I love this location! They are always stocked and organized and the signage is always up and updated! I love seeing what they mark for their seasonal specials. They also don't run out of their flowers as fast as other locations! The parking is good, plenty of room and people are always leaving. The location itself is easy to access too. Shopping in Pacific Beach, San Diego, California... We had a little time before going to the airport and a wee bit of space left in our luggage... I showed my cousin AGAIN all of the snacks, greeting cards, and the hunt for the store's mascot! This store features Shelly, the hermit crab. You'll know that she's the one by her name tag! I finally found her after showing her photo to one of the clerks. We got prizes for finding Shelly! Thank you! We got a few more snacks to eat on the plane and my cousin found his favorite mints. He even got some of the high quality, 99 cents Greeting cards! Looking forward to visiting this spacious, clean, and organized Trader Joe's again! This location felt more spacious than my usual location. Lots of staff on the floor to help customers and during the time that I visited, there was lots of restocking happening. It felt like a very busy location but well managed and maintained. Per usual, friendly staff and service and quality products are budget friendly. read more

We absolutely love Trader Joe's!! When we're in San Diego, this is our go to for our grocery needs. They have this Lemony Arugula Basil Salad kit that is refreshing!! We also enjoy their cheese selections. We like the smoked Gouda and the caramelized onion cheddar cheese. We also enjoy their dip selections, the herbs and spices, and the nuts. Best prices. Obviously, they offer a full line of groceries. They aren't as big as a Vons or Sprouts, but ample selections for your weekly needs. Their products are great!!! Employees are always cheerful and friendly. Their stores are clean. Ample shared parking. We love all the locations in all the different cities. read more

I love this Trader Joe's! It feels so much more spacious than other ones I have been to with the high ceilings as well as the aisles seeming bigger. I went on a Sunday in the middle of the day for the first time and it was busy for sure. However, the checkout lines went fast and the employees who helped when checking out were so kind, friendly, as well as welcoming me to the neighborhood! I was really excited to see that they had sushi!!! (They do not have that back in my hometown in the Midwest). I was impressed with how stocked they were as well as more options than what I was used to. I will definitely be a regular here and am excited to come back. Some of my favorite items at Trader Joe's are: the chicken ceasar salad for a quick easy lunch, their chocolate milk tastes like melted chocolate ice cream, their cheeses! such an incredible selection, their vegan pasta in the refrigerated section is SO good with spinach and cashew inside, their sourdough bread, and there are so many other great items! My husband really loves their ghost pepper chips, dried mango, frozen chicken tikka masala, and the brown sugar coffee creamer. Can't wait to come back and discover more favorites! :) read more

I had some time before tonight's Elite Event at The Sandbox, so I decided to do some shopping at the nearby TJ's. While they were out of the mini totes, and the stir-fried cabbage with garlic along with the pork belly was discontinued, there was enough there to make my visit worth while. They still had my rainbow baby carrots, the frozen kimbap, the scallion pancakes, and the corn chip dippers. You definitely get your money's worth! read more

