know their merchandise: their recommendations are on point. Trader Joe's is unique in its own way. The prices are pretty good if you are buying stuff made from their own brand but if you want a few of the "name brand" items than of course it costs a bit more. I wouldn't recommend shopping here for all of your groceries bc you won't find everything but it is a good place to go if you need to meet a budget and healthy alternatives. Staff is always pretty nice/helpful and they have really durable grocery bags that can be used after shopping. Other than that inside can be pretty hectic some days and other days can be pretty calm but it always is clean and in stock. read more

I have no comments about their store or service. They are not the best neighbors. A 18 wheeler has been parked for over an hour blocking a fire hydrant and right next to a No Truck Parking sign. The truck is from Brisk Transportation , LLC in Terrell TX and is truck number 24021. If this was an isolated incident I would not complain but this is all the time. read more

She even updated me by letting me know they had to move some pallets and that she would come find me. Trader Joe's is freaking amazing, but honestly who doesn't know that already Whenever I walk in to the store, I can automatically can feel the difference in the atmosphere versus any other grocery store I visit. Everyone usually is sooooo nice and really happy to be there, whether they are shoppers or workers. The cashiers are expert baggers and will chat with you about your day, which shows they are totally passionate about their jobs and providing exceptional customer service. They are genuine. I'm starting to fall in love with multiple items in the store. The best thing is if you Nate certain about a particular product and ask the right worker they will give the item free! I mean it can't get any better than that! They also have great flowers bunches and succulents. The best thing is they ensure they have enough staff working to support the intense high volume crowd through out the day which is nice to see them constantly stocking new products meaning everything at any given time is fresh. Great to see a Trader Joe's in Metairie with convenient location off of Veterans. Parking lot can get crowded during peak weekend times, may need to park further out in the lot. Trader Joe's is my goto store for several high quality low price groceries you can't find anywhere else. This is a great place to stock up on good wines at very reasonable prices. They have everything from Champagne, Sparkling Wines, Wine in Cola cans! And Wine in a BOX that your high class friends will enjoy--just don't tell them it's from a box! The quality of wine is Good to OutStanding depending on your budget. And when checking out they will put it all in a carry out box for you! Items such as Almond Milk, Turkey Bacon and regular large Eggs are of the best quality and checkout clerk opens the eggs them to make sure they are not cracked! Trader Joe's also carries their own branded cereals. For easy to cook meals I buy their ready to cook fried rice (Chicken, Japanese or Vegetable) along with a shrimp stir fry, broccoli & beef stir fry or a Mandarin Orange Chicken. Honestly I buy all of these and more to cook throughout the week. And what makes Trader Joe's truly the BEST place for grocery shopping is their employees who are more than happy to make a recommendation or give advice if you need help. They also have TWO employees at each check out station which is the fastest anywhere! It took maybe less than 2 minutes for me to checkout with two bags of groceries and a box loaded with 8 bottles of wine.. I highly recommend Trader Joe's for high quality groceries, wine and excellent service, but go on a weekday afternoon to avoid the crowds. read more

