Everyone I have met is very chill and Noah know how to ask the right question to get your hair done right. I understand that we should kind of already know how we like our hair done, but sometimes we're just not sure. JT is patient and kind when he cuts our toddler's hair-- ya know, the kid you can hear screaming and resisting from a few blocks away. You can trust both of them to give you what you're looking for. JT is always booked, so you want to contact him in advance to make an appt rather than walk in. Best way to go. The shop itself has the cool, edgy downtown Sanford vibe running all through it. As a woman, it is really hard to find a barber that knows how to trim and texturize longer hair with an undercut (shaved sides). My sister told me about Trevor (She also uses him), after I had multiple horrible experiences at different shops, I booked an appointment for today. Trevor took me on time, he looked at photos that I showed him, and really listened to what I was looking for. He even answered questions about techniques while he cut my hair. I discovered Trevor through his Instagram page and was really impressed with his work, so I decided to give him a shot. I've lived here in Orlando for 3 years and still hadn't found a shop that really seemed to fit with what I was looking for until now. Trevor is extremely down to earth, fun to talk to, and, most of all, he pays a ton of attention to detail. If you have high expectations for how your hair should be cut, you need to go here. I'm the kind of guy that always struggles to find a good barber whenever I move somewhere new. To give you an idea, it usually takes me visiting 5 or 6 different places before I find what works for me. However, I got lucky this time around as I just moved to Lake Mary a little over a month ago and Trevor was only the second guy I tried, and he was exceptional. Awesome haircut, good prices and friendly. I first tried to walk in earlier this week, but he didn't have anything available for a few days - that's how I knew he was going to be good. I came in at 6:15pm as a walk in after work. They guy who was going to cut my hair was unprofessional and rude stating he needed to know exactly how much hair he needed to cut off after I stated I just wanted to get a trim. The same person has been cutting my hair for many years, so I was little hesitant to let someone else cut it. But I was also looking to change it up a bit and wanted something a little more current. I came across Trevor's Instagram page (@tailorfade), and was really impressed with his work. He's done some amazing cuts. I also thought it was promising that Trevor and his colleagues at Traditions Barbershop/Studio 105 Salon are also instructors/mentors at Paul Mitchell The School Orlando. That told me they stay current on their techniques and styles. Trevor listened to my requests, and went above and beyond to deliver an awesome hair style that's current and kept within my aesthetic. He uses a nice blend of old-school barber technique with cosmetology skill to deliver amazing results. I also thought it was great how Trevor explained his technique while he cut and styled my hair, ensuring I knew why he did something a certain way so I would be able to replicate it. I really appreciate the thought and insight he provided, in addition to the amazing haircut. He's very personable and down to earth too; it's like hanging out with your best friend. I likely could have found a barber closer to my home, but I'm not certain I'd be as satisfied as I am with Trevor's service and results.
