In court she said the cop showed up so that means I automatically would lose the case and she never presented my case to the Judge. She plea bargained with the crooked cop for a $100 deduction. so, it cost me $350 and a point on my record for a small deduction on the fine. I was better off paying the $220 fine to start. Later, when the case moved toward court, he requested $5,000. I paid him $3,000 cash up front (without receiving a receipt) and agreed to pay the remaining $2,000 after the court appearance. When I later went to his office with questions, he denied ever receiving the $3,000. His secretary confirmed in front of both of us that I had indeed paid, which left him silent. Despite this, he never entered the payment into his records. On the day of court, he did not show up, and my case was dropped. The judge stated he could not work for free--even though I had already paid him $3,000. This left me unrepresented and forced me to find another attorney to clean up the situation. I trusted him because I knew his family, but I regret that trust. In my experience, he was unprofessional, unreliable, and failed to honor our agreement.
