I absolutely recommend calling this company if you are looking for a new AC / heat pump HVAC system…read morequote. This really personable and professional guy came out to our house and went through the full spiel with my husband. He was talking about features we had never considered or heard of and really good features that anyone would want to have if you are health conscious. He offered us a quote for a new unit installed outright and then he told us about a 10 year payment program where you get your unit fully maintained and serviced for a monthly cost of $159. My husband was sold on both options, he didn't care which we close, but having a sales background, I'm almost immune and for our needs right now, this was not the program or company for us, but yes, if we were in our forever home, I would have totally considered buying what this man was selling.

I purchased the advantage plan which I receive two maintenance visits per year. During my most recent maintenance visit, the technician changed the filter and checked my 6 year old unit. He gave a report on my unit stating my capacitor reading was not the number it should be. He stated it would eventually go out. Also stated I needed Freon., and the compression would go out soon. About 30 minutes after he left, my house started getting hot. I checked the thermostat and saw the temperature was rising. I immediately called the company because my AC was working fine before the technician touched it. I made it clear to the Office Manager that I wanted my unit working like it was before he touched it and I wasn't paying any money to get it back to a working status. Instead of taking my concerns seriously, the office manager seemed more focused on my frustration than on resolving the issue. After speaking with the owner, they sent the technician back. His conversation was the same as the office manager informing me what the technician wrote and telling me my capacitor just happened to go out when he left. Also said that's pretty normal. I can't make this crap up! When the technician returned , he immediately tried to sell me a new capacitor for $268, claiming his readings showed it was failing. I declined because I no longer trusted the company. I then called another HVAC company for a second opinion. Within minutes, they discovered the real problem--the technician left one switch on my breaker off which is why the unit was on when he left but went off 15 minutes later. . They flipped it back on, and my AC worked normal again. There was absolutely nothing wrong with my capacitor nor was freon needed. This isn't my first bad experience with Service Experts. Two years ago, after another technician came out for a maintenance visit, my capacitor failed the very next day. A different HVAC company later showed me the burned capacitor that had been removed from my unit. Keep in mind that wasn't on the report. I told the Service Expert and the other company that came out to replace it that it's very ironic my capacitor went out the very next day. Looking back, I strongly believe my original capacitor was replaced during that visit. Based on my experiences, I no longer trust Service Experts. I cannot recommend a company that creates unnecessary problems and then tries to sell expensive repairs that aren't needed. I would encourage anyone considering their services to get a second opinion before approving any recommended repairs. Also stay away from the maintenance service plan because it's only a gimmick to upsell at the customers expense. They will call you for your service visit that you pay on a monthly installment only to find a way to get more money out of you at any cost!!!!

Everyone who answered the phone or returned calls was courteous and helpful. We needed a new toilet with bidet seat for a disabled son. Is tomorrow ok for the tech to come out for a quote? Wow! Next day, Cabe arrives, no spiel but an honest assessment, good information, no BS. He was knowledgeable, friendly, had an easy humor. And he listened to us! Next week he installs the toilet and bidet, and on his way out I ask him to look at the faucets in the laundry area. They were pretty bad, and as I had already thought, should probably be replaced. Give me a quote, I say, and when he does I ask when he can do the work. Right now, he replies, pending clearance from the office. Clearance granted, he replaces the faucets with new quarter turn ones. Yes, he had to cut into the wall, and while he wasn't obliged to patch it up, he put it back together fairly well. Not long after that we called about a leaking shower. Again Cabe shows up. Replaces the cartridge, but while the leaking stops, the shower handle spins 360 and doesn't check the water from reaching scalding temperatures. But he doesn't support that brand of faucet. Nevertheless, he needs only a few parts - he actually hunts them down at the local big box store! When he leaves, we have a working shower that won't burn our son. He didn't have to do go to all this effort. But he demonstrated a concern for our son's needs. We were the focus of his attention. Excellent service and a real nice guy. Cabe was outstanding, a real gem. Trustworthy. He's like a good friend. I can't recommend Smith's highly enough.

