Every time I come to Trader Joe's I find something new. The first time I came I bought some snacks, some fruit, some ice cream. All the stuff was pretty good, so I definitively ventured in for a second trip. The second time, I got some frozen foods, some salads, some breads. The frozen foods were surprisingly tasty, so that led me to another visit. Now, my better half makes a weekly trip to Trader Joe's, and I could say that I am between a casual shopper and a regular. From all my trips to Trader Joe's, I have certainly made a list of my favorites, with my number one being the Habanero Sauce, then the Mochi (Strawberry and Chocolate), all the tamales, the cheese hot dogs and the frozen waffles. I am always trying something new so even if I am not big on frozen foods, I always pick a new microwaveable entree to try out. What I have noticed, without really having to read up on Trader Joe's, is that Trader Joe's is a brand more than a supermarket. Almost everything in the shop is made by Trader Joe's. It is surprising that the taste of the food is great and that there are no yuks! or ews! but only "I like it!" But beware, I have also noticed how Trader Joe's cross sells their own products, the most obvious instance is salads and salad dressings, although there are countless examples. This may lead you to pick up an extra item, just 'cause. Another characteristic that Trader Joe's is developing in Miami is a great condensation of elderly shoppers. They are not like your nana, not at all, these seniors are aggressive and impatient. You will get bumped and leaned into more than once. You could defer your indignation towards the small space. Yes, Trader Joe's is a small place. If you don't look and touch every item, your visit will be a very short one. The small square footage influences the perception of price, since you never will go over $100 like at the bigger markets, where you buy as much as possible and walk many aisles. But after all, coming to Trader Joe's is like being on vacation. The place feels tropical inside and you may forget you are in Miami. You look at the shelves and find products that excite you, and you don't really care about the price. Just like when you are on a getaway. Just be careful of what you pick and check your expiration dates. And not everything is organic, although everything is healthier than at other markets, if you are into reading labels. Even though its been quite some time since Trader Joe's opened, "tourist" shoppers still come here. If you come here, you will hear lots of "it's my first time here". Then, you will have to wait behind people who are looking at the produce like if it was art. Be civil and go around, or enjoy the vegetables. For prices, good food, tasty food, the Trader Joe's brand is a winner. read more

I've been meaning to do this review for awhile but Trader Joe's has become my new go to spot for groceries. Ever since the restrictions on finding have been made it's been home cooked meals all day every day so thank goodness TJ's is so affordable. I was a die hard Whole Foods/Publix fan but this place is downright amazing! The quality of the food is top notch. My favorites are the Falafel and the various types of raviolis. Everything is neatly organized and the staff is super helpful and friendly. I also love that they abide buy the Covid protocol really really well. They give you a wipe to sanitize the cart down and also abide by social distancing. They will have a staff member walk around with a cutely decorated sign that says "6feet" and a team member over the loud speakers reminds customers to stay six feet apart. They also have hand sanitizer at the entrance and signage on the floor directing the flow of foot traffic. The line outside the store mid day does build up but they have a tent that keeps guests covered which is great for those extra hot days- it's a godsend. Their wine selection isn't that bad either. If you're not looking to splurge they have some good options but I really have come to love this place. Like I said Whole Foods was my go to but TJ's is so much more affordable and for the price and quality you can't beat it. Thank you Trader Joe's for making shopping feel safe. read more

Okay let me preface by saying that I have gone to many Trader Joe's in the NE part of the country and I cant help but compare them to the one here in SOFLA. But having said that, I was ecstatic when they opened here. I had been waiting for years for TJ's to finally make it down to good 'ol Miami. Anyway, my wish came true! The service is always great, they're helpful, happy people! They even heave the beads they wear when the workers are on the floor and are there to answer all your questions. I really love their products haven't had many misses in that department. They have a vast (almost too big) selection of wines. The only criticism I have is that there is no fresh fish or meat market! But it is a very small location and very conveniently located 5 mins away from my place. It won't break your bank like the other place (Whole Foods) but I still have to rotate between the two for different things... :) Parking could be a pain at times, but people don't go during the peak hours of grocery shopping and you should manage! read more

Everytime I stop by Tj's I feel as If I was are a high end grocery store if there was one. Trader Joe's is not an expensive grocery store at all, as a matter of fact some of the prices are my lower than a Publix. They have specialty items and their wines are pretty cheap too. It's small bit cozy. I just enjoy shopping here. I don't go too often but a few times a year. A lot of their products have their own brand and that is how they can pass the savings to their patrons. I work in the food industry as a supplier so I know a little about chain stores. Definitely a fun place to shop! read more

