Trader Joe's is great! The only setback at this location is that parking can be tough on busy days. There is a larger parking lot at the back of the store so don't be scared away by the crowded front lot. read more

I have visited here twice. I am going to start off with the chaotic parking situation. They have hired someone to direct traffic which is a good effort on their part, however it seems like it causes more traffic because the attendant is standing in the middle of the street and cars stopped and hesitate to park. There's barely any parking on top of this. Secondly I think that the actual shopping experience is also very chaotic. The aisles always seem disorganized no matter what time of day you visit. Perhaps if they set up the store in a different manner, it would be easier to shop there. read more

I love this joint! I live in the downtown area but frequently drive down to the Dadeland area to do some relaxing fun grocery shopping. Who would ever put those words in a single sentence! I would love for a Trader Joes to open in the downtown area...they would definitely be great competitors for other overpriced similar establishments. The shopping experience here is always pleasant. The aisles are well organized and everything is easily found. The prices are also very very reasonable when compared to whole foods and fresh market. For good, organic foods the prices are so affordable. I rarely shop organic at whole foods and fresh market because it can get so costly and unreasonable at times..I also like that there is always a sampler station so one can try different drinks and foods the store has to offer. The fruits and vegetables are always fresh and so are the meats and other produce. I also have made alcoholic purchase which is also very reasonable for good beverages. I have purchased wines and various craft beer selection. The ones I've tried were delicious and worth the price. Great deals under $10. No one can beat that price, right! One can also purchase a variety of fresh flowers for so inexpensive..the staff is also friendly at least everytime I have been there they are always helpful and pleasant. read more

My love affair with Trader Joe's began a couple years ago when I visited two of their locations...one in Tennessee and one in DC (I am a poet and don't even know it!) I was so jelly they had not come down to Florida yet. And lo and behold with the closing of Borders...came a new beginning and a Trader Joe's finally. Let me start of by addressing their amazing staff! They are always so nice, helpful and great conversationalists! Their produce is fresh and well priced as is their meat department. They have so many specialty items from truffle oil to cookie butter...ohhh cookie butter you evil delicious concoction! If you haven't tried it run run now and get it! Their spice mixes are freaking amazing...there are way too many great things to list in just one review! But let's talk wine...and beer and wine...they have quite the selection in a very broad price range from 2.99 (two buck Chuck ) to high end wine. Their in house sommelier makes great suggestions based on your assessed palate....did I mention cookie butter...sigh..oh and their Gorgonzola oyster crackers divine...I must cease and desist...I am getting hungry! Its a fun grocery shop that gets you out of the funk of walking through endless aisles of boredom in the aforementioned establishments.. You go to TJ's like you go to Fresh Market perhaps...looking for something different and in TJ's case, inexpensive and creative. So go, have fun, enjoy the quick check out and the chat with the staff who are always ready to help you find something you need or something you want and didn't even know!. I have been going to this building since when borders bookstore first opened here and now still going to this building but now its a trader joes. I love this place. And technically its in walking distance from my home. I love this trader joes more than the one up at FSU. This once is bigger and better fresh produce selection. What a refreshing place to grocery shop! I hadn't heard of Trader Joes until my sister-in-law mailed me a few chocolate bars in the mail this past year. I googled it about a month ago and was surprised to see one so close to my house. I stopped by and was so excited seeing all of the fresh produce and insanely-priced meats/snacks/wines! I kept my purchase small, chocolates, cheese, and chips, to get a feel for the items purchased. I went back again a few days ago and bought a LOT more, everything is incredible! We bought three New York strips, amazingly tender and a perfect amount of fat to provide necessary juice. Several cheeses, including a fat wedge of triple cream brie, and their caramelized onion cheddar. Of course, I also grabbed several craft beers and a 6 pack of trader Jose's. My boyfriend and I both agreed that it's more refreshing than the 'other' beers available in stores. I have yet to have a bad experience at Trader Joes! read more

