When this office, under Dr. Suh, was first opened it performed great services for my dogs. In my opinion, now with a new inexperienced young veterinarian on board she states repeatedly how "uncomfortable" she is with doing the same procedure that was done by Dr. Suh. In addition, I feel the office is more concerned with profit than healing. On two prior visits I was talked into cryosurgery procedures, which did absolutely nothing for the small cyst on my dog's right shoulder, left a scar by missing the cyst and was costly. The third visit I asked for the same procedure of removal previously done by Dr. Suh, but every excuse in the world was given why she could not do the procedure because she was "uncomfortable" with it. I can no longer recommend this veterinarian's office for big or small procedures. read more

Do not waste your time or money! Been going here for years. Used to think the pricing was fair but in the last few years it's changed. They are looking to charge you for lots of unnecessary tests, visits, follow ups plus Dr Suh mentioned awful possible diseases likely to scare us into more treatments many times. He even had to redo our dog's surgery (for free) a month later because he messed it up the first time. Brought dog to a second well trusted well established vet also more expensive than trail pet that said none of the potential diagnoses are accurate. Second vet recommended fewer follow ups needed. Second vet also cleaned up the crusted over incision which trail pet sent our dog home with looking nasty. Aside from the doctor the staff is a hot mess. Only one person seems to know anything the rest are clueless. Buyer beware! If this was a doctor for people they'd have a malpractice lawsuit to deal with after everything we've gone through. read more

My dog was having serious issues...not eating or drinking, very lethargic and had lost a lot of weight. My friend and I brought her in and the vet who seems to be the older one (there's two vets on staff) didn't have any bedside manner.) I was very distraught and the vet was ordering us to make a decision...well the decision was to NOT continue working with him....he even made me sign a statement saying I understood that of something serious happened, it wasn't on them. Well we left and went to another emergency vet off 635 and Preston Road who was much more helpful and kind. They gave us meds to encourage her eating and stop diarrhea. Also friends and I prayed and she's fully recovered. I had given her lots of food and she ate it all! I am so thankful that we found the right vet to work with. Dr. Suh and his staff are the best! My 13yo Pomeranian went in with a benign tumor that was behind one of his ears on 12/29/25. I called the morning of and they were able to fit me in! My pup's original vet doesn't perform Cryotherapy so I was quite relieved to find Dr. Suh. Dr. Suh also treats many other speciality issues that pertain to dogs and cats that many vets don't perform or treat. Dr. Suh successfully froze the tumor. Another hospital said our dog would die within 6 months even if operated, but now it's been almost a year since the surgery here, and our dog is still alive. I went there and saw Dr. Suh for an ultrasound needed on my for baby and my vet only has someone come in house once a week for radiology, and based upon house if my dog was and his test results, I was not comfortable waiting. One bonus, but not the most important was they saved me $600 over my vet. From the moment we walked to the door it smelled so fresh and clean. I have never walked into a vet that smelled so good. I was promptly greeted. They were so nice took me back to the room, and the vet tech came in to ask some questions in the 10 years I have had my dog my dog has never been so chill, relaxed happy and loving any vet office. The energy was just so peaceful and positive and my dog always freaks out for obvious reasons and to me that is so important. It tells you a lot about the people in the office. Great peaceful calm vibe. Dr Suh is absolutely wonderful!! He was so thorough in explaining things in detail answering questions and his humbleness and honesty just made me absolutely love him. His specialty is trauma and I want to share that because it's very important to have a good trauma vet just in case. After the ultrasound and going over the results he said he wanted to give me the name and number of 24 hour er vet that can handle his issue better so in case anything goes wrong before we can come back I am prepared with all the information needed and his records so I am not left panicking wondering what to do where I need to go how do I get his records etc. I would recommend him and his office to anyone. read more