I stopped in this Trader Joe's momentarily to check it out. I was actually in the area for Lunch at Panda Express, and my Lunch guest wanted to get home after eating, so I didn't really have time to browse, and I didn't have a shopping list prepared so this was actually a brief exploratory mission consisting of not much more than peeking my head inside the door. From what I saw it was purdy much a typical Trader Joe's. it was clean and from what I could tell well stocked and hearing up for the holiday season, Christmas is the one I celebrate, if you celebrate something different, I respect that, no judgement. Dave and Devin did a fantastic job at this Trader Joe's! Trader Joe's has always been my favorite grocery store but really they went above and beyond today. The store is always clean and friendly And today I went in with my 3-year-old for the first time. Devin used his box cutter to open up my son's new packet of cookies. He really wanted to try and got him some stickers too. Dave, kindly offered to carry my groceries to my car because I had a 3-year-old in tow and wasn't exactly sure how I would do it without a cart (which my toddler refused). In the parking lot, Dave waved hi to people and called them my name, obviously this is such a neighborhood and friendly place. It was really wonderful to see them interacting with the community so well. I love this Trader Joe's so much And didn't know how my experience could possibly get any better. This branch of Trader Joe's always seems to be busy. Their side of the shared parking lot with the other businesses in this shopping plaza is disproportionately full compared to the other end where Rite Aid is located. The customer service here stands out right from the very beginning when a worker asks if you need a cart upon entry into the store. The square footage is not the largest by any means, but the layout is very spacious and customer friendly. I was impressed by how the inventory was neatly organized on the shelves, and you rarely noticed any empty spaces where something was sold out. If I had to nitpick, I do wish there was better separation and/or labeling of product categories. For example on one shelf, there were pet food items and then all of the sudden, human snacks appeared right next to them without a divider. A worker helped facilitate the line at each register by taking your cart or basket and placing it on the counter behind the currently served customer ahead. That is not a practice you will see at the large chain grocery stores. I can see why TJ's has a loyal following based on some of my observations at a recent visit. read more

I went in on a Wednesday afternoon to pick up a few things. It was definitely a little busy which is to be expected. The issue I had was the EMPLOYEES. One person walked up to the shelf I was looking at and began adjusting and fixing product on the shelf directly in front of my face, their arm crossing in front of me so close I could have stuck out my tongue and it would have touched their arm. Rude but whatever so I kept walking. A few minutes later I got bumped into by an employee with a restocking cart, they didn't even pause or say sorry or acknowledge me at all except to give ME a dirty look. Okay fine its busy this is stressing me out ill put my stuff back and go somewhere else or come back later, whatever. I put back my items (where they belong) and when I was trying to put back my cart I saw another employee bringing 3 carts stacked together back to where they belong (I assume) and I said "Oh! Can I please give this to you?" and they were like "Can you give me a minute?!" And proceeded to take the carts to the cart spot. I followed and put mine there too and I left. I have had kinder treatment from employees at the post office during Christmas. 0 stars. read more

Love TJs! We happened to be down by the Middle School here for a race and needed some re-hydration stat! They had a small cooler towards the back for drinks, did wish it was bigger though because it was mostly filled with Kombucha and Juices. Did wish they had cold coconut water. I work for a competitor and have to say this place is staffed and stocked well during the Saturday we were here. I even noticed two people facing the store on the bottle sections. Lots of parking, you can even park on the streets but I doubt you would do that due to the large shared lot. Not sure what else you would need to know about coming here except for ease of entry and exit, and perhaps asking for free stickers for your little ones. And of course they always have utensils towards the exti for those who grab food on the go. read more

This location, however, could get quite busy in terms of cars coming in and out the parking lot. The parking spots are very small. My experience in this location has always been pleasant. This location (1600 block of Garnet) is super busy! And we thought that our regular location in Downtown Summerlin was busy. Hubby said it was as if it was the only one in town, or something. We came here three times on our nearly week-long vacation last week. We needed supplies. We were staying at a nearby condo so we needed some water and food. We got bottles of water, lemonade, milk, chocolate milk, bananas, candy, bagged ice, and ginger pieces. When we ran out of water, we made another trip here. When we needed more cash back, we made another trip here. Is it funny that we came here 3x while on vacation? Well, it's hubby's favorite grocery store. (It came to be, because while I was pregnant, we went to TJ's every week.) It's my second favorite grocery store, the other one is located down the street, from this one, but we already had stocked up there, prior to driving here. Most of the stores are set up similarly with slight differences. Usually the liquor (wine and beer) is the left side wall, the produce is the right side of the wall, while the canned goods, packaged goods, vitamins, health care, trail mix, potato chips, dog and cat goods, sauces, syrups, pasta, and frozen foods are on the inside aisles. The other walls are usually bread, and refrigerated foods. And the sampling station is near this area. read more

