    Went in with my husband on a Friday. Set it up with Joby for them to order and install truck…read moreairbags and spray the bed liner. They told us to drop it off for two days the following week. Scheduled for Thurs-Fri. We paid them a $500 deposit at that time to order the airbags. Before drop off already getting phone calls to go over again what was needed to be sprayed even though the sales man and another employee who does the spraying came out to the truck on day one and we went over everything. We drop the truck off Wednesday night. Thursday got a call from the service manager asking me again what I wanted sprayed and also that my truck was not scheduled to be there and that they were "accommodating me the best they could". They told me on Thursday that they didn't have the airbags and they thought they might come in Friday. Bottom line about this, in my opinion, they never ordered the airbags on day one like they said. Personal opinion here as well the staff dead not sympathetic to the issues and offered no assistance in resolving this, in any way. They spoke to me like my time meant nothing, like i didn't drive over an hour out of my way for this. And that now I am going elsewhere for the airbags. After all of this the following day I called a local competitor who was very sympathetic and apologized that I had to go through that. They told me that they would be "more than happy to pick up where HTT left off". That they could have the airbags guaranteed within two days just like HTT had said. That's why I'm sure they did not order the airbags on the Friday I came in. A competitor can get it in two days but HTT it's over a week? Doesn't add up. Also... a bit sloppy on the bed liner. I had to explain several times what I needed done. Step surfaces and interior bed. See photos. Over spray, touch up brush work that doesn't look good, paint where it shouldn't be. Over scuffed my diamond aluminum plate. I told the sales man Joby that i had an 11ft body but because of the thru box it was only an 8ft bed, but when he quoted me I was still quoted for an 11ft bed plus extra gallons to spray the bumper. And when I brought this up at the payment time they ended up billing me for an 11ft bed no extra gallons. I assume this was the more expensive rate vs 8ft bed with a couple gallons. HTT lacks any empathy for customers time, money, and even getting repeat business because I for one am never coming back nor anyone else from my company. -judging by the other reviews I've read on this and other sites seems like the company/owner does not care at all in the moment but is ready to comment and try to save face in reviews after the customer is long gone. Do not be fooled.

Wanted a trailer hitch for my 2019 Ram. Asked for a "all-in" quote, and was told $530. I asked if that included tax, and was told "no". I said that seemed high already, and he said he would include the tax in the $530. Josh said the part would be in, in a few days. After not hearing for 2 plus weeks, I called, and was told there was a problem with the part, but they'd have it now in two days. Due to scheduling problems on my part, I called twice more, and had to remind Josh that the $530 included tax, which he did not recall. When I went in, and gave to truck to Josh for the installation, I failed to mention the tax. After the work was done, I was handed the bill. You guessed it, the tax was added on to the $530. I reminded Josh of the $530 (all-in) quote, and he pretended that it was the first time he heard of it. I was angry, and should have told him to remove the hitch, but did not. The $594 invoice still seemed high, and was told that there was a 4% credit card fee attached, which New York merchants are scrambling over to attach this fee to their customers. On the way out, I asked for the labor mark-up that Kingston Caps & Trailers charge over the parts cost, and Josh told me usually $100 for each an hour. My work took about 40 minutes. I looked at the price of the Curt trailer hitch that I just bought, and the part was $235. At $100 for labor, the cost should have been $335 plus tax. I was charged $259 over the part and labor cost that I should have been charged, or a 77% overcharge. Nice. With the disrespect and contempt some merchants treat their clientele, I have to wonder about the intelligence of the merchants. I was clearly duped by KCT here, and it is my fault for not being super careful with these guys. In the long run, however, I wonder how much damage they are actually doing to their business, with practices such as these.