Precision has been providing our family exceptional service for many years…read more Actually, it all started for us (before we got married) when my wife's heat went out during a bad winter storm. Larry himself (co-owner with Kathe) drove over - in the freezing cold and snowy roads - and got her heat back on. We have been using them ever since. Several years ago when my mother's attic unit was having problems, we had called another company to check it out. We were quoted $1,800 for only a repair. I called Precision and Larry came out - within an hour of receiving my call - on a Saturday. He was able to make the repair as part of the service call for less than $1,800. Larry did correctly suggest that her original attic unit should be replaced within a year. Seeing that the base unit was more than 50 years old, I knew he was right. We went with Precision for the new unit to be installed instead of the first company. Kathe even came out as they were installing the new unit; she is a pleasure to work with. After Precision replaced the unit, there was a problem - on a Sunday evening - and Evan drove up from Hernando, MS and was able to make some repairs to hold us over until the repairs were made. These folks truly do go "above and beyond" when it comes to providing quality, timely service. This includes everyone from Amanda's fielding of every call to Larry and Kathy coordinating everyone - as well as each technician who has helped us through the years. We highly recommend these folks to anyone who wants quality Heat and A/C service. You deserve it too - call them!

I called around to several places and One Hour Heating and Air was the only place that could get to me in the next 24 hours, and they were out first thing in the morning on 7/5/2023. Other places quoted me over a week out. My technician was Bill Minor and he was super polite, and walked me through everything he did (I'm a note taker.) He was able to reconnect the wire with wire nuts on top of the wires, and when we went inside to test when it was back on, he noticed it wasn't really pushing cold air. Air, sure, but not cold air. That's how my system had been since I bought the place, I explained, and that it was "on." He disagreed. He shows me how the back tube should be ice cold while working and mine was lukewarm. He said this could be WAY better. I was perplexed because my AC had just been looked at/serviced by Hiller AC in May. A power surge fried some wires and they had to take the units totally apart. I was told the freon was super expensive for old units (like $2k for freon) and to replace both units. $20k was my quote for brand new AC units. they said don't bother with new freon, replace the units. Was also told that modern day freon wouldn't work in my 1989 old TRANE brand units. Bill from One Hour went, "I can vastly improve the air, and no way is the freon gonna be that expensive. You've been had. (conned.)" He proceeds to tell me if I just add 2 lbs of freon, I will be getting ICE COLD air. Its 95 degrees out. I just had another AC unit company out there. They didn't point that out. I'm a bit blown away by his service at this point. I explain my bewilderment but I fully trust him by this point. Being a single female, throughout my home ownership, I've repeatedly been given repair quotes and have it be high. They don't expect a lot of questions or try to take advantage of my lack of knowledge. Bill 100% did NOT do that. He walked me through every step, was super thorough, turned my AC from functional to fantastically cold, and pointed out everything apparently Hiller hadn't mentioned or skipped over with me. I ended up with One Hour by happenstance and now I'll never use anyone else. And with all these outages, I've been recommending them profusely to everyone else I know out here now. He proceeds to get my permission for the $100 per pound freon (that yes, CAN go in my unit after all) and $200 later, we wait a few minutes and check again: I have ice cold, arctic air coming out of my vents! He then proceeds to tell me about the monthly subscription to One Hour and all of its benefits. That it will really help my old units in their maintenance and they could survive longer with good care. (because I don't exactly have $20k lying around for new units.) I am SO thankful to Bill, truly. He repaired my unit, noticed things the other company didn't (or just didn't tell me), answered every question I had, got my air ICE COLD and was a great guy through the whole process. I was taught that a good contractor is someone you'd let your grandma use. Well, Bill could DATE my grandma and be part of the family. My AC is amazingly cold now, and my electric bill has gone down (because its so much more efficient now.) Use One Hour and insist on Bill Minor, his badge said he was the Chief Mechanical Officer. You won't be disappointed. My AC can now take a 78 degree room down to 70 in an hour with his help now! Lowest I could ever get it before was 75. I hope he sees this! Thank you, Bill!
