I rarely write reviews, but this experience touched my heart so much that I couldn't not share it. What an absolutely extraordinary, once-in-a-lifetime Alaskan adventure! From the moment we arrived, we were surrounded by people who were genuinely kind, welcoming, professional, and full of positive energy. Every person we encountered went above and beyond, and it made an already incredible experience feel truly magical. Ashley was our driver, and we absolutely loved having her with us. She was so knowledgeable, friendly, and genuinely wonderful to spend time with. She made us feel comfortable and cared for every step of the way. Sam was our pilot, and I have to admit, I was nervous! But he was absolutely fantastic. He made the flight feel smooth, safe, and so much fun. I'll never forget looking out at the breathtaking Alaskan scenery and realizing I was actually experiencing something I had only dreamed about. And then there was Maddie, our dog sled musher. She was AMAZING! She was so cool, so knowledgeable, and such a perfect match for us. We loved her energy and her personality, and you could truly feel the love she has for what she does. Learning from her and experiencing the dogs up close was something I will carry with me for a very long time. Honestly, the scenery was breathtaking, the adventure was unforgettable, and the entire experience was incredible--but it was the PEOPLE who made it truly special. Ashley, Sam, Maddie, and everyone behind the scenes: thank you for putting so much heart into what you do. You gave us memories that we will talk about for years to come. If you are considering this excursion, DO IT! You get so much more than you think you're getting. Easily one of the most epic and fun experiences I've ever had. We spent the day paddle boarding, hiking across glaciers, climbing around, and exploring places that honestly didn't feel real. It was the kind of adventure where you're constantly stopping to take in what's around you, then immediately getting excited about what's next. Simon and Taval were awesome guides and really made the day. They were incredibly knowledgeable and experienced, but also so friendly, relaxed, and genuinely fun to be around. They made us feel comfortable while still letting us have the full adventure, and you could tell they really cared about making the experience as good as possible. I genuinely don't know how we're going to top this one. If you're in Alaska, do this. read more

My son and I went on the Grand Knik tour with three landings and WOW! We absolutely loved it! Dylan was our pilot and he was the best! Besides being a great pilot, he told us all about the glacier and surrounding area. During the landings he walked around with us and explained everything. He even showed us what wild berries to eat and of course we tried them. The last landing on the ice itself was an out of this world experience. We spent almost two weeks touring Alaska and this was by far the highlight of the trip. I highly recommend this tour to anyone going to Alaska. read more

Wow, how to put this day in words!! My boyfriend and I booked a helicopter glacier tour with paddle boarding on GetYourGuide. It was worth every cent. From the second we walked into Alaska Helicopter Tours we were treated with friendly faces. All the people checking us in and helping us with the safety video were very kind. We then got into our dry suits, thanks to Kaiden, and excitedly waited for our tour to begin. The pilots we had were amazing! We got to see the beautiful knik glacier from above and we felt very safe. Now the actual tour! Our guides were Timothy and Taval. They went above and beyond to give us an amazing time. We got to swim in the pools, paddle board around them, and also explore the glacier. This experience is a once in a lifetime opportunity and our guides literally made the trip. They were helpful with taking so many pictures and videos of us. It was so amazing, I can't even describe it. If you are debating doing this activity, and might be worried about the cost, don't. It's absolutely worth every single penny and that's thanks to the wonderful staff. We hope one day to return, but in the meantime we will be telling everyone we know to check this out! read more

