We also got good service too! Patrick Louie was our primary rep and he was patient and helpful in explaining things, working the numbers, and even working on his days off to help! Siti also volunteered to help with one of the demos too and the two of them make coming back a great idea. It's located a bit out of the way out of town, but the plentiful parking in the private lot out front really helps, as does the accessibility for those with a wheelchair or baby stroller. read more

"The customer is always right" "100% customer satisfaction" If you believe in either of these phrase's, you will probably want to stay away from Trail and shop elsewhere. (WalMart, CDN Tire, Best Buy) I didn't research my recent fridge purchase. I rushed it, as a single parent of 2, I felt I needed to get a fridge quick! I figured hey, it's a fridge, it's modern, it should work for me. It was actually stressful. If a washer/ dryer goes, you go to a laundromat. Dishwasher goes, you hand wash for a bit. A fridge goes, no other real options, you need a fridge! No matter how I configured it, I could only use 1 shelf! This didn't work for me, and I was not happy. 36 hours later, I requested to upgrade to a more expensive fridge, pay the delivery/ return fees, but under no circumstances can an appliance be returned to Trail. This was also a brand new item, not scratch/ dent. I was told it was "used". Yup, 36 hours used. Most people do buy fridges to use them. I suggest if you want to deal with Trail, thoroughly research your purchase. Most importantly make sure you read up on all their policies, this is key. In hindsight, I realize I would have been way better off buying my fridge from a kid in a blue shirt, or some guy in an orange apron, I would have gotten better service. Yes, I screwed up. I let my family and myself down. I now have a $1300 daily reminder of my mistake! Oh well, it works, but I am in no way happy or satisfied. Buyer Beware at Trail. You know I love Trail Appliances and over the years I have bought many appliances from them. Their salespeople are experts and the products were delivered quickly and professionally. It's why I use them, that is until now. My Electrolux double built-in oven has a problem that is covered by the extended warranty I bought from Trail and that is administered by Transglobal Appliance Service. My problem started in early April 2021 and is still unresolved. They sent a technician 30 days after contact, I thought to fix the problem, but no, he came to take a look and compile an accurate list of repair parts they would need. And then nothing.....silence.....nothing! I have called them several times and they have promised to get back to me and have not. What bugs me the most is that Trail Appliances must know about Trans Global's poor service record given the large number of outstanding complaints on the Better Business Bureau's website. That they condone this bad service reflects poorly on Trail's good reputation. Apparently, this isn't a new issue and a little pressure from Trail might get my oven fixed! read more

I wish I could give ZERO STARS. I came in with my elderly parents whom were looking for a refrigerator and stove. The only person that greeted us was the friendly administrator at the front. We were never helped and we walked through the entire centre twice. We had to ask the admin to get someone to help us. All of the sales people were sitting at their desks drinking their large McCafes and staring at us. The awkward "umm SALES?! Can you help them???" A gruff looking guy sighed and got up. I do not recommend this company based on their lack of customer service and brand support. Major over-promising, massive under-delivering. We went to Trial Appliances Clearance Center to purchase a new oven because the co-owner in our house had purchased a few times from them and always had good experiences in terms of both product and customer service. We experienced neither. I'll try to make what has become a long story short: we purchase a new oven - yes a floor model, but with no refurbishment, few minor side scratches and was assured in working condition - and on the day of delivery, it did not work upon plugging it in. We have had the oven in our house for 7 weeks now, and it has worked fully for 1 week, and partially or not at all the remainder of the time. We have had multiple calls to Trail and KitchenAid over warranty and servicing and have had several service calls to fix multiple issues. When the oven broke down for the 4th time, I called our sales person and said I'd had it, this was unacceptable and I wanted the oven replaced or my money back so I could shop elsewhere. The sales person agreed that this was beyond ridiculous and he would talk to his manager and get back to me....however... From that point, I was told I had to go to KitchenAid because we had started a previous warranty claim (which we did based on the advice Trail gave us when we told them the oven was not working on day 1). He said to ask for a replacement and he'd take it up with KitchenAid himself if I had issues. KitchenAid denied any replacement "according to policy" and stuck to the ongoing tech in my house situation. Went back to Trail, and was told they were "really sorry" but there was absolutely nothing more they could do. We were essentially on our own to deal with KitchenAid and a non-working oven. Overall: the most disappointing, over-promising, under-delivering, frustrating experience I've had buying anything ever. Since then, we also had to replace our washer and dryer and needless to say, we went and spent that hard-earned money elsewhere on another brand with a company that will stand behind their product and actually provide customer service. He was happy answer all our questions and inquiries and made us feel we were his top priority. The washer I bought was delivered with missing part and they took it back and after two weeks they delivered it again and the stacking kit was not compatible with i dryer I have which I was told it will be. Finally they told me they don't have the parts and I have to cancel after two weeks. I will never buy any thing from this company again the customer service is a joke. read more

We purchased an on sale Maytag washer/dryer online. Customer service set up delivery and take away on Bowen Island for under $200.. less than what local delivery guy charges just to drop it at the door. We got 2 calls stating delivery time and that they were on the way... 3 polite and efficient guys and a truck arrived on time via BC ferries with all the proper tools and dollies... unhooked old units and installed new one with new water hoses and dryer vent tubing included, tested it to make sure it was working properly... no fuss no mess all done in about 30 to 40 mins and back on the ferry to the mainland. Took one star off because washer wasn't perfectly level.. a 2 second adjustment. No complaints here. read more