Just want to brag again on Dr. Jeffrey Suh. I don't know if you've ever paid vet specialists for services not offered by typical vets or Vet ER's....but they're extremely expensive. Dr. Suh has come through for our family's pets time and time and time again. We have two rescued pit bulls who are the sweetest pups you'd ever want to meet. As their lives have gone by, we've shared so much love. But one of them has had all sorts of special needs that have developed over time, and Dr Suh has treated them all, from skin infections, to allergies, and more. Recently, my female, Furie le'Fae, tore both hind ACLs. She's a stoic, but it had to be so painful. Dr. Suh had just opened his orthopedic services, so he performed surgery on one leg called a tight rope procedure, and on the other leg he used a TPLO procedure. Both procedures were extensive, required weeks of recovery with no weight bearing, and weekly checkups. Really major surgery on her legs. The legs were done separately so she had one functional leg each time. Now, after 4 or 5 months, she is not only walking on both hind legs, she's running and playing. Her cone is off, and she is a happy camper. Never have I had a vet like Dr. Suh. His extensive knowledge and experience has benefitted our pets time and time again. He is always so reasonable with pricing, so attentive and caring, so skilled. Furie's life has been extended over and over by his care. I can't say enough. Thank you Dr. Suh!! read more

These very fine people were great with my struggle for my ESA cat. She was with me for 12 years. I'm disabled and can't leave my apartment. The called me and emailed me the whole time, so I felt involved. They agreed to work with my friend who provided transport to the vet. They listened to my issues (more than most) and worked with me to solve issues. I must mention the a few people, Dr. Suh was very kind and cared. My first contact was with Haylee. Poor her. **This review is to give greatest gratitude to Dr. Suh, Michael, Dr. Kim, Alexis, Carolina, Kirsten and all who work/support the Trail Pet space.** We lost our sweet baby girl (Sachi) in October of 2022. She was a beautiful Tortoiseshell cat who graced our lives for 12 years with her beauty and consistently upbeat, playful, joyful, calming personality. Over all those years, she was an indoor cat, extremely healthy; until out-of-the-blue she just stopped eating, drinking, started losing weight. We sought advice from several veterinarians -- no-one could find the reason for her symptoms; and by the time we found Dr. Suh (who diagnosed pancreatitis, possible dry FIP), the disease had caused too much damage to vital organs. Dr Suh and his team (great gratitude to Michael) were with us EVERY step of the way as we realized we would have to tell her goodbye. It was obvious to us their schedule was full with other patients/surgeries -- and yet they went out of their way to take our calls/walk-in's whenever necessary as she was kept hydrated and pain-free until "we" could handle the final moment ..... and then again (with all going on in their healing space), they stayed with us -- such patience, kindness and care -- as we cried and she took her last breath. Fantastic! Dr Suh was knowledgeable about Great Danes. Danes are subject to "bloat" where the stomach inverts, in fact it is the most common cause of death in Great Danes. We asked about gastroplexy, a surgical procedure to prevent bloat. Dr Suh had just returned from a convention and studies had shown that it was only 75% successful and he didn't recommend it unless our dog needed another abdominal surgery where you were already inside the dog. Trust me, a vet that isn't constantly suggesting expensive surgeries or playing on your guilt is refreshing. Straight forward and honest! The office was immaculate, well designed. Just a great experience. So impressed with Dr Suh that we travel 35 miles from our home to his office to get the best care for our dog. read more

I found the doctor who is the owner to be extremely condescending. When I attempted to clarify some if the information his tech had shared, he became defensive and said that he was the doctor, so I should defer to his expertise. As a physician myself (which I did not share with the owner,) I found this behavior to be paternalistic and outdated. Shared decision making and transparency only serve to enhance care, not detract from it. I will not take my dogs back to this establishment. I want a doctor who will listen. read more

They saved my cat's life today. I went to another vet a month ago and they said my cat had an eye infection. The drug they gave did not work. My cat started coughing and doing other strange things. I took him to Trail Pet and they found that he not only had a respiratory infection but also a life threatening bladder infection. If not for their thoroughness, amazing staff, and Dr. Suh, I don't know that my cat would still be here. They did an incredible job and their price transparency was great.
