We usually stop by to pick up fresh tropical fruits like longan, rambutan, and mangosteen. Price is relatively high but their fruit is fresh. It's more visually appealing for give fresher looking tropical fruit as gift. Definitely need to bring cash for transaction here. Their prices varied depending on where their shipment comes from that day. It was chaotic and definitely required some vietnamese language to buy especially if you have any questions. This is a family run business. I asked the grandma how much was the bag of rose apples, she says $7..so I take out $7 she swipes my hand and curses me in Vietnamese and says $7/lb!!! First of all $7 a pound??? So expensive!! I'd rather buy lobster or crabs if I'm going to spend that much!! There's another establishment down the street that sells rose apples for $5 a bag!! The family here has always been very rude!! Plus they cheat you on the weighing and prices. I buy cut flowers bouquet here sometimes. Sometimes they have fresh cut flowers, sometimes they sell old left over flowers that don't look good. Last week I talked to their flower lady about buying a lot of flower for anniversary party. She told yes you can order ahead 2 days etc. I asked her so if I order ahead I will get fresh flowers not those old flower boxes sitting on the floor right? She said yes ofcourse so I ordered 2 boxes( 24 creams and 24 pink) roses. I picked up the flowered on Friday night.. trusting them gave me the new fresh flowers so I put them in nice cold pot of water I have it ready in my car and drove home. The next day (Saturday) I got up early starting to make the flower basket for the afternoon party. When I opened the first cream rose box, they looked ok so I started my basket.. but when I opened the pink rose boxes, I saw what you see in the pictures. Omg .. my face turned green, what the *** .. they sold me the old flower that been sitting on their floor for days, weeks. I saw this pink box flower on their floor on the day I ordered flower.. But i never in million years thought these ppl could give me those days old flower for anniversary party. Wow.. That is so un professional and no "uy tin" at all. Today I came to talk to them, all they told me is you have to bring back the flower or nothing I can do.. what the f***k.. how can I keep those smell rot flowers in my place when we had the party going on? I told her I was busy prepared the party and we trashed them already becuz we can't keep the rot flowers in the house when we have the party. She kept saying nothing I can do.. wow. No sorry nothing. If you've been to Southeast Asia and are craving the fruit there, don't be in despair! This place has most of it - rambutan, jackfruit, soursop, mangosteen, huge plantains, mini mangoes, lychee, etc. They are open to bartering and their fruits all are in good condition. I've been to some fruit shops where the fruits are all bruised, way too ripe, and therefore super attractive to the flies that come in and land on them. Yuck! Seriously they deserve negative stars. I tend to stop by here since this is the fruit store my parents would shop at growing up. They are also the largest fruit store in a row of smaller ones. Throughout the years that I have stopped here to purchase exotic fruits that you often would not get at a Vons or Costco. I've never had great experiences but it never seems to bother me much since I know they can care less about customer service . They always raise the price of everything super high so then u can bargain it down. Just how it works at these types of places. However today I went in and wanted to buy 4 boxes of rambuton. I asked how much she said $23 per box. I asked how much for 4. She kind of laughed and said same price. Meanwhile I hear everyone around me shouting their bargains. Oh my goodness... so this place has the worst customer service. Buy your fruits elsewhere. Buyers beware, you'll get bad fruits. If you do purchase it, please have the owner open the batch of box on the spot for you to inspect. My brother and sister in-law bought fruits from them a few months ago and they were bringing it back to Utah for a wedding and when they opened the "fresh box" of mang cau the entire batch was bad. This was $30.00 per box. We called out and the lady said she was sorry and that what we bought it as it and there's no return and they can't do anything about it. Last week, my mom was going to Utah to attend a wedding and usually she would bring fruits over. This time she had forgotten about the situation a few months ago and bought fruits from this store again and the same thing happened. The batch of fruits she bought was bad!!! She just arrived home today and came out there to let Ba Tu know what happened and she again told my mom that she couldn't do anything and would give her a $5.00 discount haha. My mom told her to keep the money, what kind of service is that? Such a slap in the face. On top of that! This lady was my mom's boss a few years back. After I brought this matter to the ladies attention she rudely gave me the stare of death and stopped assisting me. Soon after my wife gave them a piece of her mind and we happily left.
