Gina is an amazing hair stylist and i won't go to anyone else while i live in Florida

HILARY does phenomenal work here at the Hair Cuttery in Sanford. She does excellent work on my fine/full hair type. She always takes her time to perfect my cut and blowout. She listens to what I want and gives me helpful suggestions to obtain the results I'm wishing for. I've had several color treatments by Hilary. Each one has turned out beautifully and long lasting. I highly recommend to try her out if needing a hairstylist in the Sanford area. read more

I have booked appointments here twice. Yesterday I had my first cut with Minh, she does a great job. She gave me a really good haircut, with a great shampoo and scalp massage. The prices seem reasonable for Seminole county. They say walk ins are welcome but it seem like you will have a wait. It is super easy to make your appointment online. Prices have gone up and quality of work has gone down. Staff appears to be inexperienced and feeling rushed and exasperated. There's no art to any of their work. Some claim 16 years experience, yet I think they need more experience. Highly disappointing. If you're looking for a style instead of just a cut, you can definitely forgot this place. Also, I'm sorry to say it, but Carrie (the manager) appears to be a person that's angry and frustrated 24/7, and I believe her attitude is rubbing off to the rest of the staff. Very unprofessional. Don't recommend it. A waste of time. I made an appointment and when I call to confirm, they couldn't find it. Had to wait a week. Then, the day of the appointment, Anna asks us to wait bc she wasn't finished with her customer. We waited patiently. Then, after 30min wait, she tells us she doesn't have time to cut and styled my daughter's hair. Very disappointed. Not even an honest apology. I guess they are the only ones with plenty of demand! Heather is awesome! She's great at making suggestions on what to do with hair and she does the services beautifully and very professionally.

Overall very positive experience. While it's a bit pricey in one sense, I felt the quality of the service was there. I felt that my hairdresser listened to what my requests were and gave some super helpful suggestions. I was very happy overall with how my hair turned out. I did have to wait a while. I don't usually do serious reviews but as a frequent yelp reviewer I wanted to contribute to this page. I've gotten my hair cut here maybe 5 times. Although my requests are simple (whether it's taking a few inches off or cutting some face framing) every time my hair comes out just as I have imagined it to. My stylist Amanda always listens to exactly what I want. Even though IVE only see her do "easier" things, I'm 100% sure she will be able to meet any expectation you have for her. She's really nice and going here is always an efficient and comfortable experience. I know places like Hair Cuttery get a bad rap because they aren't as "fancy" as other places but I highly recommend at least trying this one out and keeping in mind that some of the people here have a real talent for cosmetology. I was skeptical at first since I've had a bad experience when I was so young. I went in today to do a big chop and some layers. My hair was up to my butt. I have to say Regina , took her time with me but yet she was so fast & the outcome is marvelous! I love my new hair. read more

It's so dramatic ... but I've cried so much today every time I look in the mirror because I'm so frustrated. My hair is my thing... which is why I'm even more frustrated at myself alone for trusting a complete stranger to "trim" it since I didn't need any color right now. I figured why not ? I'm not going to trek all the way to my guy in another city for a quick trim. I said multiple times to "preserve the length" and asked if we could do some layers. The hairdresser seemed so busy talking away that after she washed my hair she didn't even fathom how much she was taking off. I'm also mad I walked out fine... I knew it felt much shorter but truly couldn't tell what damage had been done until I got home and dried it because she let me LEAVE WITH IT SOAKING WET, claiming she had another appointment in a few minutes (when I saw no one else waiting) She had to of taken a good 4-5 inches off and my hair is so short compared to what it was. Barely any layers and uneven bangs. I'm honestly more mad at myself that I didn't fully notice until later and let this all happen. The most unprofessional experience. I've gotten my hair cut here many times. I come here frequently and it's a good place to get it done. No matter who the barber is I always get a decent haircut out of it. Prices vary but they are reasonable and good. read more

Staff seems to turn over every few months. Made my last trip there today, after I checked in, the technician said she needed to sweep up her area then she could take me. She comes back to the counter, someone else walks in, she checks them in and then tells me, he checked in on-line so I have to wait. Needless to say, I didn't have to wait. I left and won't be back. read more

I went in it started off great I asked for a blow out. The hair dresser cut my hair and finished blow drying it and it looked terrible! She knew it and suggested flat ironing it (which is what I was trying to avoid in the first place.) She did it and it still turned out pretty bad and I told her I wasn't pleased. SHE TOLD ME IT WAS BECAUSE I WASN'T DRINKING ENOUGH WATER, EATING RIGHT, OR USING TO MUCH HEAT IN MY HAIR. I don't do any of those things. And shame on her. She said she'd get the manager the manager told me NOT EVERYONE WILL KNOW HOW TO BLOW DRY MY TYPE OF HAIR. I get compliments on my hair every day and they were making me feel terrible. She used her flat iron and then end product was what I wanted in the first place just in a blow out. I STILL PAYED THE FULL AMOUNT BUT I WILL NEVER RETURN. read more

Been going here for while...we loved our hair cuts...they seem to have all new staff that take forever to get to you and when they do...they take hours to do just a hair cut. Our saturday was waisted just because the girl that did my hair enjoyed to talk more than cut my hair. Going to another hair cuttery avoiding this one until these people get better trained. read more