I never go to Trader Joe's because it is a little far out of my way. I've only been three times since they have opened. Today I decided to go because I've been following them on Instagram and seen some delicious drinks and food I wanted to try. They open at 9am and we got there at 9:10am. The Trader's Joe associate handed us a wipe to wipe down the cart. I thought it was for my hands. Lol. Upon entry, it was already crowded and it was really, really cold. I am not used to it so I don't know where anything is. But I purchased a berry sparkling drink and little ice creams that are sooo good. I went there to purchase oat milk, but they didn't have. I only wish they had a Trader Joe's in West Kendall area. In the meantime, I'll definitely be back. The cashiers and associates are soo nice and helpful. Trader Joe's has great food and always fresh. However, since this location opened the customer service has gradually gone downhill and today I am sorry to say was nonexistent! The guy who rang me up was in such a hurry looking around not even making eye contact (he looked that someone who was completely spooked by something) kept stuffing the bags and I kept asking me to make them LIGHT because I cannot carry more than 5lbs. This has happened numerous times before too. Well when I got to my car I found that every bag except for one weighted so much I had to wait and ask a gentleman to please help me put them in my car. Then I rolled my cart over to a young lady who was unpacking a delivery and asked can I leave this here cause the parking lot is full and I don't want it to hit any car. She looked at me and said "no you need to walk it to the front of the store"! What?!? Wait?!? RUDE Ah nooooo I DONT NEED TO WALK IT ANYWHERE. I don't work here. I'm a fan of Trader Joe's to the extent that I really like Trader Joe's prices and though their selections are extremely limited, I appreciate the unique mix of the selections they offer. They have a good selection of quality for the price wines and it is here I've actually found some rather proper Sangiovese varietal based Montepulcianos and Corvina Valpolicellas at prices far less than those at any other wine outlet. Also some very good sauces, a decent nut selection along with unique near oddity condiments, a decent produce section, and an extremely helpful, friendly service staff. However the downsides are near nonexistent seafood and rather skimpy meat selection. For those later items I'm far better of shopping elsewhere. The other serious downsides are parking and crowding. The parking is limited, can be a horrific nightmare, and during prime shopping hours the crowd of patrons can be so maddening I would strongly suggest that you should in no way even consider trying to shop here. Hence, the Four Stars I'm awarding it are extremely qualified and if it weren't for the unique mix at value prices, about the best I could otherwise go for this rather small store with such a limited offering would be but Two Stars. read more

Last night was the first time ever I stepped into a Trader Joe's - it was the same for my boyfriend. We went in with one goal in mind and one goal in mind only: TO GET MOCHI ICE CREAM. Needless to say, we went, found parking, and went nuts searching everywhere. My boyfriend ended up finding the mochi ice cream right away and I bought some mango and strawberry-flavored ones. I AM ECSTATIC. We then went to the cashier and had the sweetest lady attend us. Her name is Kathryn. She was extremely nice, efficient, and she even made some conversation with us about when we should go to Trader Joe's. Apparently Sundays are the worst. I wouldn't know - it was busy, sure, but it didn't seem insane to me. Overall, this store served its purpose, employees were helpful, and the lighting was quite bright. TJ's is sort of like combining Whole Foods or Fresh Market with the concept and pricing of Aldi. Actually, Aldi Nord is the parent company of TJ's. My younger sister has been raving about this place when she first discovered it on the other side of the state, and I've been to a store when I visited LA a few years ago. I'm glad we finally got one here, now we just need more of them! There are a lot of specialty items here, some of them are seasonal like all the pumpkin-related items that the store opened with, most of which I was told was scoffed up over the veterans day weekend and now being replaced with other stuff for the upcoming holidays. Good thing I got my pumpkin pancakes, pumpkin butter, pumpkin bread, pumpkin scones, and pumpkin ice cream in time! Not a pumpkin spice fan? I was once a Trader Joe's skeptic. I wrote it off as some yuppie shop for buying bulk granola. While my assessment wasn't totally wrong, I was neglecting all of the great products they have. Most Trader Joe's locations carry almost exactly the same products. This location doesn't deviate from others in its product offerings. Some of my highlights are a variety of cheeses; seasonal salad kits; seasonal types of squash; all kinds of tasty crackers; seasonal pancake mixes, fresh ciabatta bread; pretzel rolls; frozen fish burgers; mochi ice cream; chocolate chip ice cream sandwiches; frozen entrees from various international cuisines; loose leaf tea, etc. All of these are offered at fairly reasonable prices. My rating, though is based more on the execution of this specific location. The employees are nice, everyone seems to be working hard, and the store is kept clean. The organization of the store, however, leaves a bit to be desired. The aisles are too narrow for the amount of traffic in there, so there is a lot of cart maneuvering and people bumping into one another. A lot of the aisles are also at an angle, which makes things even more awkward when you realize this means you have to make sharp turns with a cart. For such a busy location, the aisles should have been more spacious. The parking lot is also a bit small and on weekends this means you may have to wait several minutes to find parking, plus avoiding have your car hit by a cart or vice versa can be a little frustrating. Trader Joe's is a good place to shop for both staples and luxury items at reasonable prices, but this particular location can be a bit difficult to navigate. Try to come on weekdays during work hours and especially in the morning the get through unscathed. read more

