Nature Center is great. Perfect trails for all ages. Restrooms and refreshments available. I did the Half mile boardwalk loop trail which is very shaded, so it wasn't feeling too hot. Very tropical. Felt like it was actually misting but no rain. Lots of water under the walkway. It's a Lush forest. Then I did the 1 mile loop prairie trail plus an extra 300 yard loop trail off the prairie trail. Overall a nice forest. Check it out if you haven't been. It's free and plenty of parking was available on a Saturday. They Even had a cleaning station with a water hose and foot scrubber to clean your shoes on the way out.

This was a great place to have a relaxed walk without traveling too far out of town.read more

This Park is THE BEST in the area!…read more My kids absolutely love it & so do I! The playground is beautiful constructed both for younger & older children. There are so many different options of activities to park take in. Some options: Adult workout area, picnic tables, kayak launching area and a wonderful walking trail. If that isn't enough this park also has a few tennis courts, pickle ball courts, basketball courts and volleyball. Including clean restrooms, cover pavilions and cameras in the parking lot. Do not forget the ample parking. If you are local and have yet to visit, I highly recommend doing so!

Hounce houses, photo opportunities, pumpkin patch, pig races, hayrides and more! The kids and us had a blast. With the overwhelming amount of people that came, it never felt so crowded that you could not participate in what you wanted. Some lines, but not always. It was pretty well organized too. Props to the staff on that! The day was beautiful,and we got through everything we wanted to in the 3 hours we were there!

What the glasses did was that it added a figure to the lights. My glasses had snowman and if I moved they moved with me. It was cool. The snowman were everywhere. My son got candy cane. It was the same experience. The staff seemed to be enjoying themselves. Some really got into the holiday spirit. Everyone was very cheerful here. It was a happy atmosphere. I was glad I came.

I have driven past it many times and curious to what it is about. It's a simple park , quiet and tranquil Despite the location. I came with my son, my friend and her daughter. There are so no playgrounds/stations for kids but they still loved it. It was beautiful. At one point on the walking trail there was a large bush that was drawing in a handful of butterflies. So lovely. My son is 8 and he has asked to go back multiple times.

In the 1980's when the Oriole Homes Corporation was developing the Country Place residential community on the north side of Holmberg Road in Parkland they offered to buy something to decorate the park and make it memorable for the residents of the new community. Parkland Commissioners Maryjane Sexton and Bobbi Pugliese wanted something that embodied the country setting so they picked a covered bridge. The bridge was suppose to cross over water but they didn't have any it could span so instead it connects land that runs between two canals. The park was deeded to Parkland on October 18, 1989. There isn't a parking lot for this park since it was designed for use by the people who lived in the community. I parked in the strip mall across the street from Holmberg Rd. and took the short walk up. The park is accessible from Holmberg Road or Hillsboro Boulevard through a tree lined trail on the west side of Winners Circle. The trail runs between the canal and apartments and it connects Covered Bridge Park to 6-acre Park off of Hillsboro Boulevard. I love a covered bridge and this park is so tranquil. In addition to the lovely bridge perfect for photos and as a backdrop for picnics, the hiking trail that runs between the two parks is wonderful for getting exercise. On my stroll I saw turtles, butterflies, and birds. This is just another reason why the name of Parkland is perfect for this picturesque city.

I revisited this park today and it deserves an upgrade to 5 stars. I was out exploring the Hilton…read moreRoad Greenway and saw that it connected to the Winston Park Nature Trail. The old nature trail in the Winston Park Nature Center was blocked off in 2018 because the decrepit boardwalk had become dangerous. Gone is the ratty old boardwalk and it was been replaced with a beautiful paved nature trail that connects the Hilton Road Greenway to the Winston Park Nature Center. The path goes through trees and along a canal filled with ducks and wading birds before exiting at the park. The trail is a fantastic improvement over what used to be here. Another upgrade to the park is a new NASA shuttle themed playground. Kids can pretend to be astronauts as they slide through the shuttle. The new playground is so cute and who knows, it just may inspire a kid to go to space. Other park amenities include a basketball court, pavilion, picnic area, racquetball court, tennis and volleyball courts, and a restroom. This park is so much better than the last time I was here. Well done Coconut Creek!
