I love this place! It's very inexpensive, the selection is just enough and the staff is super friendly! I'm very big in to eating healthy but I'm on a budget. This place is the way to go. Trader Joe's is madness but worth the crazy. Prices are right and while their selection may seem limited, there's few things you can't find. The fact that I live less than 3 blocks away from Trader Joe's is a true blessing! I deducted 1 star because I've come across many things in the store that are either expired or will expire in 1 or 2 days. With that, the prices are so ridiculously low that I could spend $100 and eat for over a week on great foods like meats, veggies, dairy, and other basics, which I can't manage to do at any other grocery store. Trader Joe's was definitely late to this Miami market because it is completely packed all.the.time. Try to avoid it on the weekends. You won't find brand name foods, since mostly everything is Trader Joe's brand but everything is top notch. They have an excellent frozen food selection (especially Indian dishes and carrot cake). I made it to Trader Joe on opening day, I was in line by 7:30. Maneuvering inside was hectic but once the announcement was made that cars parked at Burger King and Furniture City would be towed it got a lot easier to move my shopping cart around. I'll defiantly be back to Trader Joe, once the grand opening hype drowns down. Some of the items I picked up that I love Diet ginger ale-- chocolate chip -(minimum ingredients/can pass for vegan) ginger cookies cookie butter mean green juice frozen lemonade (no corn syrup, makes awesome margarita) Ginger Broth apple cinnamon goat cheese (freakin delicious) Wasn't a fan of the sprouted bread, chocolate chip cookie, peanut satey, pepper jelly. Salsa (although the ingredients list didn't include anything artificial it still tasted like crap) Mint body wash The only major complaint I have about this place is the distance. I'm near North Miami, so I cant just stop by for one item meaning each time I make the trip I have to stock up although, every thing is priced reasonable it adds up. Also, with the parking fiasco I'll probably have to schedule my shopping trips early morning meaning be there by 8 am, the chocolate chips alone makes the early trip worth it. read more

As my one star indicates, I've experienced better. From the very start parking has been a huge problem. This is like trying to get a size 10 foot into a size 7 parking lot. On my two previous visits I went early enough to avoid crowds and get parking. But today on a swing north after picking up some fresh Flounder at Captain's Tavern we thought it might be worth a try to get some fresh produce for tonight's meal at Trader Joe's. Well, parking was problematic, but we found a spot in the back. Shopping was OK, found a few items we wanted to try. But only a few, like way under ten. That's when we ran into a problem. There is no Express checkout, "under ten" lane at Trader Joe's. So I picked what looked like a lane that would move fast. Sadly the cashier was slower than molasses running uphill in January, in Vermont! Not only was she so slow that the customer had to bag his own goroceries, but he had to put the bags on the floor because she kept his cart way back by us, as far away from him as possible. She was sooo slooow it was painful. He paid in cash, and that took her quite a time to get that figured out and get him his change, Then she painstakingly re-arranged his bags in his cart and he had to keep picking them up off the floor and handing them to her. Finally he was done. I asked her if Trader Joe's had Express lanes. She just shrugged and said no. When I pressed her on why she said "we just want to treat all the customers the same". Yeah, her exact words. Too bad Trader Joe's doesn't hire help that is all the same. It was painful to watch the cashier behind mine go through two customers while we stood there, with only 6 items and had to wait and watch this slow torture. "Never again" said my spouse, her first and last time at this Trader Joe's. Guys, you could learn a thing or two from Publix. Maybe then you could charge like Epicure and get away with it. read more

Trader Joe's has often eluded me throughout the last ten years I have known of its existence.Now, it's within walking distance! So it's become our go-to grocery store. Even after all of the hype, I am quite satisfied with its selection. Below, are some of the good and bad finds the boyfriend and I have discovered since it opened. All are vegetarian-friendly finds. Favorite buys: -organic produce and bread (heads up: shelf life is much shorter) -Mozzarella balls in olive oil (beware: there's ones in water too (yuck!)) -frozen foods (none have disappointed, thus far) -Tofurkey franks are cheaper here than Publix! -Charles Shaw (aka two-buck chuck) Merlot. If you like red wines, this one is the best I've tried of their selection so far. -Super Nutty Toffee Clusters! Best cereal there. Definitely not the healthiest for you. -Olive ciabatta bread and pretzel roll (both are chewy and fresh. The pretzel roll's texture is more like a bagel. The olive bread has a great olive-y taste to it) -Stuffed pasta: raviolis, tortellinis, etc (we've tried many varieties and they were all generously filled and tasty!) -Cookie butter with chocolate swirl (this is based off of a Belgian cookie called Speculoos whose popularity is akin to an Oreo in the States. When we moved back, this was something we often missed. Its flavor is not exact, but close enough. For a more accurate flavor, you can buy Lotus brand Speculoos cookies and spread in publix by the Nutella and PB.) Not so good: -cereals (some of the flavors fall flat) EXCEPT Super Nutty Toffee Clusters, as mentioned above. -ice cream. We're obsessed with Blue Bell and buying locally made icecream. TJ's brand tastes too much like soy. Definitely not creamy enough for us. -chai tea. Tasted too much like ginger/ vinegar to us. But we don't like ginger, so this might not apply to all. read more