If I had a rough week or need something to treat myself, I know I can always count on Trader Joe's to lift my spirits up. Parking lot is free but small. However, they have amazing parking attendants standing outside in the Florida heat that organizes the parking situation in an orderly manner. So you know you don't have to drive around to fight for a spot with another car. Trader Joe's is always great with customer service and this location has fantastic customer service! Super friendly and ready to answer your questions. Don't forget to try out the samples! Their employees are there to give it with a smile. I love TJs with their diverse selections and incredible affordable prices for healthier alternatives! Most of the things I buy here are usually less than $8. Here are some of my favorites: -Mochi (great price! great taste! mango and the coffee one is delicious!) -Matcha powder/can (authentic Japanese matcha flavor for a great price) -Seasoning! I usually Love TJ's and I am grateful that there is one near me but I feel like I need to write a review for them to improve. I've never written one ever about TJs and feel that this is necessary. I've been to many across the country and have frequented a few over the years. This mostly pertains to the staff. I feel like half of them are professional and very friendly while the other half are not professional and kind of force you to have conversations with them. Today, I felt as though one of the cashiers was aggressive with her question and when I couldn't hear her, she became rude. As a customer, I have days that I don't feel like talking that much and I shouldn't be forced to converse with people if I don't want to. Her mood literally changed while I was talking to her and I wasn't rude or anything so I am shocked as to why. I have had other instances similar to this one at this particular location and all I want to do is shop without being hassled or dealing with attitudes. Being friendly should not entail someone aggressively asking me questions. It's all about reading the room and that is service 101. Like I said, most of the staff are generally sweet but I have been put off by some instances of some staff being too personal and too aggressive with their customer service approach. I also have found that some of the staff do not care if a customer is near them, they will act like we aren't there when packing and going through the aisles. The lines to park your car are a hassle and don't even think of parking at the Burger King next door. I saw a tow truck (tow truck drivers are the lowest form of human in my opinion) haul a Suburban in about 30 seconds Once inside, lots of fun stuff and priced right that make the parking issues worth it. Costumer service is top notch and something that Joe prides in. Pro tip - The Bean Dip is what I imagine the poop of god to taste like. That might sound gross to you but trust me. If good poops, its going to be the most glorious poop ever and it will probably taste like this bean dip. read more

