This restaurant has really become one of my favorite places to dine at while traveling to Rio. We…read moregot the feijoada and it was incredibly good. If you like a little spice with some of your food, be sure to discard the tobasco sauce and ask for the molho pimenta especial. Be sparing with how much you use, it can get pretty ridiculous. The service was great and the staff was friendly. I don't think they speak much English, descriptive hand gestures and menu props are welcome and likely offensive. I'm stopping here again before I leave. Our meal for two came out to around R$100 for four drinks and feijoada to share. Portion sizes are large.

Its not that big of a space, but the open air concept, makes the space feel larger. We've gone in groups of 6-8 and people have enjoyed their beer, caipirinhas, and juices. For food we tend to split a Churrasco Misto: which comes on a hot plate cuts of beef, chicken and sausages. Rice and traditional farofa comes along with this dish. the only thing missing from it are Fries, but we always put in a separate order. Besides the Churrasco Misto, there are other versions of the Hot plate dishes: Only picanha, a Chorizo plate, and a seafood plate (which offers shrimp, octopus and squid and mussels). They also have other individual dishes and traditional brazilian bar food. For dessert we have had their Doce de Leite Pasteis which are great to share. Their Petit Gateau was ok, simple, nothing amazing. But if you are interested for something sweet to end the day they work too.

My boyfriend and I wanted to dress up and go out for a nice dinner while visiting Rio and we were…read morereally excited about this place! This place was nice but if you're a foreigner - I would suggest visiting Churrascaria Palace near Copacabana instead. We loved it so much we went twice during our one week stay in Rio. The service was 100x better, many more cuts of steak coming around, amazing salad bar, and the ambience was just as nice. Also more foreigner friendly. **Knocking four stars off service specifically for the two hostesses up front (Jan 27 '26). Upon entering, they immediately gave each other a weird look making us feel weird, uncomfortable, and not welcome. They looked me up and down and exchanged judgmental looks upon entering and once again as we were leaving after our meal. As a classy restaurant, I expect a warm welcome from a hostess who carries that same classy standard in her demeanor and behavior.

I did a lot of research when picking a churrascaria to go to in Rio, and ultimately settled on…read moreAssador over Fogo / Churrascaria Palace. I kept my expectations tempered, as people online said that in the end the best quality meat will not be at a churrascaria, so you're going more for the AYCE experience rather than the actual best cuts of meat. Overall, I had a great time - the restaurant was beautiful even at night (I heard in the day, there's a stunning view of Sugarloaf Mountain). The meats were free flowing - it might have helped that the table was close to the kitchen, so servers would come very quickly. It was pretty much exactly the experience I was looking for. They provide cards so that you can ask which cut of meat it is if it's not clear (and if you can't speak Portuguese). I was able to try a bunch of different cuts until I was fully stuffed. I will say I never requested a specific cut, and have heard that it might take some time if you are just looking for specific items.
