I wasn't disciplined and didn't sign up until October. Easily the best decision I made. They moved to a bigger location in Forestville and the energy is still amazing!! I love it here because 1 It's black and women-owned I mean I was sold from knowing that! You feel a sense of belonging and the community they have build feels so genuine. The owner is also a gem and she's truly goals!! Being a woman you can feel so intimated and uncomfortable going to the normal local gyms in the area, but you don't have to worry about that feeling anymore at HFF! At first I was a bit intimated, but once I got into a groove it has been a great journey so far. I'm on my second month and I'm glad to be a part of the HFF family! The trainers don't play and they really push your limits! This place is 24/7 for members and it has all the equipment of a big box gym but less people. I have been attending group classes for about 2 months now and like it. I've been here a handful of times throughout the past year. It has the grungy gym rat vibe to it. Lots of free weights and muscle-y dudes doing muscle-y dude things. The staff are always friendly but come and go from the front desk so unless you're a regular you won't know who the staff are, because they don't seem to have a uniform or name tags. The facilities are decently clean for a gym, they have a few stations with spray bottles and paper towels but it's hit or miss whether or not there will actually be cleaner in them. Their equipment is a mixture of really old machines and updated modern equipment. It seems they are slowly upgrading their older equipment. They have a free weights section, a training area, kick boxing area and plenty of machines. Just don't come with super high expectations and you won't be disappointed.

Since I'm not really a class or group instructed fitness type of person, I never really thought about this location too heavily. Then my trainer dropped out of heaven especially for me!! We train here on a regular basis and I love all of what the gym has to offer. I get a full and intense work-out each and every time I'm here. Kettle bells, suicides, boxing, you name it, I do it here. Every single staff member is friendly and helpful. Always speaking to you, encouraging/motivating you, joking with you and just providing excellent customer service. The gym offers classes for children, as well as adults. I can't give specifics on the classes offered, because I'm not exactly sure what they are, but I do know I see repeat clients. So whatever classes they have, keeps them coming back, week after week. An actual boxing ring is on one side and artificial turf is on another, with boxing bags and other equipment located throughout. I love it! It's a much different gym than I'm use too. I have a membership at another gym and I haven't been there since I started at Level Up. Note to self: CANCEL THE OTHER MEMBERSHIP! I don't feel intimidated, nor do I feel like all eyes are on me. The staff does a great job in keeping the gym clean. The environment and staff is friendly. The energy they have can be contiguous. They offer a lot of workout options for kids, adolescent, and adults. They tend to have a lot of groups activities which cater to adults. Why my four stars. I think they could do a little more for the kids training. Since my children started they continue to keep them with the kids who are beginning. An issue for me since my kids have to restart the basic training which takes time from their training. They should keep the new incoming kids separated from the experienced. Once they catch up with the basic they can be included. Overall, I'll continue. It has help my girls in many positive ways. We might take a break but plan to continue in the future.