Vons next door has zero lines. Sprouts, none. Hell, I have even gone into 4 Costco's here in San Diego without having to wait in line. Is it because this store is smaller? *shrugs* My "beef" is with one of the crew members. My friend and I were waiting in a line behind 6 people with carts. This crew member was going to each guest asking whether or not they would need bags. I was there with my friend so we were sharing a cart. When he came and asked if we needed bags, my friend said "one please" and he handed her a bag. I asked him for "one please" and he did not want to give me a paper bag. No LIE. Lmfao. He straight up said "just tell the front and they'll be able to provide you with a bag." DUDE WHAT? I said "so I don't get a bag, ok" LMFAO. You have a handful of paper bags and plastic bags. He continued going throughout the lines giving people paper bags. Here I was, salty AF because now this man is acting like I was not worthy of a paper bag. So what did I do? Okay. So, I can say this because I am a Trader Joe's person but THIS PB location has the oddest vibe of TJ shoppers. It's a frenzy in here! I made the mistake of going on a Monday and boy oh boy was it wild! To start, the parking lot is very cutthroat. You have to battle for your spot amongst the hordes. Once you take a calming breathe or two in your vehicle, you are ready to face the swarms. Enter Trader Joe's: grab a cart, put your battle helmet on and fight for your life and your veggies! I must say that the shop is well stocked but it is not a place for browsing peacefully. read more

We all know Trader Joe's has amazing food and all but I'm especially grateful for how helpful the employees were today when my sister lost her car keys with a phone battery on 2%. I called them and they were able to go find the "panicked blonde girl" in the parking lot and bring her inside to talk with me and plug her phone in, and shortly after bringing her under their wing someone found her keys and turned them in. I am a major Trader Joe's fan! Even if I don't really need groceries I always go in weekly and honestly it's one of my favorite parts of the week. Unlike most I thoroughly enjoy grocery shopping especially at Trader Joe's. I am always looking and trying the new products that are constantly coming in. Don't skip out on the fresh flowers! They are super affordable and last so long. I love seeing the variety that they offer and love making my own bouquets. My favorite part about this location specifically is checking out. not sure why TJ's discontinue some of my fav desserts and replaced w some bad ones. first it was the Chocolate Ganache and not it's the Tiramisu. I liked this store. Friendly employees and great customer service. We gave this location a try even though the Mission Valley one is closer to us. The store is bigger, more space for shoppers to maneuver especially with the Covid-19 right now. Yeah this is a huge plus for me. They are pretty good on merchandise, well stocked. Parking- plenty as they share with the other business. Customer service- Superb! We're the first in line today waiting for the senior hr to finish and the employees cleaning the shoppings carts offered bottled of water while we wait in line. Store is following the safety protocols, like sanitazing each shopping carts, wearing mask and gloves, 6 ft distance rule, they even offer to spray your hands to sanitize. They have signs outside the store for customers information, like leave your shopping bags and not allowed inside the store. 10 cents if you wished to buy a brown bag. Tip: The stores open at 9am for public, however the senior hr is 8am-9am age 60 plus. I will consider to come shop here again for future trips. read more

The PB Trader Joe's is the biggest disappointment of all the Trader Joe's in San Diego primarily for the poor customer service from the cashiers. It seems I almost always get the cashier Angela and she either really dislikes her job or just enjoys being rude to customers for entertainment! I now go out of my way to the Point Loma store to avoid the crap customer service I regularly experience at the PB Trader Joe's. Not to mention the prepared salads and sandwiches are usually sold out and gone by 7:00 pm as well... Save yourself the disappointment and go to one of the other Trader Joe locations where ur treated as any and every human being should be treated...with respect! Actually a Big Fan of this TJs --- great products, and very nice people --- many of whom were very helpful and concerned about my lost item. (Left at the checkout stand --- and hand delivered to the Lost and Found by the cashier herself.)
