Find somewhere else to spend your money and really learn how to ride, especially if you are first time rider. This outfit teaches you the bare minimum in order to pass your license exam. After this rushed course, you are in no way qualified to ride on the open road without being a danger to others or to yourself. They need smaller class size, woman only classes, woman instructors and double the riding hours. This course should be conducted over 2 weekends at a minimum. It maybe ok for experienced riders looking to improve/correct their slow speed skills and get a discount on their insurance. However, I do not recommend this course to any new rider. Even if you pass the test, it in no way prepares you for the real thing so don't kid yourself into thinking otherwise. It's dangerous and should not be rushed or shortchanged read more

Just finished my BRC yesterday in Brockton and can't say enough good things. The RiderCoach was beyond capable with decades of experience and able to communicate shortcomings/concerns matter-of-factly, reiterate key points/skills/maneuvers clearly and also able to encourage/approve without coming off like a cheerleader. I took the training wheels class with Doc and Dan on July 19, 2020 in Easton, MA. It was such an fun and educational experience!! It was such a helpful class for a novice like myself who has never rode a trike. The things I learned truly helped me to understand the machine and how to stay safe on the road. I enjoyed the class experience followed by the course training. We spent a significant time on the course getting comfortable with the Can Am and I fell more in love with it as the day went by. The instructors were patient and encouraging through the learning process. A couple of weeks after the class I was able to buy a Can Am!!! So excited with my new purchase and I feel super confident on the road thanks to your course. I took the Basic Motorcycle Safety course in order to obtain a Connecticut Motorcycle endorsement. I had a fantastic experience with the instructors at Training Wheels! I am a complete novice. Each exercise was designed to get me from no experience, to gradually developing a skill, until I was enthusiastically riding, shifting, and maneuvering. Obviously, I'm still a novice. However I feel very confident that I can operate a motorcycle at a beginner level. The instructors are thorough, personal, without any needless ego or demeanor. My son and I took the refresher class. After being long time dirt bike riders. I haven't riden in sometime. This class was perfect ! Other then the heat we had that day lol I can't say enough about how much time and effort these guys put into helping you feel comfortable and safe on your motorcycle. I took the beginner course last weekend at the Plympton location and can now say I have my motorcycle license! When my sister and I were looking for a place to learn how to ride, Training Wheels was recommended by multiple friends. I'm glad we chose the Kingston-Plympton location because we had the pleasure of learning on the hottest weekend of the summer and they had an air-conditioned classroom. Rumor has it that the other locations are just parking lots, so I'm glad we had some relief from the heat. The weekend was long (7:30 - 6:30 on Sat, 7:30 - 1:30 on Sun), but 85% of the time was spent on the motorcycles outside. This was definitely a plus, as the real learning happens on the bike. The first day, you start with the basics in the classroom. An hour later, we were already on the bikes, going step by step. The instructors really know how to build on each step. The first day was a lot of basics, whereas the second day consists of more difficult maneuvers for the test later in the afternoon. By the time you take the road test, I felt totally prepared. A lot of us were nervous for this part, but in hindsight, there was really nothing to worry about. I can't say enough great things about the instructors. Josh, Eric, and Brendan were all outstanding. They answered any and every question, no matter how many times you've already covered the topic. Their coaching was spot on, encouraging and positive all the way through. They really do want you to do your best (the safest way possible). I went from sitting on the back of motorcycles to knowing how to control my own bike -- super empowering. I cannot wait to get out there and practice some more before really hitting the streets! Thanks Training Wheels for giving me the skills and confidence I need to get out there! PLUS - if you take the basic rider course and get your own bike within a year, they'll let you take the experienced rider course for free. I may just have to take them up on that! read more

I took the Basic Rider Course in Bellingham with John. It was an outstanding experience. John was super patient and an excellent teacher. It amazed me how much progress we made in just two days, and the total experience was actually relaxing and fun. And since I already had my motorcycle learner's permit (took a while with COVID), the course completed my requirements for my M license; they put in all the paperwork and I'll get it in the mail. Last summer, I took a motorcycle licensure course from Training Wheels at their Framingham classes due to a recommendation of a coworker of mine. It went as smoothly as he described it over my own two-day course experience. They had two educators present, one focused on the direct instruction in the classroom and relaying instructions (Gary), the other in performing demonstrations and maintenance of the bikes to be used for the course. Both instructors were very professional at their tasks in dealing with the variety of students present. The first day was half classroom learning, half on-the-bike education. The needed classroom instruction was as expected, professional, by-the-video/book guided instruction. Then we had to learn all the techniques. The instructors made an adequate balance of teaching everyone at their own speed, my own relatively slow since I had never been on a motorcycle before nor was I in an environment to do so (though I am a good amount of time removed from permanently scarring my knees on BMXes, but I digress...). They could swap between teaching individuals certain skills while not slowing down the overall pace of the whole class. The second day was largely the written exam, more advanced drills and practice, followed by the driving test. By having the motorcycle permit prior, you could immediately get your license endorsement after completing the course without additional paperwork. Mine came in the mail about a week after the course was over, so there was definitely no dawdling. They also offer refresher/starter courses for people who want to get a grasp of how a motorcycle feels like (again). Training Wheels definitely made getting a motorcycle license a breeze for me. read more

I took the MREP basic program at the Framingham location two weeks ago and it was a great experience. They had us learning proper riding techniques on the bikes pretty much right off the bat and there was an extensive classrom portion as well that was very informative and engaged the students in a way that mad the material easy to absorb. The instructors Gary and Doc were awesome very helpful and concerned with producing safe responsible riders. After completing the course they sent the information to the RMV and since I prepaid for the license when I got my permit I now have my license. My thanks to Gary and Doc and the excellent program at training wheels. I had never ridden a motorcycle before and came away confident in my budding ability. I look forward to maybe taking some of their more advanced classes in the future. read more

I took the 2 day beginner riding course in Brockton. I had 2 fantastic, knowledgeable instructors and went from barely knowing how to turn on a motorcycle to riding comfortably!! I loved it. The course went smoothly and they ensured we had "mastered" each step before continuing onto the next. Great curriculum too - easy to read textbook that I'll definitely save for future reference.