We crafted our two week Alaskan vacation around this experience and it was the apex of our trip. It started with a super smooth helicopter ride out to the glacier where we were met by our guides Halle, Simon, and Tim. I can't stress this enough you could NOT ask for three better guides. They were absolutely phenomenal! They tailored the experience around our interest and experience (and maturity level to some extent). The guides took hundreds of photos and videos so we're could remain present in the moment and get the most is out the experience. They were all so much fun. This was absolutely the best experience! We did the paddle boarding on the glacier. Our guides Miciah (sorry do not know how to spell his name) and Simon were fantastic! They picked out a great spot for us. We really enjoyed that it was a private tour so we got to do basically what we wanted. We did it all, paddling, swimming and hiking. I love how we were able to just give them our phones and cameras so we could focus on the experience. I really can't say enough how great this experience was. Definitely a once in a lifetime thing. Who doesn't want to try mushing at an Iditarod camp?! So fun. Trudy was on time and so friendly, sharing stories and her charger for the drive to the lodge. Greeted by a couple moose and checked in, fitted with boots and off the meet Conner our fab helicopter pilot. The team of dogs and our Mush captain, Seth the pirate (it was "Halloween") at the camp were fun, knowledgeable and ready to mush. Perfect! We all got to try it out for those that wanted to. One of our very favorite excursions. We booked with Viator. Flew into Anchorage and rented a car on Turo. Easy 50 min drive, lots to look at. Once at the facility we were checked in, watched a safety video, received our waterproof boots and off we went! The helicopter tour is amazing. Flying over glaciers is a once in a lifetime event. The dogsled riding was fun, they let you play with the dogs (lots of dogs) and love on them, then back to the helicopter for another 20 min ride back. Unbelievable sights. Really only went because a friend suggested we do. Loved it. Cody was a fabulous helicopter pilote. read more

What an amazing experience! From the moment we were picked up from our hotel to the moment we were dropped off. Kevin, who drove us was very informative, prepared and helpful. He shared great stories, history and made an hour drive seem like 15 min. Once you arrive you are greeted and helped to get ready and prepared. Our pilot Stephen, was a great pilot and tour guide. He was very careful to take care of we old folks which was good as ice is slippery. We fly all over the Knik Glacier what an amazing view and experience. Thank you Stephen you made the flight and glacier come alive for us. Once we returned we got to hang out at the lodge. Which in itself was a blast. We met other thrill seeking enthusiasts, families and even an older gentleman traveling across Alaska on a Harley. As we sat and enjoyed the views, Eli one of the managers came and kept us company. Me and my friend booked this tour that had both dog sledding & glacier landing + walking. It was terrific experience. The staff at check-in were efficient & transparent in communication: they came to proactively offer alternatives & refund options when the pilots reported growing wind prior to the departure of our tour; then they also mentioned that if we were willing to make an attempt and let the pilot decide if it were safe enough to land at the dog camp (which was with significant elevation), we could also do that & receive partial refund if eventually we couldn't land at the dog camp. Throughout this communication, the staff were very patient, and when we decided to make an attempt and let the pilot decide, it turned out to be awesome cuz the pilot that we flew with (whose name's Ben) was knowledgeable, communicative, and attentative. He provided great guidance at the glacier walking (a final part of our tour) and before that, we got to land at the dog camp! :) The dog sledding was super fun! Oh the huskies and puppies!! I highly recommend this tour, and highly recommend, if you have time, do both dog sledding and glacier landing + walking. read more

Did a tour in mid-August at about 6:30pm. This was a fantastic tour and i could not recommend it more! the view was absolutely incredible and the pilot/tour guide was amazing as well. This is definitely worth the price if you have the money. From the very beginning, this excursion was fantastic. Ashley was our shuttle driver and she was very helpful letting us know about the flight and filling us in on the history of things not only in Anchorage but other cities in Alaska. The staff was friendly and our pilot Kory made the flight even better with his knowledge and how much he wanted to make sure we had a great experience. Some areas are not great for a landing but he would give us a great tour and explain what we were looking at with all of the land. We made 3 different stops and each one got better. Our final stop was on a true ice glacier and you get the chance to see some very cool landscapes and walk around and explore. I would recommend taking a water bottle and drinking some of the glacier water and I would highly recommend doing the 3 landings as opposed to the one landing trip. It's well worth the extra money and makes the whole thing so much better. Without a doubt, one of the best excursions I've ever done. read more

Booked this flight online. Got picked up by sprinter style van at the Hilton in Downtown Anchorage and brought out to the resort. The van driver was great guy, excellent personality. we had a very enjoyable ride to and from the resort. Our helicopter pilot was fantastic. Took us out along each side of the glacier and then landed us in the middle by some of the big crystal blue pools. We'll worth the time and price. read more
