I've been to various other shops over the years, where the barber likes to cut your hair faster than a speeding bullet in a reckless manner. Becky, on the other hand, likes to take her time as she is very detail orientated. She really cares about doing a great job to your specifications. With that being said, Becky has been cutting hair for a few decades, and use to work with "Barber Bob" in Belleville for seven years, prior to starting her own business just off Main Street. The vibe in the Village Barber Shop is fantastic, with a lot of interior antiques and is very clean. He does a great job in cutting hair, and does both male and females hair styles. Unlike many barbers who no longer use a straight razor, Rod is one of the very few that still does. He believes that it's not a haircut, unless you shave around the hairline and down the back of the neck. He always makes sure to have fresh blades in his razor. Rodney, is very economical and only charges $10.00 per haircut. This is by far cheaper than most other barber shops in the area that usually charge $13.00 for a regular haircut, and sometimes higher for a flat top.