If I could put 0 stars I would. The 3 installers that delivered our washer/dryer scratched the door of the dryer, installed it in a ridiculous position and didn't bother to level it even though is very obvious even without a level. All of these things were reported including photos an hour after install and could have all be easily fixed and resolved but instead its been over three weeks of trying to get Trail to even respond. It's honestly a bit shocking that they think this is ok. Heard great things about them. Disappointed to say that our experience has been the complete opposite. read more

I ordered my entire houses appliances from trail. Stove, microwave, dishwasher, fridge, beverage fridge, washer and dryer. Paid in advance by 8 weeks. When they delivered the appliances, the beverage fridge did not work. I called and informed customer service. They sent out a repair person and told me that I need a new one. The paperwork will take 7-10 business days. I called after 14business days to follow up. I was told that the paper work is not in yet. It took 8 phone calls and two months, speaking to different levels of management before I was finally given a working beverage fridge. I would not purchase any appliances from trail again but maybe because they knew I just bought everything and wouldn't be buying again for a long time, they didn't care. read more

WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER! Our brand new oven broke down. We had a technician come and inspect. He left a big mess. Told us the parts would be a week. To my delight, we get a call the next day saying the parts were actually in! But a technician couldn't come fix it for 2 WEEKS because the original technician "went on vacation"! I tried to come up with some sort of solution with them: "is there another technician that can do it?" etc. nope! Wouldn't even TRY to come up with a solution with me. We were unable to make food for 2 WEEKS! And their technician gets to call me in the morning and set ANY 2 hour window of time that day he wants!! So I'm totally at his mercy. I made my first ever visit to the Trail Appliances Clearance center on Annacis Island on Sunday, July 15th, 2018. It was neat, clean, clearly organized and blessedly cool!! I was professionally approached by Siti Delai. Long story short, he made my day. I left having purchased a new range and he helped me find a new stacked washer and dryer as well. However, we weren't sure the new W/D unit would fit in my house as the new unit's measurements did not match the I ones I have taken from my old installed unit. I wanted that new unit badly so Siti agreed to stop by my house on his way home from work to measure the area & confirm whether the new W/D would actually fit. The good news is yes it will. I was able to go into the Trail Appliances store near my home on King George highway the very next morning and pay for that unit. Overall the staff at Trail were all friendly, professional, knowledgeable, helpful & not at all pushy. I dealt with Wendy in Reception at the Clearance Center who was very friendly and offered me cold water on a hot day. Siti, who found me perfect new appliances and was very helpful and 100% friendly professional. I met a very pleasant and efficient Rana at the King George store who finalized my delivery & and sorted out the payment on the washer/dryer unit. What a pleasure doing business with Trail! You now have a major new fan who will always come to you for my appliance needs. In this day and age of "self-service" Trail was a delightful customer experience. read more

I ordered a kitchen appliance set, a significant order, all paid for in advance of expected delivery 3 weeks after order date, as some pieces needed to be brought in to stock. Checked in the day before delivery, all ok. Then, The delivery person informed me that only 2 of the 4 pieces were ready at the warehouse for him to deliver to me on the day of delivery. is that ok?, he asked. No, it was not. In frustration, no longer having any trust with this organization, I cancelled my order, which they allowed, as I did not get what I paid for, when I was promised it.. The salesman was unavailable, got the sales manager, he was rude and didn't offer up any acceptable solutions. Very bad experience. I tried again to buy appliances the next day with another supplier, and 2 weeks later, they delivered my new appliances without incident. So, I'm not going to use trail again unless I need a floor stock, in stock item, it appears they are unable to track orders that are ordered from their suppliers, at least in my experience. read more

Unlike the Trail Appliance stores elsewhere, this Trail Appliances Clearance Centre doesn't prioritize customer service at all. I came here looking for fridge and asked for help from a sales rep with slicked hair and an attitude, who didn't even get out of his seat to show me around instead replied condescendingly, "what you see here is what we got". I also witnessed him mocking a visible minority customer for wanting a small discount, by saying "i don't think you understand!" when she politely insisted. I have never witnessed such rude behavior from any sales person I've encountered. I took my business elsewhere and went to coast appliances instead and gladly dropped 2K on a business that values it's customer. So to sum up, if you want scratch and dent units and can stomach being ridiculed for asking questions or for a discount, then by all means, head on down. read more

I went to the Richmond store to look at some of the appliances but liked him so much that I returned to the Clearance Centre to complete the purchase. We looked for a replacement refrigerator and ended up at Trail through the recommendation of a friend. We found a nice LG fridge with a couple of minor dents in the front and side (could be helped with a "dent-puller"), and purchased it. It was 30% off their normal retail price. Upon delivery, we were unhappy to learn that our doorways were 1/2 inch too narrow to fit the fridge, even with all doors removed. We tried many things, but could not get the fridge into the house. The fridge had to be returned. I am giving a 5-star review because Trail was really accommodating and gave us a full refund, even though they could have pushed for something like a store credit. We had great help from salesman Siti Delai, from help on the floor to managing the refund. All in all, even though we did not get our appliance, it was a positive experience that makes us want to go back to them (maybe when we get our doorways widened!) next time. read more