I love grocery shopping here. All produce is fresh and well priced. I like to think of it as a sister store to Whole Foods but at much reasonable pricing. I come here every tine I do groceries and I actually drive about 45 minutes from my home just to come to them. I live in Homestead but it's worth every mile! My husband and I are in love with their veggie pizza sold in the frozen aisle. I always pack no less than 3 boxes!! Their Trader Joe's signature wine is delicious as well it pairs well with the pizza and their large selection of cheeses. One thing about them I love is their workers. This is my first time at trader Joe's and I L O V E D it! I found parking easily, and the store isn't so big but I think it's just the right size. It wasn't packed but pretty busy. They were offering samples of baked pumpkin pie. But the reason why I had to come to this labyrinth of random heavenly deliciousness is because of chesse. This weekend we had a pumpkin patch with trader Joe's wine and cheese. It was love at first taste when I saw the apple cinnamon goat cheese. It is so perfect and delicious. Parking took a little bit of time due to how packed the place was but with some help with the employees in the lot directing traffic it didn't take long at all. I love their products. Every time I come I find something new. The uniqueness and the variety is impressive. But... customers are invisible to their employees. They act like their main purpose is to hang out with each other. They don't even notice when you are struggling to reach for something while they stand around and chit-chat. Every time I come, I get an earful; as if they were out in a social setting. I love they are so happy, but really, should you share yourself and your joy with yiucustomer just a little more! On a crazy crowded day, like Saturday's always are, I was getting shoved around by people that won't even make eye contact with you or blatantly just move you out of the way. Sher actually caught my attention when she said "Excuse me" in a super polite way! I was so happy to hear someone's voice saying something NICE, I thanked her out loud. We had a quick conversation about how nice it is to actually use your voice. Later, as I walked to the register she caught up with me to thank me with a super cute bouquet of flowers! For years I've been reading and hearing that Trader Joe's is the market to shop at. I don't have one close to me so it didn't seem plausible for me to jump on the bandwagon. However, I recently was looking for items I could not find in my usual go to markets so I decided to make the trip and drive to the closest Trader Joe's to me. Let me start of by saying, there was lots of people. We came on a Saturday evening and wow was it BUSY. The parking lot is small but thankfully there is security guards/parking attendant helping guide you to empty parking stop. Getting around the store was obviously hectic but there was so much to see that I was distracted. I was able to find the items I was looking for: ghee butter and liquid stevia - but of course, slowly, I starting seeing all the other items I could buy and left with my cart full. Trader Joe's has definitely made it on my list for grocery shopping. There is so many healthy, organic, non gmo options. This is really important to me as I try and make better food choices for myself and my loved ones. I also felt so happy being in the store. All the staff was so pleasant and joyful. Even though the store was swamped, the lines were short because there was so many cash registers open. I wish there was a location of Trader Joe's closer to me. I'd shop at it often. Ahhhhhh Trader Joe's is like having that second slice of cake when you know you shouldn't go back for more, but you do. My wallet aches every time I so much as see the Hawaiian themed shirts from the parking lot. Parking here is a little tricky there's more demand than availability so I try to avoid peak hours. The store itself is also on the smaller side so if you can avoid grabbing a shopping cart you'll be able to glide through the aisles a little more effortlessly. When you walk in there's rows of fresh followers and who doesn't love fresh flowers to take home! As you continue you walk into the fresh fruits and veggies as well as different products that are freshly made. To be honest, I seem to have terrible luck with the fresh produce from Trader Joe's. I find it spoils faster than Publix groceries. What I'm here for are the unique items I can't find anywhere else like vegan chorizo that actually tastes like chorizo. All the cauliflower products I can think of cauliflower rice, cauliflower pizza crust, and cauliflower gnocchi. There's also lots of dehydrated fruits and veggies which I absolutely love because I often crave something salty and crunch and feel less guilty when it's a piece of dried okra. If you haven't made it to Trader Joe's make sure you go and relish all the products you can't find anywhere else. You'll end up coming back for more! read more

My shopping experiences at Trader Joe's have always been positive. All the employees seem happy to work there and are always willing to help. Today was especially notable because as I approached the register, a very nice lady named Jojo greeted me with a big smile and asked me if I had found everything ok. She also noted that I was purchasing rice cakes to which she asked if I had seen their dark chocolate-covered thin rice cakes. I had no idea this was even a thing. I like to go to Trader Joe's so much. This grocery store has a extensive variety of fresh produce and so much more. As soon as you walk in you refreshing smell of the flowers they have. It is so beautiful to walk in to a place so colorful like Trader Joe's. When I went they had beautiful orchids at the entrance. All the produce are so fresh! They always have samples of their coffee and some fruits and juice. The staff are very humble and ready to assist you in all your needs, they all wear colorful shirts that I love. My family loves their mayonnaise, as they say it's the Best One. Trader Joe's have a very decent wine, beer and champagne selection. TJ has quickly become my favorite place to shop. I can get all my groceries for the week in under $50, and always find something new to try. The trick with Trader Joe's is the parking. Depending on when you stop in, expect some delays when finding a spot to park your vehicle. BUT, if you are patient, you will get it. What really helps is that the employees at the register are efficient, so people just roll out as fast as they came in. I love shopping for veggies and snacks for the week. Everything is fresh, and stocked most of the time. I've only had issues with certain fruits at certain times of the day. TJ restocks right away so I don't usually experience that too often. It is smaller than other organic food stores, but I actually appreciate that. I don't have to go through 30 aisles of food that I don't need anyways. The simplicity is great. I find what I need, the basic essentials, and be done with it. Their chocolate packages are my new favorite discovery (aside from chocolate mochi). Don't go here on a Sunday! Please believe me - the traffic from people trying to park is so backed up that it causes a traffic jam on US1 aka Useless 1. Now that I get that off my chest, I love TJ's! I love it so much that the ride is worth it for me. They are much more affordable than Publix and have really fun and interesting foods which are mostly natural and organic. I love their cauliflower pizza and seasonal almond danish Kringle. They offer free coffee and samples of other dishes as well as wine and cheese. The staff is always very friendly. Except during the end times, it's always busy. Except for a few new faces, the personnel are quite hardworking and helpful. I normally go there once a week and pay roughly hundred for two people. Staff is friendly, prices are great and the food quality and selection rivals and beats that of any Whole Foods or Fresh Market. As I'm sure reviewers have already touched on the basics, I'll simply contribute by adding some of my favorite aspects and favorite things to buy: 1. Kid Shopping Carts- my son loves shopping with me, and coming to Trader Joe's allows him the change to really shop. I love that they have little kid carts in the front. 2. Sauces- love their Green Dragon Sauce, amongst other ones as well. If you like mild spicy, then this is it. Put it on anything! (They have several BBQ sauces that are also very good.) 3. Almond Butter and Cookie Butter- one of the best deals they have is their almond butter. Creamy and exceptionally priced. Their Cookie Butter is also great and highly addictive! Spread it on anything and your life will seem so much better... :) 4. Stir Fries- we love their Asian frozen stir fries (Shitake Mushroom Chicken, Kung Pao) and the Indian Butter Chicken, and Tikka Masala. Easy to heat up and tastes great for frozen. 5. Almond Milk, Greek Yogurt and Milk- all priced to sell and tastes great 6. Fresh Flowers- beautiful flowers at really good prices, all the time 7. Frozen Mochi- a splurge for us ( both money and calorie wise), but soooo good. 8. Baby Vanilla Cones- perfectly sized for our kiddo. 9. Bagged Salads- Champs Elysees and Baby Spinach at great prices. Love Trader Joe's and also really appreciate the fact that they offer such high quality goods at such great prices. They are definitely doing things right! read more

