She was a wealth of knowledge and such a fun person to spend the day with. Everywhere we went, she seemed to know everything. She interspersed personal anecdotes allowing us to get to know her better and to understand more about the area. Everything was included in the price of the tour. Lunch (of your choice - not just preset options), a beer at the brewery, and admission to the nature center were all taken care of. There were also snacks and water available in the van. We got lucky with a small group (4 people including us!), but the van only holds 13 people - much better than the giant coach busses! This company's inspection practices and billing disputes make thorough documentation absolutely essential to avoid being wrongfully charged for pre-existing damage.

Flight was on the ground and we were at the door at 5:55pm. Lady ignored us and locked the doors. There were a handful of renters that were left either finding a place to stay or staying in the parking lot in the rv. Checkout the following morning took a whole 10 minutes! So we had to delay our departure by 13 hours for a 10 minute process. For $4100 to rent the rv, I would think a reasonable amount of flexibility warranted. This delayed us getting to a scheduled fishing charter at cooper landing. The shuttle was also not running so we had to grab an Uber to get there. Be aware of this when considering flight times. The rv was ok.

Very remote, largely unknown campground. There is no service of any kind, so come prepared with…read moreanything you may need (firewood, water, emergency needs). Camping is free. There are 6 spots along the creeks - first come, first served. Layout is a little weird since some sites require you to walk through other people's sites to get to yours. The position of the site also makes it very shady and extremely buggy. It's beautiful, but the bugs here are phenomenal. 2 clean pit toilets. Each site has a bear box, picnic table, and firepit. 1 parking spot each. Absolutely NO ACCOMMODATION or access for campers or pullalongs. Palmer Creek Road is extremely narrow and, in many places, requires you to pull over and let others pass. No potable water, but located at the intersection of Coeur D'Alene and Palmer Creeks, so filtration is possible if you come prepared. No cell service. A place to unplug, enjoy nature. Be prepared for bears, etc. If the campground is full there are a number of places along the road that work as makeshift campsites as well, although the Forest Service has most places posted as Keep Off for tundra remediation due to ATV damage. This entire portion of the Chugach is posted as absolutely no ATV usage.