This is a Trader Joe's... if you've never been and are looking for a fun frozen or prepped foods section, plus some great produce, this is the place to stop. Also if you want fresh flowers, they almost always have a great selection of florals. I've really only started coming to this specific location during the Pandemic, and I know it's not entirely fair to judge it versus "normal" times, but that is the only measurement I have for this particular location. I have a friend who lives and dies by this locale and loves to shop here whenever possible. They have been trying to be really good about monitoring people as they come in and out of the store, limiting the numbers, wiping down carts, having plenty of cashier lanes open so that people don't get too bunched up while they're waiting. The line often extends down the length of the store, and sometimes the depth, of people just waiting to get in while they're limiting the numbers. Unfortunately, once you're inside, it still feels entirely too cramped to be safe, or to make for even a pleasant shopping experience. They have a number of specialty items that you cannot find anywhere else, but when we got there, this past February, the store shelves were mostly empty. I usually love going to Trader Joe's and have never had a bad experience but Kendall, my cashier, made sure to ruin that. Not sure what she was so pissed off about but she was aggressively grabbing and throwing everything in my basket. Like genuinely slamming my belongings. I have a strong infatuation with Trader Joe's and I tell everyone who listens that it is my go to grocer. They have almost all of my necessities and grocery needs. But the service is top notch, and it keeps me coming back! The food selection especially the quality of fresh produce and meat cannot be beat. There are no big box brands sold here, all private label foods, except for the wine and alcohol section. TJ's is known for their frozen foods-- since everything is high quality, delicious, and semi healthy with limited preservatives, added sodium, or sugar compared to national brands. The frozen foods are great if you need to pop something in the oven if you're having guests over, or if you need to fill up your own fridge. Every time I shop here, I always pick up something new and I have yet to be disappointed. The price point is also a little lower than the local Rouse's and has more of a selection than Target. During the pandemic, the staff has gone above and beyond following capacity limits and providing tents to shoppers waiting in the line to get inside. I've been shopping at Trader Joe's for so many years, that I actually remember what it used to look like with rows of nuts, dried fruits and muesli, isles of wines(when 2$ buck chuck was actually 2$), no frills.....and the staff in Hawaiian shirts. Then they grew and added bright colored signage and reusable totes, expanded their stocks. It was my number one go to for everything I needed in California. Then I moved in 2005 and I longed for TJs....every time I visited I purchased copious amounts of stuff that I would pack as souvenirs to bring back with me. I even requested a certain kind of bread for family and friends to load into their carry ons when visiting or returning home. Then the heavens parted and Trader Joe's came to New Orleans. Anyone from California will understand why we all cried tears of joy. I laugh at people who I see shopping now, long gone are the health food people or laid back beach residents; Now replaced by yoga attired folks, hipsters and ladies from Metairie, it makes for a good giggle. I can't wait to see if they build one down in the bayou.....I can only hope and pray or change my address. HOT TIP!: Read and shop from their flyer mag. Not only is it good fun reading, it will alert you on special limited supply items. Love this store, the workers are always so friendly and really hard working. In particular Kendall really makes my day anytime I'm in her line! My groceries are always bagged extremely well and she pays attention to detail such as eggs and fragile stuff bagged very carefully. First visit back after COVID. Very impressed with the organization of the store and how well the workers enforced physical distancing, store capacity and masks. While there was a line that wrapped around the store, the wait wasn't too bad. They even have an employee out offering water bottles to customers!! Besides the food, they had a wonderful selection of flowers, plants and succulents. I've always appreciated that Trader Joe's was reasonably priced. TJs is my preferred grocer. I don't have the privilege of living near by, but I still drive out to this location (165 miles from home) once every month or two to stock up on my favorites. Cooler in car, of course. Snacks galore. TJs has introduced me to so many snacking options over the years. Frozen food heaven. Produce is inexpensive. Live plants that are unique. I don't know where to begin, because Trader Joe's is just a different grocery experience. The parking lot can be a little congested on the weekends, so I usually shop here during the week. This location is the first and only Trader Joe's I've ever visited, and I must say that I really like it. The prices are very competitive and they carry some pretty cool merchandise - lots of organic, natural foods. They also have a fairly large selection of frozen foods. If you impromptu entertain a good bit, their frozen section is full of finger foods that are perfect to pop in the oven at a moments notice. They also have a great cheese section, and near the cheese, voila, the wine. If you're a Gouda cheese fan, they carry a great aged one - 1000 Days. It. Is. So. Good. Please know that you aren't likely to find specific brands here, as most items are packaged as their own. They also lack a fresh butcher section, but they do have a selection of prepackaged meats, that works if you're looking for things like chicken or pork. I can't neglect to mention the customer service, because I think these folks fell from heaven. Their employees are some of the nicest people on the planet. I have shopped here on my most hurried and harried days, and I ALWAYS leave feeling better than when I arrived. They are friendly, kind and so knowledgeable about the inventory. They seem to know exactly where every product in the store is located, and they all seem to possess this innate patience. It's so worth it to check out everything from the produce to the non perishables to the dairy to the bread. Give your self some time to peruse the store. I've found some amazing buys here at such great prices, and I'm always looking forward to my next visit. read more

Holy moly this Trader Joe's ROCKS!!!!! I love the staff there, seriously, they're always so amazing and nice! I love all the vegan options TJs has to offer plus their produce, fruits/veggies are always in good shape and well priced. Their new Vegab Tika Masala is oh so good!!!! And the vegan kale pesto and new vegan dips are totally worth trying out!!! Lots of parking, pretty conveniently located off Veterans. The staff at Trader Joe's are the friendliest group of people you will ever interact with in the service industry. The customer service golden standard is now Trader Joe's employees and not Chick-fil-a. I couldn't find the celery and an employee stopped me and ask if he could help me find something. He pointed me right to it. While I was searching for plant-based butter, the employee restocking the shelves gave me a warm smile and ask, "How are you doing today?" I received a warm smile from every employee I made eye contact with. Bottom line: super, super friendly people! Also, Trader Joe's has better prices and quality of food. For example, the bell peppers cost on average $.30 less here than they do at Winn Dixie. Purchasing fresh produce can quickly add up, so it's a great thing that the dollar goes further here. Also, they carry jackfruit, and most other grocery stores do not. Top three things I love about Trader Joe's: 1. They only use paper bags and encourage shoppers to use reusable bags. 2.