So you can imagine my excitement when I found out that one was not only opening in Miami, but that it wasn't too far from my house and job! They have incredible prices and awesome quality products. A fan of and like Trader Joe products, can't be beat. Only problem Miami stroe.is the parking lot from Hell. Shop between 8am to 10am and after 8pm. Otherwise you'll be dealing with agitated people looking for parking. I prefer the Pines Blvd. location, much larger store with mucho parking. Love Trader Joe's. The staff is always very helpful and I love their wine selection. I dont come here often because it is not close to me but when I'm around I love to stop by. They seem to have missed the mark on parking. I found the store difficult to navigate. When we arrived at the checkout, the customer ahead of us had a large order. Our check out person, Gail, seemed to have difficulty completing the order. More disconcerting was seeing this woman wiping her nose w her fingers. (The thought that this woman would be handling my groceries was horrifying). After several calls for help and ringing of the bell, assistance finally arrived. Finally. My wish came true. TJ's made it to SFL, Miami specifically. I first encountered TJ's on my trips to the west coast and I became a fan immediately. This store is just a bit smaller than the ones I remember in CA, but am glad they have a presence. I hesitated going to their grand opening as I try to avoid crowds. As other reviewers mentioned, they do not carry everything as a regular grocery store; but the things they do carry, especially their private brands, are phenomenal in quality and price, many things organic. They also carry many seasonal and specialty items that I simply must have. Another thing I noticed is that the clerks are very friendly and enthusiastic about working at TJ's. I've never had a problem with parking. Catch me here on Sat or Sun mornings, at least once or twice a month. read more

I have studied the model on trader joe's and I know what they offer as far as customer service and items. Their motto is customer service and friendly conversation with staff. I have been less than a handful of times and I except a different environment than a regular grocery store since I make a trip from south beach. I am disappointed that I don't feel that way. Everyone is stressed around the holidays and I still get better happier faces at the car wash! The lady actually scoffed at me when I asked about the wine. I have driven the 20 minutes to this store too many times to find things out of stock. I have actually only been able to make a purchase once or twice because they are out of what I'm looking for. You can't have a specialty store and not have inventory to keep up with the demand. And if the demand is so high and the inventory is so low, then you should put a limit on the number of items one person can buy. read more

Great grocery shopping. Everything is of great quality and amazing prices! The best thing in the store is the Cookie Butter. It's like peanut butter, but made out of ginger snap cookies...delicious! Try dipping the cinnamon sugar pita chips in it! It's addictive. Can't wait to try the cookie butter cheesecake...trader Joe's has amazing and cheap wine. The beer selection is great too. I wish they would open an Aventura location so that I don't have to pack a suitcase to venture down to the Pinecrest location. My go to place for groceries, because most of their products are organic, seasonal and cheap. The only problem is that things run out so quickly and the place is so small so it's like a Miami traffic jam, but with carts. I love the aloe Vera juice and since it runs out so quickly I had requested to put an order in (which you can do) to reserve 12 bottles. They told me they would call me later that day when the shipment came in, but they never called. Other than that experience, everyone is usually pretty friendly and helpful. read more

I've known of Trader Joes for awhile, they were common in Cali when I lived there. I heard about this location opening two years ago, however I lived farther north and it was kind of a drive so I never came.....but I'm now living in the area and couldn't be more thrilled! I've been to this Trader Joes a few times already and really enjoy coming. The employees are really nice. It's a small store and gets packed though, I would not come on a Sunday afternoon again. Some things are a lil more expensive than at a Winn Dixie's, but I like the variety and it being a smaller store, you get groceries done faster, which I happen to like, I don't like taking forever to get my groceries. LOVE this place, one of the things I miss about LA. Though the store is on the small side they have a really awesome selection of organic products at very reasonable prices. I live in downtown and I hate driving. Especially driving through US-1! Trader Joes is the only reason I'll get on that awful road and has now become part of my weekend routine. Love love love . Listen Chinese food we got was so cheap and honestly no grease it was delicious . It's our go to for Chinese food and wine . Miami does not have much in the way of organic wallet-friendly markets, so this was a very welcome addition to the 305. Produce is consistently excellent. The beer & wine selection is huge, flavorful and beyond cheap. They carry their own brand which makes everything affordable yet without sacrificing quality.