After hearing for months how fabulous Trader Joe's is, I finally made it there this evening. I got there 30 mins before closing and there was ample parking. I grabbed a basket and headed inside, and after perusing a few aisles I immediately noticed how affordable everything was! I packed up my basket with quite a few goodies and headed to the checkout area. The person that checked me out was friendly, informative and seemed to like working with the public...a rarity in Miami! She took the time to tell me all about the TraderJoe's brand and the fact that their products have no artificial coloring, flavors or preservatives, and no GMO's. I'm really impressed that they are able to sell such quality food at such a competitive price. I could easily do my primary grocery shopping here! I do hope they will eventually expand and add a bakery, deli and hot food/soup area. If they do, the competition will be in big trouble!! read more

I'm in love1 I've heard of the hype surrounding TJs for years. Hell I even signed an FB petition to bring them down to Miami! But now is when I finally made my way down to Pinecrest. On our first visit we just grabbed things that looked interesting, mostly frozen quick meals and wines. Within a week we went back, this time stocking up on veggies, fruits, dairy, fish, etc. The prices are truly amazing and the quality is excellent.. Its also amazing how packed this place gets even that its been open for almost a year. People even go on dates to TJs..we saw many couples just browsing isles holding hands..pretty comical if you ask me. But regardless of your reason for going to TJs you will not leave without some interesting, totally non-essential gourmet item just because..its really part of the experience. But they do have a lot more to offer. The produce is very inexpensive and so are the eggs, cheese, yogurts and other traditional items. I seriously cannot wait until they open up in Pembroke Pines, but until then I do not mind the bi-monthly visits to Kendall! read more

This is a great place. People are friendly and prices are more convenient than Whole foods. Parking is a bit annoying and chaotic, especially on weekends. However, the employees are nice and helpful. You will find a variety of healthy options. They also sell cactuses, roses and orchids. They have a large selection of wines. I was a fan of TJ when I had business travel so i was excited when it opened near my house. There are gems there but you have to take time to look closely. I have assumed that their products are the same as everywhere else but have been pleasantly surprised. Dried pineapple is soooo good, freeze dried mangoes yummy, sweet and salty popcorn really good, pretzel bread is delicious, etc....fruit is good and priced better than some of the other "trendy" grocery stores. I walked over to Trader Joe's 9205 S. Dixie Hwy. to pick up some fruit and vegetables. My total purchase was $13.72. I thought that was very reasonable so decided to walk the few blocks to Publix 9105 S. Dadeland Blvd. and compare prices. This is what I found. I weighed everything at Publix with what I already had purchased in my T.J. bag to make sure I was comparing apples to apples. I took the prices with nothing on sale. The first prices here are from T.J. Cauliflower $2.29, Black beans 89c, Brussels Sprouts (1lb), $2.49, Baby Spinach $1.99 (6ozs) Red Bell Pepper 99c for a 12 oz pepper, Organic Carrots 89c (1 lb), Blackberries $3.99 (18ozs), Banana 19c. Total $13.72. Then I priced the same items at Publix some items weighed less at Publix so I adjusted the cost to correspond with the T.J. weights. Cauliflower $5.09, same weight as T.J. Black Beans 89c, Brussels Sprouts $5.98 (1lb) 2 x 8oz packages $2.99 each, Baby Spinach $4.90 adjusted price because Publix spinach only weighed 5oz, Red Bell Pepper $2.25 for a 12oz pepper, Organic carrots $1.29, Blackberries $7.63, 18 oz adjusted price by weight, Banana 40c. I was disappointed with the limited gluten free items sold; true gluten free food items. I suffer from Celiac so just having the package say gluten free is not good enough for me. It's so disappointing when I see gluten free on the front but when I read the back it states--manufactured in a facility that processes wheat. Wheat=gluten. So frustrating. read more