The parking at this TJs is horrendous and the main deterrent of me not spending coin here. The lot is always full when you want to go. No Susan, I'm not going to go early the morning or before they close because that actually defeats the purpose of making a convenient stop here. If you think parking at Burger King on a rainy day and making the quickest TJ shopping trip of your life to not be in the 10+ line of cars waiting for a parking spot - Just. Don't. Do. It. You will get towed and it will be the quickest and most expensive TJ shopping trip everrr. The employees are great. The store is on the small side. Can Mr. Joe please open up a few more shops around Miami, with better parking?? read more

LOVE LOVE TRADER JOE'S! Maybe it's because I'm one of those people who actually enjoy grocery shopping. Either way I love the variety of products that Trader Joe's has to offer. This is my go to grocery store for any type of cauliflower product, especially their cauliflower pizza. It is no secret that Trader Joe's has unique products at inexpensive prices. However, make sure to always read their expiration dates, because most of their products have fewer ingredients they tend to expire faster. Their employees are super friendly and always go the extra mile to make sure you find everything you're looking for. I would suggest going on a weekday because there's a crowd of people on the weekends and you will have to wait for parking. If you're impatient like me then I would suggest parking at the adjacent Burger King at your own risk. Also, beware that popular items will be sell out quickly on Saturdays and Sundays. If only there were more Trader Joe's locations in Miami!! read more

The fact that there isn't a Trader Joe's in every square mile is beyond my understanding. The shopping experience at Trader Joe's is not comparable. Always such a pleasure to shop here. The most amazing prices for such good food. at my home, we make an effort to make sure we can get every single item we need here to not have to shop anywhere else. Shopping at Trader Joe's has made a significant difference in our groceries budget and we get to try so many recipes with all of their amazing food and ingredients. If you haven't shopped her, please give yourself and your family the opportunity to shop here. You won't shop anywhere else. In summary: great prices, better service, even better quality food. I love Trader Joe's. It's like if Winn-Dixie & Wholefoods had a baby. Low priced, trendy, and organic. First of all they always have a awesome and cheap flower selection... I'm a strong independent woman who buys her own flowers lololol They do have the basics, milk, eggs, meats cheese... but I come here for snacking to be honest. They have a huge variety of salsa that are all really tasty. I love their corn chips (am I the only human that will crave a color of food? Ie purple). They also have all kinds of humus & veggie dips. Hello and I know you've heard of cookie butter. Which in itself comes in all kinds of varieties. Absolutely worth they hype. Don't be scared to try their wines too! Them being so low priced used to ward me off but I tried a few at a friends house and was surprised they were from Trader Joe's!!! Love this place! read more