I have be going here for years because most items are top quality and reasonably in priced. More recently, I have been paying more attention to quantity/quality versus price and have determined that you really have to step back and do the math on whether the item is a true value or not. Take the few minutes to look at this. Today I had a horrible pre-made salad that when I got home had to throw out all the lettuce and sort through the rest of the ingredients to re-make my salad. The lettuce in the container was brown with old bitter ends, soggy, walnuts limp, and I could hardly find the gorgonzola. Not exactly a value at over $3. On the positive side, I must say their Tuscan low fat marinara sauce very good as are many other items. I have had issues with other "fresh" items, such as celery, head lettuce and some fruit, so just be very careful in your choices. If Whole Foods prices go down more, this may be a better alternative for me. read more

On sun jun 22 2014 after 5:00 we went grocery shopping in the rain.we were in the store for about an hour and a half when the power failed the manager named Donna said for everyone to leave the store.It is insane to me in this day and age that trader joes does not have a generator to back up there power since there are in other county's in the state.Shame on the CEO of this company for not putting the money to solve this very simple issue which South Floridians are used to when hurricane season is bearing down upon us.you had managers running around putting cardboard on the refrigeration coolers so the food does not spoil,that is very dangerous .bottom line more than 30 people including myself walked out with nothing due to poor planning and horrible management .we will come back but it is said the management did nothing for the customers that were stuck in the store leaving there grocery's behind.Shame on Trader Joes Pinecrest! well this being the closest one to where I live but I am here in Boise Idaho. I WILL NOT BE RETURNING to Trader Joe's at ANY LOCATION. I purchase a number of their Malawali coffees, the one when it's gone it's gone. When I returned almost two weeks after they were gone, 0 bags on the shelf, to grind my coffee as I like my coffee freshly ground when possible, and I followed protocol so when I entered I showed my item and my purchase receipt to the asst mgr up front and told him of my intentions to grind the coffee I purchased much earlier. He stated no problem go ahead. Well I went to the coffee grinding station and I poured the coffee into the grinder and discarded the bag. I asked the clerk in appetizing, which is right next to the coffee grinder, to cut the bag and explained to him the engineering of the bag is poor and the when you grind the coffee it pours all over the place. As I left I took a second sample of a tiny piece of appetizer (pig in a blanket). I guess he was upset at that. I normally try a sample twice to confirm my first impression. Sometimes I buy, sometimes I pass. Well unbeknownst to me he had followed me thru a maze in the store and as I was exiting the store he shouted out "You Have To Pay For That Coffee" At first I didn't realize he was talking to me after all I wasn't walking out improperly without paying. I was in shock when I realized he was referring to me. Everyone in the store had turned around and the manager at the front desk looked up and got up. I pulled out my receipt and told him "this was paid for and there are none of these coffees for sale anymore the store ran out of them almost 2 weeks ago." He looked at the bag he had taken our of the trash that I had discarded and then realized what a fool he was. He DID NOT offer any apology for humiliating me in the middle of the store (by the exit) nor did the manager come over to offer an apology. NEVER AGAIN Trader Joe's lost a customer!!! read more

Love Trader Joes except I will not be going back for awhile. I have to recover from paying over $100 to get my car back from being towed from the Burger King lot next door. It was an expensive grocery bill!! I never park at the BK because I've heard stories of towing but as I stood waiting for a parking spot, I noticed TJ customers returning to their cars parked in the BK lot. Exactly 14min later (I know this because I have a text message with a time stamp once I arrived and when I left the TJ's), I return and I realize my car has been towed. Of course I am extremely angry. Is this really fair, is this necessary??? People shopping at Trader Joes are trying to feed their families. I find out it'll be over $100 to get my car back. It is not easy to make $100 to just give it away. The manager at BK said no one called to report it. The tow company insisted someone had called. It is very suspicious to me. Who authorized the tow?? In fact, the tow receipt states the call was made 15min BEFORE I even arrived to the BK and parked. How did they get a call on my vehicle when it was not even in the lot? The time it states that it left the lot, was AFTER I made the call to the tow company to ask if my car had been towed. I think someone at Burger King is working with the tow company to get cars towed out of the lot. Beware, I thought the towing had stopped. Apparently not. I've placed this comment on the BK corporate website as well as emailing them. Let's see if anything will be done. read more
